Your points are you would rather have Adel playing and Harry sacked. At least be man enough to say it, instead of trying to sound knowledgeable and playing with words. Not sure where you draw one from the other.[/quote] Its quite simple. Would you prefer Adel paying: Yes/No Would you prefer Harry replaced as manager: Yes/No Your posts suggest the answer to both is Yes. Whether I want Redknapp to stay or go is unrelated to Taarabt. If Redknapp can keep us up, etc, etc, I would want Redknapp to remain Manager regardless of whether he played Taarabt.. OK?
But I can continue - like any poster on this board - to praise or criticize Redknapp - or any player -

Adel will continue to split views . Such a waste of talent but if he is as unfit as Redknapp says he is then he should not be in the squad. He didn't look to bad in 15 - 20 minutes against West Ham though. Three stone overweight yet took players on against West Ham ok, maybe he put two stone on over the last fortnight?

Agree with everything you said 57 varieties. Not so long ago people on here we're going crazy about the attitude of the money grabbing players and poison that existed within the club. Along comes Harry, gets rid of most of the parasites and instills a fantastic team spirit that results in one of the best days of my football life last May. One or two results don't go our way and all of a sudden Harry is a nasty man cos he's upsetting dear little Adel. If anyone is in any doubt about his attitude, please read Warnocks book. He is nothing but trouble. Warnock was prepared to put up with him in order to get us up. Harry is not and I make him right. Yes he looked decent against West Ham, but he had about 15 mins FFS!

Look
I don't object (too strongly) to Redknapp not wanting Taarabt at QPR.
I do say that Redknapp has his Golden Favourites on who he lavishes praise
I do say that Redknapp NEVER liked Taarabt backs to the Spurs days
I do say that we might need Taarabt - and that as long as he is at QPR, should make the best. And against West Ham, he did show
And I do say, you do not, ever publicly humiliate and denigrate your own players

My point being if you treat players like that who have nothing to do with todays game or loss then its a wonder any of the squad respect him. Wonder who's going to be next that he puts down ? Today the side shipped a record 3 own goals...Pick on them they caused the loss of the game ffs Total c**p. Having read your various comments on yesterday's match I think we must have been watching different games.
Ignoring your other posts and just looking at this one, there were not 3 own goals - sure their second brushed a leg on the way in but it was not an own goal - if it was, Vargas's second was an own goal as well.
Harry's comments re Fat Boy were in response to a question about the Fat Boy so who else should he have spoke about. The Fat Boy is getting £3million a year for doing nothing, and people on here call Rio and others Mercenaries! Harry even pointed out that if people keep asking him about Fat Boy what else can he say and he cannot keep covering up for him for ever.
Fat Boy has been warned enough times and does not have the brain to work it out. I'm glad Harry has had the guts to give him the public blast he deserves. As for picking on other players you obviously did not watch all Harry's after match interviews. He praised the whole team for their attitude and effort and general performance but blasted Fer in particular for flopping a cross to the Liverpool defence with 30 seconds left instead of taking a shot which either would have gone in or into the crowd and the game would have over with a well deserved point.
He also blasted the players for being naïve and those who switched off - and there were at least five who did switch off - for the first Liverpool goal.
People on here have been calling for Harry to show more passion and yesterday he did and told things as they are - if you can't handle the truth don't watch.
And then all the previous comments about the players not showing passion and not appealing for a handball at West Ham. Well you got your way yesterday - five of them turned their backs and argued with the ref about a free kick and watched as the ball hit the back of net from their first goal.
Back to Fat Boy buy out his contract and get him out of the place - he is a disruptive and negative influence. What incentive is there for other players to train hard when they see what he gets away with and know how much he is paid for doing nothing. The players all know about Fat Boy and I bet the players have a bit more respect for Harry for standing up and saying how he feels.
When Fat Boy goes we can concentrate on things that matter rather than Fat Boys weight with questions like "is he really 40lbs overweight" - Just look at a photo of the (censored) and you can see that he is overweight - how much overweight depends on what he had for dinner last night.
If you watched qpr v liverpool yesterday we most likely was watching the same match & the manager knows his players but might not fully understand the roles of the players needed to fit the system of play. We can differ in opinion as to who plays what, where, who etc, i still think its unprofessional of Harry to openly lay into a player who is an active member of his squad. Try putting yourself as that player taking that criticism in a open public forum & the physiological affect it may have on him. If I was Adel and talented as him & was shown no respect by a manager like 'get a loan in' Arry I'd maybe give about 50% respect & motivated to work for him meanwhile thinking to myself the moneys good though so I'll hang on. right or wrong .. Was Harrys rant his way of saying please put your boots on and play for me Adel? Didn't sound like it but how about simply saying ' please play for me Adel I need you in the side can;t you see how well we can play yesterday' ? Is Adel allowed to publicly defend himself ? If he did then he'd most likely get fined but Harry should also be held accountable for talking like that about a club player. Surely he should be the only one at fault for the players condition under his management, Harry needs to face the fact that he might need to change his ways to motivate the players, if not then loan Adel out to Brentford and run him into fitness with much needed game time. Yes Harry showed a little heart yesterday but still another loss to add to his stats...clocks ticking

