It's looking like that tener I put on Hull winning the PL and Huddersfield gaining automatic promotion may pay off!

And after thinking we were solid at the back, 5 goals conceded in two games and it could be more.
At 1-0 I would have been fairly confident that Seb would work and work and work until he got his customary foul in the box, Chery slots it home and we escape with a point but 2-0 down we're just too toothless in attack to make that up.

I guess everyone who complains about Ned not being a RB will get to see him back in his more traditional role against Preston.
Perch in at RB? No choice I guess.

They've subbed in a striker (Payne) so they're going for it.

I guess I won't be getting the new away shirt I order anytime soon as the team doesn't even seem to have them.
They've worn these Motherwell third shirts out already. Entire pre-season it's all they wore, and now for the first away game of the new season.

And what's that about half of the total?
And how many acres do you need to build a 40,000 seat stadium?

Does anyone know exactly how much of the land in question is owned by Cargiant? I'm certain it isn't all of it, but they seem to act as if they alone are to determine what is built on the whole site, but do they have control of 50% of it? 30%? 80%?

8/8/2015 vs. Charlton 8/7/2016 vs. Leeds

Average Age: 29.27 Average Age: 24.82 Players over 30: 4 Players over 30: 0
Of course the line up against Leeds is guess, maybe he'll throw Henry or Perch in there, but if Furlong of Kpekawa got a start that would make them even younger.
Good sign I think. Especially if we ended to play this pressing game. Seems like we'll have the legs for it at least, if not the brains.

I'm sure Cousins is great, but isn't he a central midfielder? Shouldn't wingers and front men be the priority at this point.
We have Luongo, Borysiuk, Henry and Gladwin already plus Toszer and Sandra if we can't offload them. Meanwhile with Phillips off we don't really have anyone to play on the right do we? Except maybe Mackie.
I know Cousins has played on the left for Charlton so maybe they figure he's versatile enough to fit a variety of positions.

I hope the fact that we now employ their former CEO bodes well for more deals like this in the future. Bought for £2m, sold a year and a half later for £15m+
A little better than buying Fer for £8m and selling him for £4.5m no? And everyone, including myself, is happy for even that.

FOXES KEANE ON MICHAEL
Premier League champions Leicester City will make an offer in excess of £15million for Burnley’s Michael Keane, according to the Daily Mail.
The 23-year-old is top of Claudio Ranieri’s shopping list and the Foxes already have had a £15m bid rejected.
It’s reported that Burnley want £20m for their centre-back.

Sorry but this really blows! Clint's old I get it but Ale is only in his late 20's and played well this season. I think almost everyone agreed that we missed him when he wasn't on the pitch no?
And they both actually love the club. I can't imagine Ale would hold us up for much $$ considering we stuck with him through his injury, it just seems to me that these are the exact players we need to have around and yet Hoilett may stay???

Former R Marcus Bignot is managing a guy at Solihull name of Akwasi Asante. Center forward with 17 goals in all competitions. Pace to burn, big lad. Couldn't stay healthy at Birmingham and they finally got rid of him but now he seems to be right health wise and has learned a bit of humility dropping down the leagues. Scored a first half hat trick last week for them.
He's Dutch, managed by a former Ranger, hungry and looking for redemption and only 23. Should be be on our radar?

Everyone on that list with the possible exception of Kpekawa should go. Whether they will or not is a different question. Ale Fuarlin is the type of player we should keep until his knee falls off if we're really as concerned as we often say we are about having the "right type" around and building a good culture around the club. First of all he is actually an excellent player (if injury prone), and we're a better team with him on the pitch. Number 2 he actually cares about the club and fans, like really actually cares. We've been loyal to him and he'll return the favor so I doubt he'll cost much compared to dross like Caulker and Sandro. If he does his knee again, I don't care have him coach the midfielders, make him the kit man whatever. Same goes for Clint Hill, I don't care if he breaks a hip and has to use a walker to get around the box..KEEP HIM. These are EXACTLY the type of players we need around.

I'm going to give Hall the benefit of the doubt since he's just coming back from injury and had been great all year.
To me with Smithies in goal, Hall in the center of defense, luongo in midfield and guys like Chery, Washington and Polter up front you have the start of a decent spine there.
We still lack a real leader too. Missed Hill tonight and Ned just doesn't have the fire and concentration to lead that defense, too many lapses. Personally I would start to transition Hill into a coaching role by telling him to go out a find someone just like him but 10 or 15 years younger. It really is amazing what a difference he makes, even at 37.

On a positive note we appear to have something in Smithies. How many penalties has he saved this year? And he just made a great stop on a breakaway after yet another defensive howler, this time from Angela.

I follow the Football League really closely, the Championship especially and its a league where there seem to be a fair number of eye catching scorelines. There is usually at least one team that really piles it on and wins 4-0 or 5-0. Not QPR, 2-0 is about as gaudy as it gets.

According to the FLP Suk-Young started for Charleton in the center of midfield? So our "best left back" was a center mid all along? Did anyone see the game?
