I like Morrison. He is basically a human hand grenade and sometimes I think leave well alone. But then after reading his comments on his previous spell which are positive I think why not, maybe a 12 month contract with the option of another 12 if things go well. If things turn sour at least we are not lumbered with a player we can not shift.

I would have preferred to see us take James Wilson on loan from Man Utd - instead he has gone to Brighton. Maybe Brighton will send Bobby Zamora back to us in January now they have Wilson!

If things turn sour at least we are not lumbered with a player we can not shift. Really talented but he's a nasty piece of work and almost certainly a really disruptive influence. I feel like, even with mitigating risk with a short-term contract, his broader negative impact on the dressing room may not be worth his talent. The alarm bells for me is that he's a relatively young player who got recently picked up by a top club in Serie A. If he's potentially looking at (I know it's only speculation) coming to a mid-table Championship club then that means better teams are not considering he is worth their time.

I mean if Lazio saw enough in him then it's a pretty good indication he's got ability but always a worry when no-one else is being linked with him. Tempting to take the risk though, can see where that comes from, but not worth it I feel.

Still would not be surprised if we signed him. It is QPR were talking about, where anything can happen.

The 24-year-old, who has also been linked with West Bromwich Albion, only has 18 months left on his current deal at Loftus Road and it is said to be unlikely that he will sign a new contract. According to The Sun, Newcastle are targeting the attacker, who has scored four times and registered two assists in 19 Championship games this season. Phillips, who has born in England but plays his international football for Scotland, joined the R's from Blackpool in the summer of 2013. Newcastle have only won two of their 14 Premier League games this season and pressure is said to be building on head coach Steve McClaren. Read more at: tr.im/ps1J2

Credit: PA New QPR boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink insists no one will "pinch" Charlie Austin in January. Striker Austin is expected to be a target for a host of Premier League clubs when the transfer window reopens, and his ÂŁ15million summer price tag will have dropped with just six months remaining on his contract. But the 26-year-old is understood to be happy to stay at Loftus Road and Hasselbaink has warned off any potential suitors. "You don't pinch. He's not going to be pinched," said the Dutchman. "I'm looking forward to working with Charlie, and I'm looking forward to working with everyone else as well."

From the Mirror www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/west-brom-plot-kerim-frei-7012485?West Brom plot Kerim Frei transfer if QPR hang onto long-term target Matt Phillips
22:30, 14 DEC 2015 BY DARREN WITCOOP Besikas' former Fulham forward is an alternative should new Hoops manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink refuse to sell the Scotland international West Brom will consider handing Kerim Frei a Premier League return if they miss out on QPRâs Matt ÂPhillips. Baggies boss Tony Pulis is keen to revive a ÂŁ7million deal to sign Scotland international Phillips next month. The move collapsed back in September, after Saido Berahino stayed put at the Hawthorns when he looked set to join Tottenham. Now Pulis fears Jimmy Floyd Hasselbainkâs arrival at Rangers could see the winger remain in the ÂChampionship for another transfer window. Besiktas are offering Frei to Premier League clubs, and he is seen as a possible alternative for West Brom. Pulis is desperate to inject some pace into his side and Freiâs name will be discussed for a loan deal. Frei, 22, has top-flight experience with Fulham before he headed home to his native Turkey two years ago. Newcastle and Norwich are also interested in Frei, who is available having been frozen out at the Istanbul club.

The Ibrox club had hoped to tie up Windass and team-mate Matt Crooks on pre-contract agreements in the coming weeks. Assistant manager David Weir has been regularly attending Accrington games to watch Windass, the 20-year-old son of former Aberdeen star Dean, and defensive midfielder Crooks. Rangers will try and beat Brentford and QPR to the signature of Accrington Stanley striker Josh Windass +2 Rangers will try and beat Brentford and QPR to the signature of Accrington Stanley striker Josh Windass Despite the reluctance of the Lancashire club to sell in January, the Championship leaders can sign up both players when they enter the final six months of their contract. However, Windass now looks less certain to head to Ibrox, with Brentford and QPR keen to hijack the deal. Where I live in the Midlands are several Stoke fans who reckon than Odemwingie could be up for a loan in January. He hasn't had a chance in the Stoke team since coming back from injury (4 subs appearances).
I know we had our fun with him on transfer deadline but he has scored some goals over the years and could be a useful back up for 6 months.

