This might be very relevant
"BBC Television Centre was sold yesterday for £200 million to a property developer. The 14 acre site has been purchased by Stanhope PLC"
Well STAN was one of the best players to ever don a correctly designed blue and white shirt and Tony is giving us HOPE so therefore here is the answer to the question of where the new stadium will be.

With the annoucement that there will be a 70% increase in the revenues from TV Rights into the Premiership this is a brilliant opportunity for QPR to prove once and for all that we are a 'family club' that 'cares for its fans'.
The players are paid enough and if all this new money does is move Bartons pay from £80 to £100k a week as supporters we have all been mugged.
Perhaps Tony can set the example for the rest of football to follow that this new money doesn;t mean that wages will increase by the amount of the TV deal. Some of the money will be spent on the infrastructure of the Club to include freezing match day prices and reducing the price of season tickets for existing season ticket holders.
This gesture would cost the club very little in real terms but would send a brilliant message to the rest of football that players are paid quite enough and that there is one club that is giving some of the money back to the most important element of the club, the fan base.
OK I know pigs might fly but why not?

I'm not sure if this is can be right. I've done some consultancy for Tampa Bay Rowdies (the article mentions 'flames' but I think this is the same as there is only one 'soccer' team in Tampa) and I tried to get a connection between Tampa and QPR (Rodney Marsh/Steve Wicks) but the Club siad that Asia was their core market opportunity.
UK Clubs do go to Florida pre season, Orlando is now starting to become more popular with English teams (although the Northern East Coast cities will attract more interest New York/Chicago) and fixtures are already in place at the end of July for Orlando to play Stoke and also Forest.
It would be great if we do go to Tampa but I think it's one friendly too far

No Dennis the Menace no halves/quarters/hoops/lines.......just red. We've worn a similar away kit before.

If he gets offered more money he'll consider going. The only people in football that are loyal are you and me the supporters.....but as for the players and the managers with very few exceptions they will go where the money is.
This is despite the fact that they don't need yet another pad in the Caribbean.
I'm sure Tony would try and block any move but it seems to me that a football contract isn't worth the paper its written on and therefore nothing would suprise me.

I think a few weeks ago this was a done deal in that there was no guarantee of Hill being offered a contract or at the most a 12 month one. Leeds could probably offer Hill the security of a 3 year deal which at his age could be what might tip the balance.
Whether now we've remained in the Premiership and his personal performances and winning of Club awards will mean that a year of Prem wages (he is probably on Championship wages now) might be enough to keep him with us only time will tell. I suspect had we gone done Clint would have left for Leeds......I hope the club offers him a fair 12 month contract to keep him. He deserves it

Thanks Gramps for uploading.
These 3 examples were sent to Briatore 4 years ago and at the beginning of the season to Philip Beard.
No response!
My suggestion to the Club was to create a number of options and put 3-4 logo alternatives on line or in the match programme for supporters to vote for their favourite.
I think I have some credibility with logo design.......
..... as I was part of the team responsible for the creation of the Champions League logo...... and that has not changed since it was first designed for the 1991/2 season.

I don't get it.
Hughes, Cisse and now Barton are all saying we won't be a rollover, Man City had better watch out etc etc etc.
Given the importance of this game, not only to City but to US, I think silence would have been prudent and letting our voice be on the pitch, rather than in the press.
IF we get a result then we could say whatever we wanted.
If I was on the management of Man City I'd have these articles all over the home dressing room next Sunday just to inspire the City team even more.
Why don't we ever learn?

My post on Sunday was from the heart.
Supporting the R's for 50 years, I couldn't stay anymore at Stamford Bridge and left at 5-0.
Was I a bad supporter for leaving before the end? I don't think so.
It didn't help that my tickets were in the East Stand about as close to their end as you could possibly get.
I'm sure those watching on Sky found it horrible but being there and being at that end of the ground was 10x worse.
But 4 days later and with Spurs regaining some of their form now 'Arry's not gonna manage Ingerland' we still have a chance to avoid the drop.
Let no-one think that a drop down to the Championship will be good for the Club. It won't.
If we do go down I really fear that we'll go the way of Coventry rather than Norwich.
So despite what my head said after that pathetic performance on Sunday that we were doomed, today I believe I feel a little more optimistic.
I believe that the players cannot perform as badly again.
I believe that we will concentrate from the first to the last minute.
I believe that Mark Hughes doesn't think that Cisse is a left midfielder.
I believe that Diakate will be fit to play.
AND
WE can make a difference on Sunday.
We can really be the 12 man that inspires the players to perform, support in a way that perhaps we haven't done for a while. Total support for the team from all sides of the ground, even the old gits like me that are sometimes a bit quiet. Let's all make it as noisy and uplifting for our players as it is as hostile as possible for Stoke.
Forget our differences on who should perform and give 90 minutes that WE can be proud of.
Do I think we can beat Stoke?
TOGETHER I believe we can.

