I've never really understood why being fouled in the box is treated the same no matter where in the box you are.
It's not like the player was through on goal. The most he was going to do was cross it. Never makes sense to me.

Oh good, another attacking midfielder. He can compete for time with the 9 other ones we have or we can play him out of position.

1-3
Can't see any route to us winning this. McClaren couldn't fire up a kettle let alone a football side, this side needs a man manager right now not more drills. One of our new signings will score giving us some tiny consolation.
McClaren will be gone by the international break.

The 26 or so players currently in our squad have outscored the 3 players we offloaded in the transfer window 7-6, so we're doing great!

It's simple maths..
Mid Table Midfield + Lower Mid Table Defense + League 1 Attack ______________________________
18-24 in the table if you're lucky
The good outfield players we have are midfielders capable of winning and keeping possession but lacking any creativity in getting it to the strikers who need all the help they can get. I'm told Freeman is our best player, and supposedly very creative, but I don't see it. I mean he may push into dangerous spaces now and again, but I don't see much happening after that. He certainly isn't a goal scorer himself.

Very kind here. Against 10 men, and a team that played the future Premier League Champs just days ago and we can’t get a single goal? Pretty pathetic. I’m sure we’ll be told we were unlucky. I’m worried the club thinks 6 points in January means no need to do any business other than shipping out dead wood while teams below us bring in players. Burton got Darren Bent on loan from Derby. I knows he’s the wrong side of 30, but still. Do we have anyone on our roster who has scored even 10% as many as he has at this level or above? I don't think it's that kind, I think it was a poor performance and said as much. You only need to go a few threads up to know that barely anyone actually thought we'd get a result here today. The fact that it's against 10 men for most of it is particularly poor and that's what is most disappointing. Don't really know what I've said here that's unduly positive other than that we created more chances in the second half. Which we literally did. Just find it a bit rich that most of this board, like most of the fans online, were talking in terms of expecting a lower midtable finish and would take that if it was offered. We play as much and it's greeted like it's a shock. We're just not that good at the moment. We'll have games like today where we're crap and we'll have games where we do something decent, but not many. I don't like it but I can't be arsed venting about it on here. Still, least it means we get to see more of PG which is a bonus innit. There are levels of disheartening play and losing 2-0 with an extra man is high in the list for me even if Bristol are a good side. Otherwise I agree. We have an upper middle table midfield, a lower mid table defense and a relegation zone attack years as pathetic as I’ve seen. All that adds up to 18-22 in the table.

Smith works the keeper at the end with a good header but it just peters out. Not a terrible result on paper considering where Bristol are in the table but a poor performance against 10 men in the end. Better in the second half and created more but never really got going. Good luck to us when we discard players who actually score goals because they lack the number one quality desired amongst aging British managers, they don’t “put themselves about”.
He was great in dead ball situations.

Point taken Marc but if we got 5 mil for Washington and 3 or 4 mil for say Sylla then the net effect would be 1 or 2 mil. That's not financial suicide. I think if we bundled up Washington, a bridge in an undisclosed location and a time share in Ibiza we might be able to crack a million quid. I’ll be happy to find a buyer for the bridge AND I’ll do the timeshare presentation, but Washington is on someone else, I’m not that good a salesman. We have an upper mid-table midfield and keeper, a lower mid-table back line and a relegation zone attack which all adds up to somewhere in the 18-22 range in the table.

Burton losing to Foolham 6-0, maybe the 2nd in our big two game win streak wasn’t so impressive.

What’s happening to Wheeler ? Apparently it's already been determined he's no good. GWL reporting he's on his way out which means nothing but for some reason WLS picked it up which makes me think it could be true. Scored on is debut and never heard from again. That's how we roll.

A great win for us today which sets up the scenario I thought might be in play when this FA Cup game rolled around.
Something good has happened. We've beaten a team near the top of the table, a promising youngster has scored the winner on his debut. So what do you do?
Sadly my guess is we'll see JET and Goss and all the other cast offs. We'll get done 3-1 or something and all that good feeling will be gone for a club that hasn't had much of it in recent years.
I know the arguments for resting players, league is more important and all that, but I just think for a club like QPR momentum and good vibes has real value and we're too willing to flush it down the toilet because it's just the cup.
We've got Burton in our next league game, an important game considering where we are in the table. Would like to go into the game riding a high, not sniping about a lackluster defeat to a team a league below us.
That's just me.

Can someone who has seen Eze play tell me what his natural position is?
Every time I see Wycombe’s formation they have him as a midfielder, but when I hear QPR supporters talk about him he seems like the answer to our derth or strikers. Is he really a striker or just a goal scoring midfielder?

Was there ever a doubt? Their tails are up now, we’ll be lucky to leave with a point. Heh. As always happy to be wrong, but this has not been a confidence inspiring season. How many more times do we play Birmingham away this season

Looks to me like Ollie is gonna ride Washington into the sunset and gardening leave.
I hope his patience and belief pays off but I'm not holding my breath.

How about this English bloke who’s coaching in Sweden, Graham Potter. Has ‘em in the Europa League and getting a lot of good pub.

Warnock is great but last I checked there's only one of him and he's at another club. On top of that he can't coach forever, there has to be someone else out there.
Maybe Ainsworth? But he's no different then Tisdale except that he hasn't been at it as long and he has QPR roots.
On the other hand if you hired him for next season you could bring him back with Eze who he will have had a whole season with, might know how to get the best out of him.

I actually think we should keep Ollie, at least until the end of the season. They play really hard for him but they just aren't good enough especially up front, and it's not like we ever get a new manager bounce. It would just make things worse in my opinion to sack him.
That said he is not a long term solution and so I would like to throw a suggestion out there and see what people think.
Paul Tisdale from Exeter.
He's been there for over 10 years now but he's only 44 so tons of experience, but still young. Only twice in those 11 years has he paid a transfer fee so he knows how to work with no budget which is key and he consistently has them punching above their weight. I've seen interviews with him and he seems like a smart, level headed guy. Exeter are in the playoffs spots right now but have begun to struggle after a strong start and it wouldn't surprise me if he was ready to move on. No matter how good or successful you are after a while it gets stale and it's time to move on.
Just a thought...discuss.

Where do Wycombe play him? Because every time I check up on him on this footie scores app I have they show him as a midfielder which makes me a little nervous as I feel like we are so loaded with midfield players, and what we really need is just an out and out striker.
I mean goals are goals, but just wondering.

Oh dear god it’s not like we signed him from the Combined Counties League or a local pub side. He was starting for a club ONE level below us. Why would you wrap him in cotton wool?
