From the first minute we weren't at the races. I'm so glad that Swansea never turned up last week so this game was really a stroll in the afternoon sunshine. Or was it?
Blackburn were at least 3 goals better than us, to only have scored once in the first half was wasteful and they should have wrapped it up in the first half although it did only take a minute or so in the second half to take the points north.
No one came out of the game with credit, defensively we were pulled all over the place, especially Scowen in the second half. The midfield never dominated and seemed bereft of ideas going forward and as for the forward play.....well there really wasn't any to speak of.
There was a fair crowd in the Shepherds Bush sunshine but there was very little to inspire confidence that there will be anymore points for us this season.

We were playing a very unusual back 4 of Wszollek, Furlong, Lynch and Manning. We were playing against old campaigner Dannny Graham who held the ball up well and Bradley Dack who was very effective. Graham also worked the ref throughout. We had as many good chances as Blackburn and in Bright we had a player who really frightened them. Shame his finishing is not quite there yet and his decision making can be questionable, but he is young and can improve. I thought that Furlong and Luongo both had good games. Lynch did not have the poor game i was expecting. I was waiting for his red card or injury for an early Summer finish. Cousins injury looked bad - he was having one of his poorer games, but it is very sad to see that happen. Doubt we will see him again this season and possibly not again in a QPR shirt. Timing of goals was crucial. The second straight after half time hit us hard. Then it was about game management in very hot weather. Our goal was just too late. Although Freeman put in a good cross for our goal, I thought that he was not his usual self and pulled out of tackles that he would normally make. We could have got something out of it with a bit of momentum, but Blackburn deserved the win.

Are we sure we will stay up? Harles, give us the data, Pleasant Easter mate. Well, I'm not harles but basically, we'd have to lose our last 3 and Rotherham would have to win theirs. Whilst the former is a distinct possibility, the latter is extremely unlikely. And then there are Millwall, Reading, Birmingham & Wigan who are all below us in the table.

Goal difference means we only need one point from three matches regardless of what Rotheram do. If we don't get it then we deserve to be relegated though it's very unlikely.

We could have got something out of it with a bit of momentum, but Blackburn deserved the win. Not much to add on that, sounds right to me. Don't think we were the level of awful we saw against Rotherham n Bolton but wasn't great either. The timing of the goals couldn't have been much worse. Agree that Mass had a good game and BOS, bar some of his decision making/shooting, which as you say, could improve. For what he does lack in that final part of his game, it's at least nice to see someone so willing to take the ball, move it forward with pace and look for a cross or a shot - he's quite single minded like that, and it's a plus. Thought Manning got ran fairly ragged against a good winger (was it Atkinson?) and Blackburn did seem to double up on him with fast movement and the knowledge that BOS isn't the most drilled on the defensive side of the game. Weird refereeing and as any one unfortunate enough to be sat near me would know, I found the dark arts stuff very frustrating. I know teams have to be well organised at this level when you're limited, particularly with Blackburn's away record and we do some of this too (Lumley in particular). But god, the constant cynical time wasting. Graham trying to ref the game himself. Feigning injury to break up our momentum intelligently, but annoyingly. Maybe I'm a cynic but you could tell it was all BS because the moment a player of their's went down, the Blackburn team would trudge off slowly to have a drink and a chat with Mowbray. Summed it up in the second half when none of their players went to fetch a ball in their half because the keeper was having a drink and the ref was happy to have a nice long natter with them. Keeper warned 4 times for time wasting by my count but only booked just before the final whistle, what's the point? I know that's the modern game and teams will do it cos it works but it's just...I hate it.
