From the Evening Standard. Not really a surprise. Now will anyone want him? A desperate Prem team? www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/qpr-transfer-news-sandro-wants-to-leave-loftus-road-in-january-a3104811.html?QPR transfer news: Sandro wants to leave Loftus Road in JanuarySIMON JOHNSON 3 hours ago0 comments Sandro hopes to leave QPR when the transfer window opens in January. Standard Sport understands the Brazil midielder is not happy at QPR and wants to join a Premier League club. QPR are also keen to cash in on the 26‑year‑old, who has struggled to make an impact since joining from Tottenham for £10million in September last year. Sandro, one of the club’s highest earners on £50,000-a-week, has made just 20 appearances in 14 months and played only 176 minutes in the Championship this term. His lack of playing time is partly due to injuries suffered last season but also because of an embarrassing situation where it was discovered his work permit had not been renewed. Sandro had to wait until October to get his first game this season and has been left out of the side for the last two matches.

From flicwhiltshire www.flicwiltshire.com/ben-gladwin-loan-extension-confirmed/?Ben Gladwin loan extension confirmed10:54 / 03-11-2015 | STFC News | FLIC Editor Ben Gladwin’s loan stay at Swindon Town has been extended, but he will not be able to feature in Martin Ling’s first match in charge against Rochdale in the FA Cup on Saturday, writes Benjamin Wills. The Queens Park Rangers midfielder initially re-signed for Swindon on a 28-day emergency loan back on October 3rd, three months after joining the Championship side from Town for an undisclosed fee, along with Australian international Massimo Luongo. Gladwin has scored one goal in four games since his return, an 85th minute wonder goal which sparked a late comeback in the 2-2 draw at home to Coventry City two weeks ago. He has found playing time limited at the west London club and believes that being back in Wiltshire is his best bet of getting first-team football. Speaking last week, the 23-year-old said: “I’ve loved it,” Gladwin told BBC Wiltshire. “Every footballer just wants to play football. “I’d like to try and get my loan at Swindon extended. “QPR are flying at the minute and it comes down to them and what they want to do. “I’d like to continue playing football.” Although yet to be officially confirmed by either club, it is thought that Gladwin will now remain at SN1 until December. Gladwin will be unavailable for the trip to Spotland at the weekend due to QPR not wanting him cup-tied for later rounds.

Ben Gladwin: QPR player to remain at Swindon on loan
Swindon chairman Lee Power has confirmed Ben Gladwin will remain with the club until the end of the season.Speaking on BBC Wiltshire's fans phone-in, Power said parent-club QPR had a 24-hour recall clause in the deal for the 23-year-old former Robins player. Gladwin has made eight appearances for League One club Swindon this season. "We're well pleased, said Power. "He's come back and everyone can see the quality he brings and every game he is getting stronger and stronger." Gladwin spent two seasons at the club from 2013 before sealing a summer move to Loftus Road. Meanwhile, Swindon are expected to complete a deal to buy the Twelve Oaks golf course in Highworth on Wednesday in order to turn it into a new purpose-built training facility. "We are going to exchange on that on Wednesday, which is a massive plus," said Power. "It'll probably be the biggest thing to happen to the football club in many years to have a first-class training facility. It's really good news. "We've looked everywhere and we're delighted." Power confirmed that discussions were ongoing with Swindon Borough Council about the future of the club's County Ground home. www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/34720044

