As all message boards are so toxic after a defeat for Queens Park Rangers, I was unaware of the problems that arose between bow & other board members.
However, as I know I hold similar views to bow (though mine have mellowed somewhat as I grew old), I have decided to follow bow. For a period I intend to browse the site, but this will be my last posting.
I also wish to voice a few of my thoughts regarding this site, which may not go well with the administrators!
Firstly, if the site is to have a future, you need to drastically reduce the age & mindset of the decision makers. We are 20% through the 21st century but basically the only posting contribution from Mac is living in the past from his time of living in London. Most supporters Of our club were born before Docherty was first appointed as manager or Mobley appeasred on the pitch at loftus Road. Yet, every year, Mac chooses to remind us of IMO our worst manager & player. YES, give me Redknapp & Bosingwa any day over those two!
This board is meant to be football related only & politics is definitely a no go. Is it? Even on football matters, at least one senior member's posts are perceived by me as the rantings of a right wing politician & Mac has at times openly referred to pro Israel sentiments. This is very understandable from him, but he must then throw the board open to all religious and political groups. Mac will be aware that I have previously sent him a PM to reflect this view.
There was also a thread recently bemoaning how "highly regarded" past board members no longer post. I wonder if it was realised how insulting that was for the small group of regular posters that you have? "Oh, how I miss x, y or z", but not one word of appreciation for ricky, bow, marc, ashdown, sharpy etc. An easy way to alienate your members!
To those I mentioned & more who's names escape my memory at the moment, I wish to say goodbye & thank you for the comradeship we have shared.

The deflection off Ball took the ball through to Wells. Without that we had the pass cut out.
The football we've played has been wonderful, but can we keep it going?

Pretty amazing programme. I think every football fan should watch and learn. I did not think it was possible for my opinion of JT to sink any lower, but Anton has managed to do just that. The incident wrecked Ferdinand's career and nearly his whole life. Incredibly brave to make this effort to protect the black youth of today. As ever, the authorities (FA) come out of it very poorly, as did the judicial system Taking the knee is one thing, but the problem seems to be as bad today as back then. Well worth watching - very thought provoking. Really hope that something changes as a consequence. Meanwhile, a BBC football pundit gets suspended for referring to an on-field scrap as 'handbags'. 24 hours where yet again we seem to be getting our football priorities very wrong...covid or no covid. I understand that the BBC reporter did a bit more than refer to a mild skirmish as handbags ricky. I've not looked it up, but I read a post that stated that he made three references in the same commentary that were far from complimentary to females. I think that he said that soemone who missed a chance should have been wearing a skirt plus a reference to another persons wife. Probably none of his comments were earth shattering, but at best they were as bad as what Gray & Keys were sacked by Sky for*. Is it really that difficult to expect a commentator, especially a professional, to know what is acceptable or not to say? * The lady official that this duo were laughing at, is IMO the best official in this country & possiblyoin the continent. Whenever she raises her flag (or doesn't) I've stopped looking to see if it is correct as it invariably is!

I thought that last night showed we are not too far off of Brentford as a team & if their player had been sent off we MAY have won.
What was good was to see a Championship match on Sky that was full of football being played & entertaining.
I'm not sure how I would mark the referee. The non sending off was a huge mistake, but otherwise I thought he was good.

That match changed the life of Anton Ferdinand.
I can't comment of the effect on his family & private life, but it is impossiblr to endure the spotlight & publicity that he did & remain unchanged. I do hope that this documentary has a positive outcome for him.
I did witness his career slipping into a downward spiral. Until this game he had performed very well for Rangers & this was the case against the Pensioners. He rarely reached those heights from then, although memory tells me he played reasonably in our winning games at the end of the season.
It is reported that he is already receiving abuse on personal media with pictures of bananas etc.

BOS looks like he's playing to get noticed... Sometimes it’s not surprising he wants away, the times he has opened up defences and laid on opportunities for his colleagues only to see them wasted. We should have had 4 or 5 in that first half, so he showed them how it should be done with that super goal But, it was BOS who missed most of the chances! I thought we played well in the first half, but we made very hard work of the second period. Especially after Willock went off. We allowed Rotherham to dictate the play & it wasn't helped with Bonne being continuall offside. That made it easy for Rotherham to launch the ball forward again. I don;'t like Cameron as a player, but even I would have preferred him to still be on the pitch to help weather the bombardment.

I'm sure many have played with a broken nose. I'm sure it's mot pleasant, but if need me I expwect he will play. After all, Masterson managed 60 minutes with it broken yesterday. I assume Barbet's foot injury was from when he rescued Ball.
Timer will tell, but I don't think there is anychance that Ball & Cameron will both be starting at centre half.