Just back, because yes I left when the 5th goal went in so perhaps I'm a fairweather supporter but never in my 50 years of supporting this Club have I ever been so ashamed of the team and its performance.
To say they were woeful is in adequate, none of them should collect any wages and every single supporter that spent his or hard earned money should be compensated.
To lose is one thing, to lose to that particular team in the manner that we did is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.
Who to blame?
The manager for the tactics? The guys behind the scenes for their preparation (or what would seem lack of preparation)? The players?
I blame them all, every single person that was associated with the display today.
They will go home to their mansions, they will pick up their £50k next week and move on to another mug club at the end of the season.
In 50 years of support I have seen many depressing times but at 5-0 down to that team I could take no more.
They should be ashamed and I hope the QPR website doesnt cover the game and dress it up......it should have one headline.
WE'RE SORRY.

Instead of yet more self-publicity shouldn't the CEO be working every minute at QPR to make sure that we have a Plan B?
We are financially adrift if we go down and need to make sure that everything possible is being done to secure our financial future. That should be his number one priority and there cannot be enough hours in the day to do this properly.
If that isn't enough and he does have the time, then he could at least have the decency to reply to fans that write to him.

Whilst I know I'm stating the bleeding obvious today is a day where we just might learn a little more about our fate.
Given the result on Wednesday and for the fact that for the first 30 minutes we hardly touched the ball and were given a passing lesson by Liverpool, to win the game from the position we were in with 15 mins left was magnificent.
However today is different.
Sunderland will be hurt by their midweek defeat and will no doubt be Martin O'Neil style up for it but we hopefully will have some more confidence in our own abilities as a team.
It will be interesting to see if JB joins SWP on the bench, I doubt it but the team did play better without him that much was pretty obvious. So perhaps today we will start to see more strength from Hughes?
A 'bad' defeat will probably signal the end and the Liverpool result will be one of the highlights of the season. A point or a win (I can dream) would start to build upon the foundations for the 'great escape'.....
...to all those travelling north, I have great respect for your loyalty and hope we all have a great afternoon in the sushine.........

I hate to say it as it seems unbelievable that in this day and age that for these guys that have the luck to be blessed with being professional footballers and get paid a kings ransom for having fun...that a player would refuse to play on any grounds apart from injury/bereavement.
But unfortunately in this football player part of the world where I live in leafy Buckinghamshire I also heard the same line of 'refusal to play' if Barton was playing.
It sucks if it's true and sucks if it isn't and we think it might be!

I'm afraid I agree with you Gramps, he was my absolute boyhood hero and it is sad to see that he never bothered to reply especially as your book cover has a pretty iconic picture of him.
Off subject now I know but did you get any response to those that you sent your book to (Fernandes/Amit/Warnock/Beard etc?)

This IS NOT a criticism of Clint Hill. It is in fact the opposite.
Last week against Everton he was my Man Of The March. Today in my humble opinion he was too.
Let's just get real. Clint SHOULD NOT be our MOTM given the squad.
The fact that he is, doesn't show how good Clint is, but unfortunately how bad the rest are.

Having written 5 letters to him with zero reply thus far I hope you get better than I did.
As a supporter for 50 years I found it sad that the Club hadn't the decency of even a 'thank you for your letter which is receiving considersation' template that is so much better than nothing.
Good luck with the suggestion.
The Brentford positive angle doesn;t suprise me as that's where Mark Devlin is CEO.

Wouldn't it be just nice if for once managers and players treated supporters with some respect and having some common sense.
If they came out and said 'Sorry guys, we played badly today. Don't know why it went so bad we'd spent the week at the training ground working on corners and Joey hit everyone spot on. We're really sorry we;ve let you and ourselves down. It's going to be tough but we'll give it 100%'
You'd almost forgive them.
This is not just about the current crop as I include most managers/players in this. How many games have you been to where the team has been dire only for the manager of the day to report "I saw lots of good things out there today"
BE HONEST!

Given the importance of the game today why did it appear that we were not as committed as Fulham?
Even before the sending off (why did some of our supporters applaud the player as he came off?) we were second best in almost every department. They had the ball in the back of the net after less than 3 minutes for a start but even that wasn't a wake up call.
I was there along with many others in October when we lost 6-0 and you would have thought that the players irrespectivetive of it also being a local derby would have wanted it more than Fulham...to set the record straight.
The only player that seemed to care was Clint Hill and let's be honest, who thought he'd still be playing in the Premiership?
We were second best in every department and frankly that is just not acceptable......just like the first half at Blackburn. We could and should have been 0-3 down at half time.
The second half we were marginally better, but did Fulham just drop a gear and go into cruise control?
I have seen many bad times in my 50 years of supporting QPR. Seen many truly appalling players and performances. But that is forgiveable if there is heart, desire and passion.
The players we have who earn in a week what the average person earns in 2 years of working should be ashamed.
Lack of skill is one thing. But lack of pride is another.

He was a complete and utter waste of space this afternoon. He can't pass and he can't tackle. Why is he playing?
The corner that he took that went out for a goal kick typified his performance for me. Appalling.
Hughes show us you've got balls and drop him.
