Another cup game another defeat, something we are used to I guess. Portsmouth need to pay us a bonus as a home time against Southampton in the next round is a big money spinner for the Club and truly the magic of the cup working again.
We looked disjointed but given the team I guess to be expected. I hate these numbers and names on the shirts as it makes it almost impossible to read from the back of the SAR, get them sorted Rangers in a different and more contrasting colour please!
We have no edge joining forward and once Chair went off the writing was probably on the wall. Given Pompley are a league lower and who knows if they played their first team there was no differencein class. We were both pretty inept going forward and so were they, They bossed in midfield, certainly in the second half and on the state of play they deserved to win.
The big German looked pretty composed but so he should but the Frenchman looks a liability and I'm not sure we are good enough for all the build up play from the back.
Cup over, forget about it and move on.

But Lone, you don't work in the football bubble where £200k is seen as pocket change and Pogba gets £3.5 million loyalty bonus at Man U.
Complete madness

It is football today that is dominated by the Abba song, Money, money, money.
The big and rich clubs bankrolled by incredibly wealthy owners/corporations maybe even governments throw money into the game but only in reality to a very few clubs.
When there are clubs such as Bolton Wanderers potentially folding yet the rescue package works out probably less than Vincent Kompany's bonus, there has to be something fundamentally wrong.
Still whilst we pay our £100 a month to Sky, buy our season tickets and pay £150 to go Wembley it will continue. Speaking to a Spurs fan yesterday, £1500 to go to Madrid...... plane, one night 3 star hotel.
Teams like ours tried to compete but due to incompetence at the highest level spent the best part of £750 million to be in 18th position in the second tier of English football.
The dreams for teams like Huddersfield just last a few short years before the financial reality means that relegation turns the dream into a nightmare.
Fulham spent £100 million and were relegated long before the end of the season.
We all on this board love football and love our team it is just a shame that money is sucking at the soul of the game.

When I posted Ainsworth was 1/2 on to be manager.
Common sense and football tend not to live well together!

Got to be honest, I didn't really believe my mate at first as I know that as soon as the Brentford vacancy came up earlier in the year that GA was on the phone to Brentford asking to be considered!
I will see him later this week and will try to get some further insights as it does appear to be a strange decision.

Looks as if my source was bang on and Ainsworth turned us down.
I personally find this staggering given where he is at Wycombe and I assume a desire to manage at a higher level.
Perhaps it shows that whoever comes in doesn't call all the tunes that a football manager should.
Good luck to Warburton if that's the choice. He did a good job at Brentford so why not here?

As soon as I post this no doubt he will be revealed as the new QPR manager but I've just heard that Ainsworth actually turned the job down yesterday.

From the first minute we weren't at the races. I'm so glad that Swansea never turned up last week so this game was really a stroll in the afternoon sunshine. Or was it?
Blackburn were at least 3 goals better than us, to only have scored once in the first half was wasteful and they should have wrapped it up in the first half although it did only take a minute or so in the second half to take the points north.
No one came out of the game with credit, defensively we were pulled all over the place, especially Scowen in the second half. The midfield never dominated and seemed bereft of ideas going forward and as for the forward play.....well there really wasn't any to speak of.
There was a fair crowd in the Shepherds Bush sunshine but there was very little to inspire confidence that there will be anymore points for us this season.

Alas the is a huge disconnect between the money earned by footballers and us mere mortals.
I bet that if you were in the pub and were discussing what you earned doing your job then the last thing you'd do is say what you earned a week.
I don't know why football seems the only profession that speaks this way. IF Wells is on £45k per week then in my terminology this is £2.34 million per year.
Assume the average cost of a ticket at Loftus Road is £30 and the average gate is 12,500.......his salary costs relate to 6.25 games of turnstile revenue.
This is complete and utter madness.

I thought that Brexit was a farce but the more you look at the stewardship of TF he must surely be in line for taking over from Theresa May when she resigns.
We then appoint Theresa May as our manager knowing she'll sort out the defence via an Irish defensive backstop and despite all common sense will play the same players week in week out even though she'll get defeated.
You heard it here first
"Theresa, Theresa give us a wave, Theresa give us a wave"
"You should have seen us coming All the lads and lasses with smiles upon their faces Coming down to Loftus Road to see Theresa's Rangers"
