19-year-old male. Last seen in Sunderland. Please call QPR Football Club with information on his whereabouts.
Maybe someone should check in Jamie Mackie's basement.

2-0 feels about right to me..Derby are better than we are especially with a defender subbed out at the half for a midfielder.
We have the cutting of a butter knife.

As long as he leaves Sylla on the bench..we wouldn't want to score or anything.

Am I the only one who feels like we get our shots blocked more than most. Even when we're in and around the box we rarely get a really clean shot on goal without someone getting a leg or foot on it. They'll be a nice build up and someone like Freeman will be the ball on the edge of the box and you start towards the edge of your seat and it feels like it just always gets blocked.

Wheeler up top? I have a bad feeling about this, but at least it's something new!

7 games with no win, 2 defeats and 5 draws...... I cant really get excited by that kind of form against those seven teams, 3 of them are the in bottom three(+ Burton favs for the drop) and we couldnt beat any of them. Now the tougher games start to come.. WDLWLW. DLDDLDD We dont have any given right to beat any team thats for sure but expected more points in those 7 fixtures. Luckily we had that good start. This is the thing really. We needed points from these games against the dregs of the league because the next 8 games are brutal. Wolves, Leeds, Villa, Forest (away), Derby all in there plus Brentford against whom I assume we will put in our customary local derby performance.

I think we’ll either lose by the current score line (maybe 2-0 on a late goal when we’ve hit the bar a few times and had all the possession) and be told how great we are and how they never stop working and fighting or if we’re lucky Smith will nod one in and we’ll get a draw, same narrative presented afterwards.

I don’t think you can have Sylla and Smith in if you want to play this pressing style.
When I watch it feels like the problem is no cutting edge but if you look at the table we have as many or more goals than two teams in the top 6 but we’ve given up too many for it to matter.

Maybe it was only 5-0 we lost to Newcastle this time last year.

Wycombe supporters with lots of praise for Eze who set up the winning goal in a win over Crewe yesterday.
Good to hear, but it seems they're playing him in midfield and I was really hoping he would develop into an out and out striker.
P.S. - Former R Michael Harriman scored a corker as well. Still only 24, playing as a right back.

Surely someone from our undefeated U23 squad will have to at least be on the bench.
Maybe that Giles Phillips guy that featured a few times in pre-season.
They should put Matt Smith back there, sort of the opposite of what Liverpool did with Caulker.

They're really aggressive and physical which is causing our midfield a few problems. Might take them a bit to get a handle on things.

0-1 after 7'
You couldn't make it up if you tried, they always follow the QPR script.
On a good run, team from the bottom end of the table come to LR and we give up an early goal.

I love Clint Hill and think he would be a great leader to have around, but do you think he could manage in a back three at his age?

8.) Great headlines when we draw, "EVEN Steven", "It's All EVEN" etc. Or when he breaks El Hadji Diouf's leg in a match "Hovland gets Even". Or helps keep three consecutive clean sheets - "Even Almighty". Or him celebrating scoring the winning goal on Boxing Day in the changing room after the game, getting a deep-tissue massage from the physio while eating a crunchy fried potato snack ... "Deep and Crisp and Even" Sorry, getting silly now... After a win under the lights "EVEN the nights are better." When he leaves the club" "EVEN out!" He could partner with American CB Stephen Keel (also out of contract) to make sure we stay on an "EVEN KEEL"

My vote is we sign this Norwegian lad named Even Hovland. Proper centre back. www.transfermarkt.co.uk/even-hovland/profil/spieler/418751.) He's only 28 2.) 23 appearances for the Norwegian NT. 3.) Big lad, 6'3" 4.) Likely speaks great English and will make transition to UK easily 5.) Read that he is interested in moving abroad 6.) Played three seasons in Bundesliga 2, probably not far off the Championship in terms of level of play and wages. 7.) I've always been under the impression that QPR are quite popular in Norway for some reason, is that true? 8.) Great headlines when we draw, "EVEN Steven", "It's All EVEN" etc.