I'm going to be controversial. I watched the "penalty" on a loop & I can understand why a free kick was given to Watford! Barbet did nothing wrong & would have been totally mystified as to the decision. However, the Rangers player nearest to him (Cameron?) clearly walks deliberately into the path of the Watford player. I think this was before he pulled Barbet. Whether that id obstruction, or clever play by the attacking side is open to question. As a Rangers man I still demand a penalty for it, but if I was a Watford fan I would be livid if one was given. I can see the argument for that but it's players jostling for a position in the box - a position that is 1) not always determined by going direct for the first contact with the ball and 2) happens in a split second from a ball being pinged into a busy, vague area. Personally I don't see that as 'clearly' blocking his path, I see that just as easily Cameron trying to secure his own space to position for a knockdown or rebound. Way I see it, the defender clearly lost his man (Barbet), Cameron is moving in relation to his position (not every player in every set piece is looking to attack the ball tactically). Whether he has done that deliberately or not is debatable in my opinion. Other way of looking at it is what is Cameron supposed to do? He is wear he wants to be in the box, as his is want. Barbet breaks free, defender's path to Barbet isn't convenient - where is he supposed to go? I see your point but in terms of securing your own space, far worse than that happens within the rules at the majority of set pieces for me. I would agree with you bow if Cameron hadn't moved away from the goal to get in his path. As I say, I still think we should have been given a penalty but I can understand why the referee gave a free kick. The holding of Masterson at the far post when the ball camne clear should have been a penalty as well. I think he may have had a tap in without the hold.

I only saw the last half hour, but we played a bit of football in that time. Especially for the goal!
I thought we looked a decent side in that time with the defence secure. Todd & Niko were good & the centre halves were mainly in control. Semy didn't have much to do while I was watching & we were the better side.
It might not have been that way for the whole match though. I wait for Bow & others to let me know!

I'm fairly sure that Gubbins was only on a month's loan & that has finished.
I would also think that the chances of Rangers agreeing to him becoming cup tied were close to zero.

Just noticed that just another EFL FFP F**K UP. Its bad enough Chalton got relegated and the points were taken this year but then give them back 6 !! What would of happened if Wednesday went down last year then? would they now of just got promoted. I can’t keep up with them, if you make a decision surely you have to stick with it though. Maybe they will tell us this year we owe them 10 million less 🤷♂️ It's not the EFl who have reduced the deduction. Wednesday appealed & the independant tribunal gave their judgement. I assume this is now binding. However, the EFL have not come out of this with any merit.

A very composed performance & a deserved win.
I was about to swear at Dickie for not playing the ball to the right & then he delivered it perfectly for Bonne!
The whiole defence defended well & I can't remember a mistake from Dickie or Barbet. Behind them Dieng commanded his area & made two good/very good saves in the first half. We did go off the boil for a bit of the second half & i got a little edgy, but our defence didn't!
Very pleasing, but I'm too awake now!

I'm going to make a wild stab in the dark and guess that it was paul mason. A nasty & abusive member if ever there was one. I've just been looking at PM's that I've sent in the past Marc & I can confirm that quite a few were concerning this person! I certainly forgot that he had upset yourself, 75 & bow in the past as well as myself. From memory, Rory was another member of our "elite".

Of the old posters, there is one who I don't miss at all. Thankfully, I can't remember his name but he stated that he was pleased that I suffered from depression! He was a big fan of Harrold. I don't think there is any current poster that would consider that reply, never mind voice it!
I have met bow for a very enjoyable pre match drink before our last game at Portman Road & in the past I was fortunate enough to do the same with Bushman. I can say that I think most of us would enjoy a beer together. Bow, what user name did you post under on LFW please? Hopefully I'm not one of the posters you fell out with!
I am also lucky to have formed a real friendship with roller (he is mainly having a break from message boards at present) through this board.
Maybe it is because I've suffered from depression in the past, but I do give all boards a miss after a bad defeat as I can't put up with all the negativity. This is more applicable to LFW, but it certainly does apply to this board as well, although not to the same extent. Let's hope I'm on the boards tomorrow after the game at Derby!

Baz is another person missing from when I first posted. However, I think we need to accept that most, if not all, of those names are lost to this site.
The important posters these days are ricky, bow, 75, nomar, marc, stylecouncilor & harr. My apologies to any regular poster that i've missed.
I would sugest that if you looked at LFW & not606, you would see that they have also "lost" very active posters from ten years ago. Some people have fallen out of "love" with the game, some with Rangers & others with message boards. It is sad to say that some have also died & that not many younger people use these types of forum.
Other forms of social media are far more common than in the past & I would sugest that many boards are nearing the end of their natural life.

