With the annoucement that there will be a 70% increase in the revenues from TV Rights into the Premiership this is a brilliant opportunity for QPR to prove once and for all that we are a 'family club' that 'cares for its fans'.
The players are paid enough and if all this new money does is move Bartons pay from £80 to £100k a week as supporters we have all been mugged.
Perhaps Tony can set the example for the rest of football to follow that this new money doesn;t mean that wages will increase by the amount of the TV deal. Some of the money will be spent on the infrastructure of the Club to include freezing match day prices and reducing the price of season tickets for existing season ticket holders.
This gesture would cost the club very little in real terms but would send a brilliant message to the rest of football that players are paid quite enough and that there is one club that is giving some of the money back to the most important element of the club, the fan base.
OK I know pigs might fly but why not?

Because that would fly directly in the face of what he's here for. I'm not sure when the club's actually receive that money. As the existing contract covers next season surely next's season's payments will be based on that agreed structure and the new payments from the the deal just announced will not be received until the end of the seasons which it covers. It is a bit unfair, if that is the case, to ask Tony to use money he hasn't received yet to keep prices down! Anyway people seem to be happy mostly with the ticket prices this season. Apparently that £50 has made all the difference from being a rip off under Braitore and Bhatia to now being great under Fernandes and Bhatia!
