Is there any doubt, after months and months of speculation on Defoe, that he'll be the one to do us in the end?

This bloke from the Guardian (who is apparently a Rangers season ticket holder) Michael Hann called QPR all "Hashtags and Hot Air".
I think that's as good a way as any to describe it.
Saying things out loud and tweeting them doesn't make for a plan.

What about Rösler? Young, no Premier League managerial experience but be played in the league. He probably deserves at least some credit for Brentford's success and he did pretty well at Wigan before that one bad run got him fired. He plays a fairly attractive style of football. No?

1.) Sit down with upper management and answer the question: What kind of club are we? What style do we want to play and as a consequence what kind of players do we want to recruit?
In the meantime...
2.) Find out what the situation is with Phillips and Hoilett. I suspect they were not being coached properly. 3.) While we wait for answers on that, move Zarate out to the left wing and Vargas to the right wing. Not their favored positions but we desperately need width and pace and they can cut into the middle of the field with both fullbacks providing outlets when they do so. Fer moves to his natural position in the center of the park with Sandro providing defensive cover until he gets injured again and is replaced by Henry. 4.) Austin up top obviously with Zamora and Niko splitting time as his partner. 5.) Back line of Isla, Caluker, Onuoha(Dunne) and Yun.

I bet Sunderland would give us Jozy Altidore on loan if we paid £5 of his salary.
Has he been awful beyond words? Yes. Is he physically a twin of Bobby Zamora? Yes, he is.
Maybe Bobby Z could coach him up? Teach how to hold the ball up, and be an effective target man as he has been for the U.S. National Team.
If you ask me that's one of the things missing from the club, You can blame Hoilett and Phillips and players like that, but it feels like someone on the coaching staff should be coaching them to be better, and I'm not sure that's happening. They clearly have pace and talent both of them (especially Hoilett who has been good other places) but they need to be taught no?

Not being based in the UK I didn't get to see a lot of games last year, how was Will Keane?
He's got good size, he's young and her certainly isn't seeing the light of day at United.

I said this in another thread as well but do we really want a guy (Zarate) who the first thing he does upon being loaned out is to rip his old manager? I'm interested in guys who work hard and keep their gobs shut and he doesn't seem that type.
Plus, I read somewhere that he is trying to switch nationality and play for Chile and Vargas (among others) is not happy about it. Is this really a good move for team spirit?

I worry about a guy who would slam his manager in the papers on the way out the door. I mean it's not like West Ham are propping up the table, Allardyce has barely put a foot wrong this season. I want players who keep their mouth shut and work hard not someone who is going to start running his gob when things don't go his way. Oh, and this article claims he and Vargas are not on good terms because Zarate is trying to switch allegiances and play for Chile internationally. This should do wonders for team spirit. hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2014/12/18/jorge-sampaoli-defends-mauro-zarate-despite-criticism-from-furio/

Anyone else find it creepy when Harry calls Eduardo Vargas "Little Boy"?
“The little boy Vargas looked a bit tired,”

I know I'll get stick for this but if we're interested in someone similar to BZ we could probably take a cheap flyer on Jozy Altidore. I know he's been awful for Sunderland but he is a man mountain and the kind of player that, in theory, takes a defender on his back and brings others into play.
He's never really gotten a proper run out at the Stadium of Light and as an added bonus the only team in the Premier League he plays remotely well against are the scum. He scored a goal against them last year, drew a penalty at Stamford Bridge to help his team earn a draw and even looked useful last weekend. They might even loan him to us as he's third in line behind Fletcher and Wickham.
Now, I welcome your scorn.

I work in sports media in America and so I've covered pretty much all the team sports and I've never encountered one like football where people are so obsessed with how a team plays 'away'. People act as if it's a completely different game, you have to play differently, start different players.
Swansea has a rectangular field with a goal at either end right? Is the ball the same size? Are the rules the same as when we play at LR?