I've heard that he has been dropped from the squad as he has refused to sign a new contract.
We have to be consistent & this season he has not played like a player than any club would be interested in!
I wuill be controversial & say that we won't miss him. That doesn't mean that I think we will be any better though!

This is awful for him. I hope he has the mental strength to cope with his second long absence from playing. Even Ale Faurlin found it very hard to get through.
I like Amos more than a lot of supporters, but I'm certain that every Rangers fan wish him the very best mentally & physically.

Firstly, it is stated that this is FIFA backed & so it would almost certainly receive the support od UEFA & the individual national associations.
What I don't know is whether the clubs would be playing in the European League as well as their national league, or whether it would be instead of. My guess is that the clubs would expect to be competeing in both competitions & would increase their playing/managerial staff to cope with fulfilling the fixtures.
My next question is whether the Euro League would be a closed shop or if promotion/relegation will take place. Also, what happens to the Euro Champions league (or whatever it is called)?
My answer to sryleconcillor is that I suspect that fans of the clubs included will be greatly in favour, as will armchair fans. Provided, that is, that they will be able to access television coverage. Fans of other Premier clubs will be against as The Premier would take second place behind the new league. I would also think that the television revenue weould decrease for the Premier League when the next contract is up for renewal.
I really have no idea what Championship fans will feel. Will they say YES, bogger off, or will they feel that The Premier League & being promoted to it is being devalued? I don't even know what my views are other than I've expected it to happen since the mid 60's!

Great first half from us. Bournemouth shaded the second, but both teams just lacked the killer final ball in the final third. All in all a point each was about right and I'm happy with taking a point from 'Muff at their place and well happy with a Clean Sheet too. Defence actually looked good today. Dickie is a quality defender and we already look better for having him. Kakay is going to be one of our next Prem bound players. Well said there, I can agree all this. About the game. We were so good in the first half that I am positive we have all possibilities for very interesting season! When we were left missing the goal despite dominating for the first 45min, all difficulties in second half were more than expected. After few changes we were back on drivers seat for last 10mins - to me this is a good indication of team with width and quality! Damn, when is the next game? BRING IT ON!!! Today we had only good players there, but maybe few of them can be named: Dickie - Very solid and reliable, once again! "Silent killer", does his job efficiently and leave no survivors. Kakay - seemed to have average display for Kakays game. Still very good. Definately talented defender. Ball - Backbone of our midfield and managed to bring some grit and reliability there. Very good for first start. We need him in midfield.
The next game is on Wednesday at home to Preston, followed by home to Birmingham on Saturday.

Perhaps it is a good lesson to players & certainly to some Queens Park Rangers supporters. Expectations have to be lowered as to the value (wage & transfer fee) of many a Championship "star".
In this transfer window we rsceived only one offer for Manning & no bid from an English club for BOS. hat is the reality of the market we are trying to sell in.

Very enthusiastic.
I personally don't rate him as much as many of our supporters. If you were present when he made his debut you seem to have a higher opinion than those of us that gave the FA Cup a miss that day!
He spent most of last season in the injury room or on the bench at W****** (sorry, I'm not allowed to call them by name!) & the previous season at Accrington.
He badly needs this loan move to work & if it does you will want him to become a full Charlton player.

The loan of Oteh to Stevenage leaves us with two on ther list to be left out. Unless we sign anyone else of course!

This is what i wrote on LFW for what it is worth.
In my view there are MANY things wrong with this proposal, but there are some points that I would find hard to argue against.
1) Reduction to 18 clubs. Personally, I would like the number of clubs reduced in the EFL divisions. This could be done without losing clubs by regionalising Division Two (thus having four divisions in the EFL)
2) The play offs reverting to how they were originally.
3) No Premier teams in the League Cup. Many on this board & elsewhere have been in support of this for a few years.
What I will never be able to accept, is that any organisation should be dictated to by a minority. I do expect though, that the "big 6" will have enough support from other Premier clubs. I can't envisage Everton, West Ham, Southampton, Villa, Newcasrle or Wolves opposing them. In their own minds they will be voting for Premier perpetuity. Leeds & Palace may also be in that group.
I'm also greatly against the inclusion of "B" teams in the EFL, but I expect this to eventually happen as the price of accepting Premier payments.
I'm interested in what Lee Hoos has to say about Parry's quote that 75% of EFL clubs support the change. I would think that they were not in pocession of the full proposals, even if they were consulted at all.

Thanks ricky.
I certainly wssn't aware of this regulation & I suspect that will apply to many others.
That will leave a lot of players at Forest with no chance of playing before January! I'm assuming that the 25 can be changed after the next transfer window.
I've posted these regulations on LFW quoting ricky & qpreport as my source. Well done ricky on knowing about this!