Is this really a man who's THREE STONE overweight, Harry? 'Unfit' Adel Taarabt appears in good shapeThe Moroccan was slated by the QPR boss after Sunday's defeat to Liverpool - but does this picture prove Redknapp was wrong? Out of favour: Adel Taarabt in training three days ago Harry Redknapp slammed Adel Taarabt after QPR's defeat to Liverpool, claiming the Moroccan wasn't fit to play football. Not only that, he is apparently "three stone overweight". So does Harry have a point? On this evidence, no. This picture was taken from Rangers training just three days ago and shows Taarabt in pretty good shape. Maybe the training kit does him a few favours. Asked why the tricky winger wasn't involved on Sunday, Redknapp said: "He's not injured. He's not fit. He's not fit to play football unfortunately. He played in a reserve game the other day and I could have run about more than he did. "I pick people who want to try, who come in every day and work, train and show a good attitude. When he starts doing that, if he ever can, maybe he'll get a game. "I can't protect people who don't want to run and train, and are about three stone overweight. "What am I supposed to say? Keep getting your 60, 70 grand a week and don't train?" In pictures: QPR 2-3 Liverpool goo.gl/vNp0A2

Metro - Adel Taarabt could be SACKED by QPR following Harry Redknapp’s ‘fat’ blastMonday 20 Oct 2014 12:00 pm Queens Park Rangers could legally dismiss their ‘overweight’ midfielder Adel Taarabt for failure to fulfill his contract after his condition was blasted by manager Harry Redknapp following the defeat to Liverpool. The Moroccan has played just three times this season for QPR and Redknapp didn’t hold back on his assessment of the 25-year-old after yesterday’s dramatic 3-2 defeat against the Reds. Redknapp said: ‘He’s not fit to play football unfortunately. He played in a reserve game the other day and I could have run about more than he did. ‘I pick people who want to try, who come in every day and work, train and show a good attitude. When he starts doing that, if he ever can, maybe he’ll get a game. I can’t protect people who don’t want to run and train, and are about three stone overweight. ‘What am I supposed to say? Keep getting your 60, 70 grand a week and don’t train?’ QPR can SACK fat Taarabt after Redknapp blastConcerned: Harry Redknapp (Picture: AP) According to leading employment lawyer at Irwin Mitchell, Glenn Hayes, the struggling club must give the Moroccan every opportunity to lose weight and support him with this over the coming months, however if the player does not cooperate and is unable to fulfil his contract as a result of his weight, the club could lawfully dismiss the player. Hayes said: ‘QPR’s perilous financial situation is well known and I expect that they certainly will have one eye on whether they can generate a transfer fee for the player in January. ‘They will also look to see whether it is possible to loan the player out again, but with Harry Redknapp announcing that the player is almost three stone overweight, I doubt clubs will be rushing to get a deal done any time soon. ‘The reality of the situation is that QPR have one of their highest earners not playing football. He is potentially a key member of the QPR squad and presumably like all players, he will have clauses in his contract that relate to his fitness and willingness to train. ‘If he isn’t meeting these, and it appears that he is not willing to change, then the club could look to lawfully terminate the contract. ‘If the Taarabt situation occurred in the corporate world and a senior executive was not fulfilling their duties, the business wouldn’t hesitate to take action to protect their financial position. It should be no different in sport, but then again football does sometimes operate in a bubble when it comes to employment law.’ metro.co.uk/2014/10/20/adel-taarabt-could-be-sacked-by-qpr-following-harry-redknapps-fat-blast-4913175/