It feels to me like we've just been priced out of the Striker market. Unless it's someone on the other side of 30 like Danny Graham you're just not going to get a reliable goal scorer, and as a result we're loading up on attacking midfielders who maybe come a bit cheaper? Just a thought. Makes defence more important! If we score less we have to let in less which is why if honest I thought we would be in a relegation fight this season. I'm very happy to be proven wrong but will put my hand up to being one of the supporters not looking forward to this season. Hoped defence would be looked at more. Spurs loaned Cameron Carter-Vickers to Sheffield United. I would have had a bit of that. CB who has experience playing in a 3-5-2. Guess our Spurs pipeline let us down on that one.

QPR agree deal to sign David Wheeler from Exeter By Sky Sports News Last Updated: 29/08/17 5:40pm QPR are closing in on the signing of winger David Wheeler (right) QPR are closing in on the signing of winger David Wheeler (right) QPR have agreed an undisclosed fee with Exeter to sign winger David Wheeler, according to Sky sources. Sky Sports News understands the 26-year-old will undergo a medical at Loftus Road on Wednesday ahead of signing a three-year deal with the Sky Bet Championship side. Wheeler scored 21 goals in all competitions last season as Exeter reached the League Two play-off final at Wembley, where they were defeated 2-1 by Blackpool. If all being well, Wheeler will become manager Ian Holloway's fifth signing of the summer. Alex Baptiste, Josh Scowen, Kazenga LuaLua and Paul Smyth have all arrived at the west London club during this transfer window. www.skysports.com/football/news/11711/11011724/qpr-agree-deal-to-sign-david-wheeler-from-exeterBeen on the Exeter City message boards and the fans rate him, though he apparently is injury prone and suffers from Asthma. I'm sure it can be managed, but with our luck and current injury situation it's a worry. Also, Yeni seems set to stay and I worry that we are again missing the mark in terms of the position. He's a winger and we need front men, goal scorers.

I ranted on another thread and I'm sorry, but I just need to vent.
When you're a club like QPR that has suffered through years of relegation, financial threat and just general bad feelings and you get some positive momentum you should be hanging on to it like grim death. You have to treat EVERY game like it's important. League, Cup, U23, Tiger Cubs it doesn't matter. You need people feeling good and getting in a winning mindset, otherwise you're never going to shake that losing malaise.
So we have a really great start to the league season with wins over good teams you would expect to finish in the money this year in Reading and Hull. Everyone's feeling good, we have a little bounce in our step and instead of putting out a strong team in what amounts to a derby game we make 10 changes and get our ar*$s handed to us. On Saturday we've got Cardiff away a game, to be fair, you expect to struggle to take points from. THEN WE HAVE TWO WEEKS OFF!!!!!!! After that it's Ipswich who are also undefeated so that's very possibly 3 loses on the spin and all that momentum right down the toilet.
If it were me I would have sat Mackie, because he's older and critical to the style of football we're playing right now, and maybe a few others but kept one of Scowen or Freeman and a good part of the defense so that there is some continuity and we don't get destroyed like, oh I don't know, 4-1.

Make that 3-nil and there goes all of the good momentum from the start of the league season because these games are just not taken seriously and we make 10 changes.
When you are a club like QPR that has suffered through season after season of relegation and upheaval and struggle there is nothing more critical then momentum and just any kind of general good feeling around the club should be guarded like Fort Knox.
EVERY GAME. Every pre-season game, every cup game, every U23 game, and of course every league game is important in changing the attitude and feeling around the club.
Now we get done by our near rivals 5-nil or something, were probably going to lose to Cardiff away anyway and **POOF** there's your good feeling down the toilet.

I stand happily corrected.
I think Sylla and Smith could be effective as subs in this system, taking advantage of tired defenses, but for my $$ Mackie is the key and we need options if he gets hurt which I'm betting he will at some point.
Another tireless runner who just never stops and keeps opponents on their heels. Sylla and Smith have their strengths but that's not one of them.

One goal deficit is a little steep for this side.
Decent between the boxes, but absolutely nothing to offer in the final third.

It seems like there's one player on every cup game team sheet that you've never heard of and has a surname that's a bit different.
This week it's Elias Chair Moroccan/Belgian midfielder. That should make the Adel worshipers day.
Video below, looks promising if undersized.
