Niko Hamalainen: Dagenham & Redbridge keep QPR youngsterDagenham & Redbridge have extended QPR youngster Niko Hamalainen's loan spell by a month. The 18-year-old left-back joined the Daggers in August and is yet to make his league debut. He did, however, feature in their recent League Cup first-round defeat by Charlton Athletic. Hamalainen, a Finland Under-18 international who signed for QPR a year ago, will now stay with the League Two club until 10 October. www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/34188045

QPR linked with Pritchard, Chelsea still said to be chasing Varane 08/09/2015 A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving QPR and Chelsea.. The Daily Mail reckon QPR want to sign Alex Pritchard on loan from Tottenham. Pritchard, 22, spent last season on loan at Brentford, having previously been on loan at Swindon Town and Peterborough. Tottenham are expected to make him available again when the loan window for Football League clubs opens next week. QPR have signed a number of midfielders this summer and currently have no plans to add another to their squad. However, it is suggested that Rangers, whose head coach Chris Ramsey worked with Pritchard at Spurs, are interested. Alex Pritchard of Tottenham Pritchard impressed while on loan at Brentford last season Meanwhile, Chelsea are still being linked with Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane. The Daily Star claim he is a target for both the Blues and Manchester United. www.westlondonsport.com/features-comment/football-wls-transfer-gossip-qpr-linked-with-tottenham-midfielder

I read we might go back to Southend with an improved offer for their Keeper. I would endorse that and we can let Green go in January.

Furlong out on loan to the cobblers More from the Offie DARNELL FURLONG JOINS NORTHAMPTON ON LOANPUBLISHED 13:55 11th September 2015 by @qprfc Young right-back agrees month-long deal with Cobblers ... Furlong agrees month loan spell at League Two side Young right-back set for first spell out on loan 19 year-old could make Cobblers debut this weekend YOUNG QPR defender Darnell Furlong has joined Northampton Town on loan. Darnell, son of former R's legend Paul, has agreed a one month deal with the League Two side, which runs until October 10th. The 19 year-old made his QPR debut against Hull City in the Premier League last season and went on to make a further two appearances in the top-flight before sustaining an injury. Since then, he has been restricted to just one appearance this term, in our Capital One Cup second round defeat to Carlisle United. Furlong could be in line to make his Cobblers debut against Oxford United this weekend. From the Northampton Chronicle more from Furlong www.northamptonchron.co.uk/sport/football/qpr-teenager-furling-well-prepared-for-cobblers-debut-1-6953243?QPR teenager Furling well prepared for Cobblers debutHAPPY MAN - Cobblers boss Chris Wilder has strengthened his squad with the loan signings of Darnell Furlong and Shaun Brisley jeremy.casey@jpress.co.uk 14:39 Friday 11 September 2015 Loan signing Darnell Furlong is set to make his Football League debut for the Cobblers against Oxford United on Saturday - but the 19-year-old right-back isn’t likely to be overawed by the occasion. That’s because the youngster has already made three starts in the Barclays Premier League for his parent club Queens Park Rangers. With the Hoops sliding towards relegation last season, caretaker manager Chris Ramsey turned to the club’s youth, and that included Furlong. He made his debut in a 2-1 defeat at Hull City before starting against the mighty Arsenal at Loftus Road, and then going to Selhurst Park to take on Crystal Palace. That is what you call being thrown in at the deep end, and Furlong admitted: “It was crazy, and the standard was unbelievable. “It was a shock, but at the same time I thought I would just go in and try to do my best. Some of it ended up alright, so it was good.” Furlong has found himself out of the first team picture at Loftus Road this season as Ramsey, who is now permanent manager, plots the club’s quest to win promotion back to the top flight. He has made only one appearance, in the 2-1 Capital One Cup defeat to Carlisle United, and although he was on the bench for the Rs’ most recent Sky Bet Championship game, a 1-0 win at Huddersfield Town, Ramsey has decided the youngster would be better served getting out and playing. And Furlong agrees, saying: “When you are in the 21s, and are a youngster trying to break through into the first team, you know that a step is that you have to go out (on loan) and learn, so you are kind of ready for it. “That has happened, I have had to come, and I am looking forward to it. I can’t wait to start.” And he added: “I think this is going to be a good experience for me. “I need to get some games and a bit more playing experience, so I am looking forward to it.” So what can Cobblers fans expect to see from their new player? “I am going to do what I normally do, and just try and play my normal game and see how it goes,” said the teenager, who is likely to replace another young player in Josh Lelan in the starting line-up for Saturday’s game with Oxford. “I am a right-back, and I like to get forward and support up the pitch, but I know my job is a defender. “Defending comes first, but I do like to get forward and I hope this will be an enjoyable experience.” Furlong is the son of former Chelsea, QPR, Birmingham and Watford striker Paul, who is now on the coaching staff at the QPR academy. Furlong Snr was no stranger to the lower leagues himself, starting out at Enfield, and then winding down his career at the likes of Southend United, Barnet and Kettering Town. So has he offered his son any words of wisdom as he prepares for the rough and tumble of Sky Bet League Two? “He has given me advice,” said Furlong Jnr. “And that is to just go out and play my normal game, and try to do my best.”