And to be clear: The specific issue is Redknapp's public attack on Taarabt - and if he's using a false claim to make that allegation. If it's not true, it's character assassination and the club shouldnt be allowing it.
If it IS true, then I just think it's idiotic the REdknapp attack

He is an Employee of the club and as such should do his job and that includes getting himself fit and watching his diet. Taarabt obviously has a problem with his weight so like Simpson in the close season he should have employed a personal trainer to make sure that he was ready for pre season. But no not Taarabt he turns up as fat as a house and still mid way through October he is over weight and has had very little game time. As for Harry's technique for motivating the side that didn't look like a side that is not playing for the manager yesterday. In his press conference he was asked a question about Taarabt and months possibly years of frustration about Taarabt poured out and to be truthful I don't blame him. In any other profession Taarabt would have been sacked. And as I posted months ago we should just cut our loses and ship him out for free!!!

Probably just took out his frustrations the fact we just blew a point on Adel . As far as I am concerned Adel has great qualities on the pitch but if Redknapp thinks he is and if he definitely is unfit then he shouldn't use him and I stick with his decision. If it's just a cover up story for something else that's a different matter. That must be some sweat top covering up an extra 40 pounds . I want one of these for my middle age spread

Redknapp admitted he was exaggerating in the interview.
In hindsight he should have just left it at "he's not fit...." as the rest wasn't necessary.
But like 57 said it was probably years of Taarabt annoying Harry plus the disappointment of that last second defeat that probably pushed him over the top.
It's done now and you can't put the toothpaste back in the tube so time to move on. We need 3 points against Villa on Monday night and that's where the focus should be now.

Get rid,end of problem.
Yes he is not 3 stone overweight, but I'd wager he is a disruptive force.
A player of talent, yes, but not quite there yet, think in his own mind he see's himself up with Messi,Bale etc,but in reality more akin to a decent Championship player.
I think Redknapp's outburst was more to do with frustration at Tarrabt.
Sure,as people point out he looked decent when he played 20 mins at West Ham,but seriously,I would have looked good playing in my slippers compared to the dross we produced that day.
To all Adel's fans anyone remember him walking out on us when Fulham thumped us a few seasons back, half time sub,so left the Ground?
There has been too much trouble with this guy,a clear sign he has Delusions of Grandeur.
Will never be world class, just has the wrong attitude,by the way,I am Not Harry's biggest fan,but this is how i see it.

I hope Harry is just as costick towards our defence. The goalkeeper being the exception. Oddly enough, I did a "Tony" today and spent a few hours playing Fifa 15. We beat Liverpool 4-3. I also have 14 points thus far this season. If only it was true in real life. Still it was nice to suffer yet another day of shit from Liverpool fans around the place. I'm really beginning to enjoy having the piss taken every weekend and week day.

Nothing else has worked with taraabt. Personally I am quite happy that Redknapp has dug him out and I bet you that the majority of the squad are pleased as well. He is the most talented player at the club and is ambling through his contract and contributing nothing
The press keep asking about taraabt and Harry has clearly finally had enough. Now it's up to taraabt to shove those words down Harry's throats and if he does I am sure nobody will be more pleased than Redknapp himself.
The 3st or 40 lbs is irrelevant that point is he is not as fit as a professional footballer should be and there is no excuse for that