From Bucks Free Press www.bucksfreepress.co.uk/sport/football/14148344.Ainsworth_keen_to_extend_Harriman_stay_beyond_January/?Gareth Ainsworth wants Michael Harriman to extend loan deal from QPRHarriman tops Wycombe's scoring charts with six this seaon Harry Gray / 1 hour ago / Wanderers Blues boss Gareth Ainsworth is hoping the club can extend Michael Harrimanâs loan deal from QPR beyond the end of January. The winger has been in fine form of late and tops the clubâs goal scoring charts with six goals, three of which have come in the last four matches. He is expected to return to Loftus Road at the end of next month but Ainsworth confirmed he will do everything he can to keep him at the club. âMichael is real big part of what we do here and is a real good player and I always say that I will try and keep my best players here as long as I can,â he explained. âHe is a multi-positional player and learning how to score, he got one with his head today which is great for Harri. âYou always want to keep your best players and Michael is an integral part of the team and has become the player I thought he would on the wing.â Harrimanâs strike on Tuesday night was greeted with incessant chants of his name and the Adams Park crowd have clearly taken to the 23-year-old. It is a feeling that Ainsworth believes is mutual and feels it may be an essential ingredient in competing for his services against bigger clubs in January. Ainsworth said: âI am really pleased with the way he has taken to the club and he loves it here which is important. âAs I say I want to keep him. We are in a food chain though and are quite low down that food chain so we will have to wait and see what happens.â

From hereisthecity www.hitc.com/en-gb/2015/12/16/should-jimmy-floyd-hasselbaink-bring-former-wonderkid-john-bosto/?Should Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink bring former wonderkid John Bostock to QPR?
Mathew Nash @hitcmathewnash 3 hours ago The pair worked together at Royal Antwerp. Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is the new Queens Park Rangers manager and in the winter you can expect him to put his own touch on the team as they look to resurrect their promotion bid. He is likely to consider some of his former players from his time at Burton Albion but what about Royal Antwerp. Hasselbaink was manager at Antwerp for one season in 2013-14 before stepping down at the end of the season. One of his marquee signings at the club was that of English midfielder John Bostock. The former England Under-19 international got his career back on track in Antwerp before leaving for rivals OH Leuven in 2014. He has since helped his new side to promotion to Belgium's top tier and is rebuilding his once damaged reputation. Bostock made his debut for Crystal Palace aged 15 and from there he became the world's most wanted youngster. Barcelona, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea were all linked with the player. In the end it was Tottenham Hotspur who managed to tie him down in what was a controversial transfer deal back in 2008 but he never made the grade at the club. Nowadays however he is back in form and perhaps Jimmy Floyd could be the man to persuade him back to the UK with a move to QPR. This campaign Bostock has played 15 times for the club and scored three goals and is certainly back to a stage where he can play in the UK again. QPR would be snapping up a man with immense talent if they could pry him away from his new home. But given the fact he and Hasselbaink have history, perhaps it is a deal that could happen.

I'd be very surprised if we did any such multi-million pound signings Agreed. This from the Hull Daily Mail: ÂŁ4.25m for a player who can't even get into the Hull side and who's out of contract at the end of the season? If we're after a creative midfielder (presumably with the prospect of Fer and Sandro on the move in January) there's an argument to be made for Ravel Morrison, who could be available for a quarter of that and will still have decent (increased?) resale value in 3 or 4 years time.

Hull might be biting our arms off in some respects. Perhaps we could toss in Green & Traore plus 4 million in cash to sweeten the deal.

I'd guess that that is pure speculation based on a previous article. While I've no idea if he is actually good enough, I'd love to see him return at the end of his loan spell and get some matches ahead of Perch.