From hereisthecity www.hitc.com/en-gb/2015/09/14/should-qpr-consider-signing-tottenhams-milos-veljkovic-on-loan/?Should QPR consider signing Tottenham’s Milos Veljkovic on loan?Billy Hawkins @bhawkinsss 4 hours ago Tottenham youngster Veljkovic would be a perfect signing for QPR. QPR have started this season in solid, if uninspiring form, but there are areas in their team that still need work. Chris Ramsey completed a wealth of transfer business over the summer, and his new look team possess a mixture of youth, experience and talent to impress in the Football League. However, there is still one problem position which has proven to be hard for QPR to solve, with Ramsey unable to find a top class pair of midfielders for the double-pivot role in his 4-2-3-1 system. Karl Henry looks to be the most consistent selection for the defensive player in the double-pivot, whilst Daniel Tozser - who made his debut on Saturday - is set to rotate with Tjaronn Chery and Alejandro Faurlin for the attacking role. Whilst the three creative players are all exceptional at Championship level, Henry has yet to properly impress in his role, and Ramsey should consider signing a player on loan to provide competition for the 32-year-old midfielder. And when searching for a loan player, Ramsey should look no further than his old club Tottenham Hotspur - and their young star Milos Veljkovic. Serbian youth international - and Under-21 World Cup winner - Veljkovic does not look to be part of Mauricio Pochettino’s first-team plans this season, and he needs to be playing competitive football to ensure his development continues. Staying with the Under-21 set-up would be a bad decision, and a drop to the Championship will allow the defensive midfielder to show himself off to Pochettino, with QPR the team perfect to his style of play. He would provide a far better defensive work rate than Henry currently does, and he is much more mobile than the ageing midfielder, who often looks static when play is being directed towards him. Veljkovic, 19, is also able to provide cover at central defence if needed, whilst he also offers a more direct threat if QPR are playing at home and Ramsey wishes to utilise just one holding player in a more offensive 4-3-3 system. He is an extremely technically gifted footballer, and has shown himself to be a strong creative threat when given space to run into, whilst not forgetting his primary duties are to shield the back-line. He is also young and energetic, two of the main hallmarks of the team Ramsey has created, and would likely be keen to link up with the man who coached him at Spurs’ academy. QPR need a new midfielder, and Veljkovic needs a loan spell in the Championship, and it appears as if the Serbian midfielder would be perfectly suited to the West London club.

Yep bowles here it is from sportwitness sportwitness.ning.com/forum/topics/midfielder-nearing-qpr-move-after-coach-expressed-concernsMidfielder nearing QPR move after coach expressed concernsPosted by SPORT WITNESS on September 21, 2015 at 18:28 in Sport Witness Football Queens Park Rangers are closing in on Lazio midfielder Ravel Morrison according to the Italian media The former Manchester United player continues to be snubbed by Lazio coach Stefano Pioli, and since joining the Serie A side earlier in the year he's only played 45 minutes for the club in competitive matches. According to TMW QPR are looking to sign Morrison when the transfer window reopens in the New Year, and they will be on alert after comments from Pioli. He revealed the player is sick at the moment which is why he missed yesterday's game, but he still believes the attacking midfielder needs to adapt to his new club. Morrison was ruled out of Lazio’s 5-0 defeat to Napoli at the weekend because of stomach ache, and his only appearance this season was the 45 minutes he played against Chievo last month. "He's sick, but he’s yet to fully adapt to the schemes,” said the Lazio coach when asked about the absence of the former West Ham United star for the Napoli game. Morrison had an impressive pre-season for Lazio, and he was one of the stand out players during the summer for the Italian club. However, the player picked up an injury just before the start of the Serie A season, and he’s being playing catch up ever since. We covered reports during the last transfer window that QPR were interested in Morrison, and it seems they are in a strong position to land him in January.

From espnfc www.espnfc.co.uk/story/2625116/schalke-target-qpr-winger-junior-hoilett-for-january-move?Schalke target QPR winger Junior Hoilett for January move - sourcesJunior Hoilett is not in QPR's plans this season. Queens Park Rangers winger Junior Hoilett is a target for German side Schalke in the January transfer window, sources have told ESPN FC. Hoilett, 25, is out of favour at Loftus Road and is in the final year of his contract at the Championship club. QPR are willing to offload the forward as they look to trim their wage bill following their relegation from the Premier League. The Canada international has started just 47 league matches since joining from Blackburn three years ago, and only featured in two Capital One Cup games this term. Schalke are now weighing up a move for Hoilett in the New Year with the attacker highly-regarded in Germany after spells on loan at St Pauli and SC Paderborn while he waited to secure a work permit at Blackburn. Hoilett is not currently in Chris Ramsey's plans at QPR and sources told ESPN FC that the player is keen to win a move to Schalke to kick-start his career again.
