Should be the usual lighthearted banter and jollity between rival fans tonight! Wonder if, after the generally decent start against teams higher in the league, we'll get over-confident (complacent?) against 19th place Millwall. It would be what QPR teams have done in recent years... From the offie... As you can see by the pic, some of the Millwall fans are making their way to the ground already...

Not sure why I can't embed tweets but it's an unchanged starting XI with Sylla replacing the winger from Blackpool (forgotten his name) on the bench.
Gotta be happy with that.

0-1 after 7'
You couldn't make it up if you tried, they always follow the QPR script.
On a good run, team from the bottom end of the table come to LR and we give up an early goal.

Nah, they scored too early, we'll get back into it (won't we... ). They need to act on Ollie's pre-match words...

They're really aggressive and physical which is causing our midfield a few problems. Might take them a bit to get a handle on things.

Brilliant comeback and Freeman hit the bar right at the end.
I think we've got the makings of a very special team slowly building here. Defensive performance needs to improve but this is a team I actually like now, as opposed to previous versions that were filled with utterly unlikable players.

Glad we got the point, but let's be for real: 28 attempts, 14 on target. Hitting woodwork, shots right at their goalie time and time again, missing left, right,over..... it has got to end!!! We should have had 5 plus the other day and more than that today.
A point is a point, though.

Earlier on this season I'd have said there was no way this team comes back from 2 down but they're fighters and its great to see.

Match stats per BBC, we had 28 shots, 14 on target, 2 goals. Hitting tte post/ bar does not count as "on target" - just stats but watch if it becomes a trend. Good "comeback" point but feel disappointed at 2 dropped. Good news is that Boros danger man should be suspended for Saturday. Onwards and upwards if we have enough defenders fit for the weekend. Re "feels like 2 points dropped". Milwall have a very direct and physical style which was always going to cause us problems. Midweek London derby too, which is never easy. Its a point gained and one more closer to safety. I'm happy enough with that.

It's a shame but Ollie has put us in such a positive position it is easy to accept the odd blip.

Could we have won? Yes
should we have won? Possibly
Did we deserve to win? IMO No.
We were very much second best in the first half & after they scored their second goal, it was very hard to see us scoring. However after the Luongo strike the pressure was relentless. Half time did seem a little early to me for us to go all gung ho, but it often appeared that we had changed to a defense of two! I defy any formation analyst to name our's for the last twenty minutes! My guess would be 2-4-4. Flexible being the operative word!
One think that last night was would be entertaining!

Perfectly put terryb. A thoroughly pulsating London derby in the rain, under the floodlights the atmosphere getting back to its brilliant best. Good Value for Money.

Hey Dan if you think that was bad in the recent Australia vs Thailand World Cup qualifying game that Australia won 2-1, Australia had 45 attempts with 13 on target and Thailand 8 attempts with 1 on target!

From the BBC www.bbc.com/sport/football/41255775Neil Harris: Millwall manager says Lee Gregory's red card was a 'poor decision'11 minutes ago From the section Football Millwall manager Neil Harris says Lee Gregory's red card against QPR was a "poor decision" and will appeal. The forward was sent off in the first half as Millwall drew 2-2 at Loftus Road on Tuesday after being 2-0 up. Harris told BBC Radio London: "It was a really, really poor decision. Having seen it back, it is not a red card. "I could go with a foul and even a yellow card, but to be a red card it has to be serious foul play. It has to be dangerous, but it is not at all." Conor McLaughlin gave Millwall the lead within six minutes before Gregory was shown a straight red card by referee Roger East for a tackle on Josh Scowen four minutes before the break. Jed Wallace gave the Lions a two-goal lead after half-time, but QPR scored twice in the last 17 minutes to steal a point. The Millwall boss revealed both sides were stunned by the dismissal and Millwall plan to appeal. "I think everyone in the ground was surprised to see a red brandished," continued Harris. "My first thought is we will appeal it. "The player reaction is always the key one. Their (QPR) reaction in the dressing room is they can't believe it was a red card. "Our players who were close to it questioned whether it was even a foul."

The team has certainly got more resolve than some of the supporters I do not know if that comment was aimed at fans at the game or posters on here. I cannot speak for those at the game although can I imagine some who had given up hope and turned on the team when we went 2-0 down. However as a poster I am pleased with the start we have made and the signs that we have maybe turned the corner after a number of seasons of abnormal behaviour by the club, and of fans being put through the mill by results as well events off the pitch.
Having said that should we rest on our laurels and say everything in the garden is rosy, or should we comment on areas where we feel the team can improve? Should we not comment on areas that may worry or concern us. For example our injury situation in defence is still a worry. The fact that we are creating so many chances is very good news, the fact that we are not taking a higher percentage may be a concern if it becomes a trend that costs us points. valid discussion points in my opinion.
Acknowledging that, at this early stage of the season, we have made some progress is the right thing to do , wanting that to continue and to see the club and team continue to improve is also the right thing to do. That is not a lack of resolve but is in fact the contrary.
It is aimed at anyone who starts to wilt or run up the white flag as soon as we suffer a set back, those who lack the understanding or respect for the progress that has been made. Holloway may not be a tactical genius, although he is undoubtedly more astute than some give him credit for, and our team is still a long way from being the finished article, but he is building it the way he said - with characters. There is no lack of guts and endeavour on the field - this is not the same old QPR.