The 26-year old forward, selected by England earlier this year, has seen himself linked with a raft of Premier League teams – particularly North East rivals Newcastle and Sunderland. After 18 goals in the top tier last term, Austin is expected to leave Loftus Road when his contract expires at the end of the season. However, Ramsey has revealed a move could come sooner, with the January transfer window looming just over a month down the line. ‘Although he said he’s going to stay, football’s a funny game and thing happen’, revealed Ramsey, who was dismissed after the recent 1-0 reversal away at Derby County. The former Burnley man has netted 7 times in 11 appearances so far this season, though the R’s have struggled to challenge for an immediate return to the Premier League. He was heavily linked with a summer switch to Newcastle, though a £15m valuation is thought to have deterred the Magpies. Interesting article from London 24 www.london24.com/sport/football/the_five_premier_league_stars_ready_for_championship_loan_moves_1_4315692The five Premier League stars ready for Championship loan moves11:49 18 November 2015 Pete Evans With the loan window set to slam shut on November 25, our Championship clubs have just a week to do their business. But which London Premier League players are likely to be targeted? Fraizer Campbell, Crystal PalaceThe return to full fitness of Connor Wickham has nudged the former Cardiff man further down the pecking order at Selhurst Park. He has started just one Premier League game and made three appearances off the bench and looks the most likely of Palace’s attackers to head down a division. Dan Crowley, ArsenalThe English midfielder, back with the Gunners following a loan spell with Barnsley, reminded everyone of his talent with a memorable solo goal for his nation’s Under-19s on the weekend. Crowley made 13 appearances for Barnsley in League One and a Championship move looks the next step for the 18-year-old. Ruben Loftus-Cheek, ChelseaThere have been rumours throughout this international break that the talented English midfielder is searching for a loan move and regular first-team football. The Times reported a string of Championship sides are monitoring the 19-year-old after he failed to build on a start against Aston Villa in mid-October. He was withdrawn at the break and hasn’t featured since. Reece Oxford, West HamAnother English youngster in our list, Oxford burst onto the scene with that memorable display in the opening day win over Arsenal and then featured in two more games. He has been away from the first-team picture since as Hammers boss Slaven Bilic takes precautions with the 16-year-old but could he be tempted to loan the youngster to a Championship side? Harry Winks, TottenhamThe 19-year-old was heavily linked with a loan move north to join Rangers in the summer and has since made his second appearance for Spurs as a substitute against FK Qarabag. With plenty of midfielders impressing ahead of him in the pecking order a temporary move looks logical.

From the Evening Standard. Stating the bleeding obvious IMO! www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/qpr-transfer-news-charlie-austin-doesnt-want-to-join-premier-league-strugglers-a3118711.htmlQPR transfer news: Charlie Austin doesn't want to join Premier League strugglers simon johnson 7 minutes ago Charlie Austin will take some convincing to leave QPR for a Premier League club battling against relegation in January. The striker is already being targeted by a number of teams in the top flight, including Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Sunderland, Newcastle and West Brom. But four of those clubs make up the bottom four, while West Brom are only six points above the drop zone. Standard Sport understands Austin doesn’t want to run the risk of joining a side in the new year that could get relegated four months later. Austin’s contract runs out at the end of the season and so will be able to leave on a free transfer if Rangers don’t cash in during the next transfer window. That means the 26-year-old is in no rush to pick his next destination and is believed to harbour ambitions of joining a club in the top half of the table that can compete for honours and a European place. Earlier this month, Austin gave a strong indication he will see out the rest of the campaign at QPR. He told TalkSPORT: “If something comes up in January that’s right for myself and my family then I’ll assess the situation with my agent then. “However, if not, I will be happy to stay with QPR and play in any position they ask me to play. I’ve said before, I’m loyal to QPR and I’m going to stay until the end of the season and aim to get them promoted, because that’s what I started out to do.” QPR haven’t ruled out trying to sell Austin in the next window even if they have a chance of winning promotion from the Championship this term. He is now valued at around £8million, which means his value has almost halved since they demanded £15m for his signature last summer. But the club are having to consider offloading some of the first-team squad to ease their financial situation. Austin has scored 45 goals in just 85 appearances since joining from Burnley for £4m in 2013, 18 of which came in the Premier League last term.

He walks into a top half of the table Prem team in the summer, no transfer fee to pay so nice wages and signing on fee to boot (pun not intended). Or, he goes to West Brom as a stepping stone. They won't go down under Pulis so he'll be safe there. Charlie would do well at WBA, Palace or West Ham and all 3 of those teams could genuinely use him next season as he's better than the strikers they have at present (I'd take Austin over Berahino who I think is overrated and will probably be sold). Those are 3 solid Prem teams in no danger of being relegated anytime soon. He'd be mad to go to Villa, Bournemouth or Sunderland in January, all 3 of them look like they'll be joining us in the Championship next season.

