Welcome George.
I hope you gel with our other younger players & that your career progresses from here.
At least it's not too far too travel back from Cardiff after International breaks!

Some thoughts on Hugill from Claret & Hugh website: Might be amenable to a switch, though not sure we could afford those wages + transfer fee... I think that's the same site that was valuing Hugill & Eze both at £12 million not long ago!

I would love us to sign a 19 year old goalscorer with a good record for £500,000. It may not work & it may be half a million wasted, but it is the type of transfer I'm all in favour of.
He may not be a signing we will make, but yes please to the idea.
BTW, the original post quoted an article that stated Blackpool United. I've heard of Blackpool & AFC Blackpool but who the heck are they!

I regard Amos more than lot's of Rangers fans & feel his position ios further forward than the holding role which ke was mainly given. He also appeared to gel with our own youngsters & care about the club
However, I don't want him on another loan. The club have seen him for a whole season & he knows the club & is probably aware of the wage structure within the club. If a accepts to fall into line with his salary & Tottenham are realistic about a transfer fee, then fine. Otherwise thank you to Luke but goodbye.

Nor me bow.
They should have been held prior to lockdown& & any appeals could then have been heard in June/early July at the latest.
I think they must fear the clubs dragging it out for a few years by taking it to court as we threatened to do.

Yes, Wigan's appeal is at the end of July. But I don't think that the EFL have even passed judgement yet on Sheffield Wednesday or Derby. Once that's in, then both clubs have the right to appeal. I'm not sure, but I think they may have something like 2 weeks from the date of adjudication. Then the EFL and/or independent panel will need to convene to consider the appeal(s). All of this is going to take WEEKS... So my guess is that only Wigan will be deducted points (or possibly not, pending their appeal) - the others will almost certainly roll over to next season. The Sheffield Wednesday case has been heard. I think it was finished before the end of June, but neither club nor the EFL has issued it's findings. Perhaps they have kept it quiet awaiting an appeal? As Derby would almost certainly not been deducted enough points to relegate them, I would prefer that to be held over till next season!

I honestly think that we suffered from the club's reaction to the restart date.
When we played Barnsley there was only one side that wanted to be on the pitch & it took a fair while to recover from that.
Interestingly enough (at least to me!) is that our "easy" nine games that remained included five of the top ten in points earned in the period. Sheffield Wednesday were the only side we played that perhaps had nothing to play for (barring a points deduction) & we quite royally f'ed that up!
I wish that Charlton had not conceded a last minute equalliser at Birmingham & then they would have stayed up instead of Brum! We needed to win seven of our games to have made the play offs & that was never a starter.

There is also the chance 57, that Wednesday could incur a deduction to keep Charlton safe.
I can't see it happening & I can't see how Wigan could win their appeal, but at the moment Hull are the only club definitely relegated.
Well done on finding the date for the appeal, I'd not been able to!

This is incorporating promotion/relegation ro both ends of The Championship. Watford are currently 3-0 down at West Ham at half time & although it is doubtful, let us consider our line up next season IF Watford were to be relegated & Luton avoided the drop. If that scenario came to fruition Watford would have three very local derbies as well as having Reading just along the M4 - Rangers, Luton & the club that The Devil formed (WW to the uninitated). Thames Valley & the Northern Home Counties rock! It would be interesting to test whether the Watford/Luton detestation has been superceeded by the hostility between Rangers & Luton! I would prefer Watford to stay up, but I think I might have got this one right even if I was wrong with us winning at Albion & Fulham being promoted!

Creditable draw against a dangerous but nervous West Brom side. Brentford screw it up with no help from us required. Up a little to 14th. Phew. 13th my man. 13th!

In the main, I thought it was a reasonable performance.
The con's were Ball not going with his man for Brom's first, Kakay & Amos losing the "tackle" for the second & some poor passing in our own half to gift them the ball.
The pro's were our ability to attack on the ground & Eze. How many clubs will be queueing up for him now?
Manning possibly increased his own valuation, but BOS didn't add a penny to his!

I've been reading for the past three seasons that we don't consider Brentford as a rival. Funny how so many Rangers fans don't want them to go up!
Do I want us to win at Albion? Too bloody right I do! If that means the Bees or the Cottagers are automatically promoted, so be it & good luck to them.