Clear now that Redknapp knew what he was doing not playing the kids. Not good enough for the Championship let alone the Premier League. Ramsey told TF what he wanted to hear about our 'youth' players but the fact is that he couldn't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear on this occasion. They're not good enough even for this level, so they may as well go out and get experience at a level of football they're capable of playing in.

I think it gives Kpekawa a month's competitive football and we'll have him back for assessment before the January window, when I imagine we might make a decision to either strengthen or stick with what we have.

Boss Tony Pulis wanted the 24-year-old in the summer and had a deal ready to put in place if Tottenham had met Albion’s asking price for striker Saido Berahino. That fell through when Baggies chairman Jeremy Peace and his Spurs counterpart Daniel Levy fell out over the payment terms for the highly-rated England Under-21 striker, meaning Phillips was left at Loftus Road. Phillips, who joined QPR from Blackpool in 2013, has 18 months left on his contract. Albion have been monitoring the Scottish international’s performances and have been impressed with his attitude, knuckling down as one of only three Rangers players who have not missed a single Championship game. Pulis has insisted West Brom must be willing to strengthen the squad again in January if he is to keep them clear of the Premier League drop zone.

From getwestlondon www.getwestlondon.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/qpr-ready-sell-charlie-austin-10480203QPR ready to sell Charlie Austin - if they find his replacement, says chief executive 08:00, 22 Nov 2015 By Paul Warburton It all depends on next month for striker sale QPR admit finding the right man to replace Charlie Austin could herald the £15m forward’s departure in January. Hoops are headed towards decision time if they are to recoup anything for the hitman who will walk away for nothing at the end of the season. Austin missed out on Friday's heartbreak against Middlesbrough with a minor calf strain, but is expected back to face Leeds in a sell-out crowd at Loftus Road on Saturday. Lee Hoos and the rest of he Rs board reckon a new face replacing the man bought from Burnley for £4m two years ago would make any permanent absence easier. Loftus Lee: new Rangers CEO Lee Hoos pic: @qprfc The chief executive said: “My whole career has been built on risk management. “The risk is can we replace Charlie with that amount of money? Then it’s worth taking the shot. “It’s not a case of, ‘oh if we don’t sell this player, we’re stuffed.’ It’s a football versus finance decision. “At the time, we’ll weigh up the possibilities and the probabilities of promotion, and then come out with a logical decision.” Austin has been linked with half the Premier League since it became clear he was up for grabs in the summer. However, despite interest from Newcastle, West Ham, Crystal Palace, Everton - and more recently Aston Villa, none have made a firm bid at the asking price. Austin has said he is willing to bide his time at Loftus Road, and should there be a miraculous return to form that propels Rs into the top six over the next month, all transfer bets are off.

From the Offie DARNELL FURLONG: I'VE LEARNED A LOTPUBLISHED 10:00 22nd November 2015 by @qprfc QPR defender Darnell Furlong pleased to be back in W12 after ‘enjoyable’ loan spell … Darnell Furlong back at QPR after returning from loan at Northampton Town Young right-back enjoyed successful spell in League Two 20 year-old made his Under-21s return in Friday’s 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town YOUNG R’s defender Darnell Furlong admits his recent spell with Northampton Town was just ‘what he needed’ as he continues his development at Loftus Road. The right-back returned to W12 last week after making 11 appearances for the Cobblers during what was a hugely successful first taste of Football League experience away from west London. “It’s nice to be back,” he told www.qpr.co.uk. “It [the loan] was good. I think it was what I needed, games and experience. Now I know what to expect and I’ve learned a lot about playing for points, and not just about development. It’s about holding out for wins and climbing up the table. “It’s a lot more physical and a lot more competitive.” Furlong enjoyed wins in six of the 10 league games he played in League Two – tasting defeat just once – in a run which saw the Cobblers climb into the automatic promotion spots. “I just tried to do my best and managed to do well in the games I played in,” he added. “I really enjoyed it.” Furlong’s return saw him feature from the start for the Under-21s in Friday’s 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town at Loftus Road. Now back at Rangers, the 20 year-old is keen to build on his recent exploits but knows he’ll have to keep improving if he’s to realistically challenge for a spot in the First Team. “I just need to try my best,” he said. “If something comes of it, then great, but I just want to keep improving my game. “The main goal is to stake a claim but I know it’s going to be difficult. The Championship’s a very hard league. “I’ll work as hard as possible and see what comes my way.” Read more at www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/darnell-furlong-qpr-northampton-town-loan-loftus-road-2810884.aspx#BAuWCqrJX9SJRALz.99

From Sports Witness sportwitness.ning.com/forum/topics/qpr-official-spies-arsenal-youngster-january-deal-possibilityQPR official spies Arsenal youngster, January deal possibility Posted by SPORT WITNESS on November 22, 2015 at 11:09 in Sport Witness Football Queens Park Rangers sent a scout to watch the game between Arsenal U21s and Stoke City U21s on Friday night. With the transfer window set to reopen in January, the Championship side could be looking at the possibility of bringing in players on loan to help their promotion bid back to the Premier League. The loan window is also still open until Wednesday for last minute emergencies. Scouts in Attendance have confirmed QPR attended the game on Friday night, and they were joined by Reading and Sheffield United. The likelihood of QPR’s trip was to monitor Arsenal forward Alex Iwobi who may need to go out on loan in the New Year to get first team experience. The 19 year old has hardly figured for Arsene Wenger’s side in this campaign, and therefore senior football at this stage of his career could be beneficial to the player rather than playing U21 games. Iwobi came through the Arsenal youth system after joining their academy in 2004. The youngster has made just one appearance for the Arsenal first team, which came this season in the away victory over Swansea City last month. Despite his lack of first team opportunities Iwobi has already played twice for the Nigeria national team after making his debut this year.

Reports in his home country suggest Fer, an £8million signing from Norwich City in the summer of 2014, could move back to his first club, Feyenoord, on loan in January. Fer started his career with the Rotterdam side, coming through their ranks and making more than 100 appearances before arriving in England via a spell at FC Twente. In happier times: Fer celebrates a goal for QPR But any such move could depend on Feyenoord being able to move on fellow midfielder Tonny Vilhena during the transfer window. Fer, who has 11 Dutch international caps, was a regular for the Rs last season as they were relegated from the Premier League, but has been restricted to eight appearances this term. He was sent off late on in the 1-0 defeat at Middlesbrough on Friday night which saw the Rs slip to 15 in the Championship table, and will sit out this Saturday's home game against Leeds.

From the Offie LOAN RANGERS: BEN GLADWIN OFF INJURED IN SWINDON WINPUBLISHED 08:00 25th November 2015 by @qprfc QPR attacker substituted after 58 minutes for the Robins with knock … Midfielder Ben Gladwin limps off injured for Swindon Town Michael Harriman records a 1-0 win with Wycombe Wanderers Cole Kpekawa holds League Two leaders with Orient Dagenham Redbridge win as Jake Mulroney starts BEN Gladwin limped off after 58 minutes of Swindon Town’s 2-1 win against Walsall on Tuesday night. The QPR midfielder was replaced by Fabien Robert just before the hour mark at the County Ground. Town however went on to record victory as they climbed back out of the League One relegation zone. Meanwhile, Michael Harriman was back playing what has become a more familiar right-wing role this season for Wycombe Wanderers in their 1-0 win at Yeovil Town. Traditionally a right-back, ex-R’s favourite Gareth Ainsworth has deployed Harriman further forward this season and the Chairboys made it back-to-back victories thanks to Luke O’Nien’s 70th minute winner. Elsewhere, Leyton Orient and Cole Kpekawa helped League Two leaders Plymouth Argyle to a 1-1 draw at Home Park. Following on from his debut off the substitutes bench at the weekend, Kpekawa started for the O’s in Devon. Kpekawa played the full 90 minutes as Orient strengthened their play-off spot. Under-21s teammate Jake Mulraney helped Dagenham and Redbridge record a rare 1-0 win at AFC Wimbledon. The R’s winger started for the Daggers at the Kingsmeadow Stadium before being replaced by Andre Boucaud after 64 minutes. Former QPR striker Jamie Cureton scored an 80th minute winner as Dagenham moved out of the bottom two in League Two. Finally, Ben Pattie hit the post for Hendon in their 4-1 win against Cray Valley Paper Mills as he completed 90 minutes.