Unless Preston hijack it with a higher bid this should go through quickly. Wigan are desperate to get some cash to pay the wages. Trouble is still 5 days to go before the transfer window opens so lots can happen during that time so I wish this had been kept quiet until the 27th. Get him to sign a pre=contract agreement! Someone will know better than me but if they're in admin, the adminstrators have the right to sign off transfers, right? Or at least, once the window is open? Imagine this being out in the open is pretty much the same as what we may have done with the BOS deal - make the acceptable bid level public, alert clubs to his availability and value and hope others come in to hijack it. I think bow that the administrators have to accept the best offer but they can't make the player agree to join us or a different club. I'm almost sure that it would have to be one payment for full settlement rather than in installments & will almost certainly have no add on's attached as they would have been transferred to the fee. Back in the early '60's Mike Ferguson (later to plasy for us) refused the transfer that had been arranged for him to leave Accrington & would have kept them alive for another couple of weeks, as it was not in his best interests. Instead of joining Bury or Rochdale or whoever the club was, he joined Blackburn who were in the top half of the top division. It has been reported that Millwall have offered £1.85 million, but if we have offered £2 million the administrator can't accept the Millwall offer. That is unless the payment terms offered by Millwall are more advantageous.

Still shocking to get that offered that for BOS. What next Manning 2 Mill and Eze 5 Hopefully we will hang on and at least get 6-7 Million for him which is more realistic surely. I think that is being very negative harr. 1) BOS has performed at that level for just three months of his career. Yes, I would like more than £5 million, but I don't regard that as unrealistic, especially as he would go for less than that in January or for bnowt next summer due to his contract expiring. Before December we would have been lucky to receive £2 million. 2) Manning for £2 million. Again, I would like more, but I don't see him going for more than £3 million. His contract is in the same position as BOS. 3) You have valued Eze as the same as BOS. His value would IMO be at least three times miore & the club have reportedly stated that their valuation is £20 milliom. I do expect him to leave this summer, but at a fee of £15 million minimum. BREAKING NEWS! Who knows the truth, but there are rumours today that Bruge have backed out as the price as got too hot for them following interest from Leicester & Brighton.

I said jokingly last Friday night that Brentford would lose to Stoke and Barnsley, we would win at West Brom & Fulham will be promoted!
That scenario is still alive & both the Brentford & Fulham matches are vital at both ends with all four clubs neerding to win & hope!

No deal can be completed unti July 27th when the transfer window opens.
Or perhaps that should be registered instead of completed. However, if BOS wants to go to Belguim rather than English clubs, that is where he will probably end up.
There is no 14 day quarantine between England & Belguim 75. At least at this end & my next door but one neighbours didn't have to lockdown in either country on their visit there in July.

I'm certain MW & the players will want to win. I'm also sure rhat WBA are not as good a team as the media would have you believe.
However, it isn't often that the side needing the win don't get it on the final day.

I think that's just because they hadn't decided which game/s to show until they knew which games will matter. The last matches are never announced until after the penultimate games are played. I stand corrected. I just looked at the T guide and there's a placeholder for a live EFL game on Sky Sports Football at 7pm.If I had to guess, it would be either us, Brentford or Fulham. Ut has now been announced that the match at West Brom will be live on Sky.

It seems amazing to me that we could go into the last matches with nobody knowing if the table at the end of those games will be the final standings.
If Wigan did appeal that would need to be held before those games. Also the result of the Wednesday hearing requires announcing & any appeal against a point deduction, if given, to be held on Monday or Tuesday.
These outcomes affect Barnsley, Hull, Luton, Charlton, Birmingham & Middlesbrough as well as Wigan & Sheffield Wednesday.

That's Entertainment! They dominated us in the air in the second half but couldn't get close to us on the ground! What a header from Kane. It looked even better with each replsy. And Oteh had two or three good runs. We will almost certainly br the main Championship match on Sky on Wednesday. Just checked Terry, there are no live Championship games scheduled for ednesday which is absurd if you ask me. I think that's just because they hadn't decided which game/s to show until they knew which games will matter. The last matches are never announced until after the penultimate games are played.

I really enjoyed that half.
We were playing the ball about like we did when at our best this season. The defence has looked fairly safe & going forward Manning, Amos, Eze & Chair are combining very well.
