Sitting here in Texas listening to both our game at Forest and my home town team Chesham game at Peterboro. So far 3 or 4 chances to Chesham.. and perhaps we will win our first game ever at Forest .. what a day that would be! Hello Terry, I returned home today from a few days in Bournemouth (at 75 Paul Simon was still brilliamt!) so I oouldn't maker the trip to Peterborough. From all reports that I've seen, Chesham came closer at Peterborough than Rangers normally do (I still remember the 4-1 we witnessed in the League Cup in '68) & according to most Posh fans Chesh deserved a draw at minimum. I have to admit that I had more interest in this game than the match at Forest! Indeed, I was noisier when Ryan Blake made it 2-1 than when Sylla equalised! It is now a busy week for Chesham. On Tuesday they are playing TWO first team matches (County cup & League Cup) before a trip to Dulwich Hamlet in the Trophy next Saturday. Roller, shame about Merstham, but Chesham's first two times in the 1st round proper were losses by 6-0 & 5-0. Only two weeks now until our pre Christmas drink prior to the Norwich game! I'm not looking forward to that one- they won't lose four in a row will they?

RIP Carlos.
It was a pleasure & a privilege to watch you & your team mates in that wonderful side.

I'm sure many players would have been inducted by now rather than just those that have been introduced to us at Loftus Road.
After all attending a presentation should not be a requisite.

An entertaining, enjoyable game which led to beintg pleased to be at the Bush! It came as no surprise to see why Bristol City are in the top six but I was surprised at how well Tomlin played for them.
We played with energy, purpose & passion. Every player gave us their maximum effort & no shortage of MOM nominees. Smithies once again showed he should make the England squad (no chance of that happening though), Washington chased every ball & created much for us, Ned & Caulker played like proper English centre halves up against good forwards, Borysiuk went about his business with a rare ability. Even Gladwin performed his best when he came on.
However, I thought Luongo was immense. How we missed him against Reading!
And now we can't stop scoring from open play! Last night was a gem of a goal.

The Merstham game I would expect to be televised.
I also expect the Chesham match to be switched to the Sunday so that the BBC can show all the Chesham goals!
Just a 100 mile trip for me to Peterborough so I will have to consider going. Mind you I have been there a few times before & can only remember one away win!

I'm not a manager or coach of a Championship side but surely tonight Onuhah moves back to right back and Lynch goes into the centre with Caulker and Perch left? If Perch is not fit then Hamalainen should come in at left back. Although I like Lynch he's no left back and its unfair to ask him to play there! Personally, I couldn't understand the defence on Saturday. That is how I expected us to line up then. Lynch certainly showed that he is not a left back!

Thanks Roller.
Good to see Ale with a smile on is face.
I'm still awaiting seeing us play a high tempo pressing game that Ale was meant to have struggled with!

The ban on gambling goes as far as the 9th level in England & extends to all club officials. Even the person taking the entrance money or running the "Golden Goal" competition.
It is also a worldwide ban under FIFA rather than by individual national associations. I think EVERY charge that has been found guilty has resulted in suspension & I don't know of any charge that has been found not guilty.
The regulation is known by all players & officials. There is no excuse for flaunting it!
A restriction of Human Rights? No more than any organisation stopping their employees from drinking alcohol etc. while at work (lunchtimes, rather than whilst in the office, factory floor).
Any attempt to stop fixing of matches (which this regulation is for) has to be encouraged.

Thank you very much!
Home to Wolves moved to the Thursday night. Another trip to The Bush that I probably won't be able to make.
Home to Villa moved to Sunday at 12.00.
Away to Brighton moved from Boxing Day to the Tuesday lunchtme. This one suits me but I don't like us not playing on the 26th.
We just have Reading & one other game at home on a Saturday at 3.00 until the middle of January (unless I have this wrong).
THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Roller will be devastated!
I'm astonished. How could a man like Joey make a mistake like this?
So out of character for him!

I think that the content & tone of the club statement is exactly what was required.
I understand the comment by Mac about whether JFH should be taking the training while the investigation is ongoing, but I'm far from sure that suspension is warranted. Let them conclude & then take the appropriate action.
I also doubt that had much imput into training today. He was probably meeting Hoos & Ferdinand while that was going on.
Can you imagine how we would have handled this prior to the arrival of Hoos?

I seem to remember something similar in his past that came to light in a BBC programme.
I can't remember what action the FA took over those allegations.

Some uninspiring names on the Bookies list www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/odds-next-england-manager-sam-8921185Odds on next England manager: As Sam Allardyce fights for his job, bookies' candidates to replace him According to Unibet UK, Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew is favourite to land the job at 3/1, followed by unemployed Steve Bruce at 6/1, Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe at 8/1 and Glenn Hoddle at 10/1. The full list of odds: Alan Pardew 3/1 Steve Bruce 6/1 Eddie Howe 8/1 Glenn Hoddle 10/1 Gareth Southgate 10/1 Jurgen Klinsmann 14/1 Alan Shearer 20/1 Arsene Wenger 22/1 Slaven Bilic 25/1 Roberto Mancini 25/1 Gary Neville 25/1 Harry Redknapp 25/1 Vincente Del Bosque 25/1 David Moyes 30/1 Claudio Ranieri 30/1 Mo more uninspiring than the choice of Allardyce was!

A far better performance & we deserved to win.
The two Poles made a big difference. Both should be automatic starters.

NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!!!!!!!
Only my opinion, but I would prefer for us to be the bottom division than have that man anywhere near the club I support!
West Brom are the dreariest team in the Premier & Stoke were dreary & thugs!
NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!!!!!!
Whisper it very quietly, but I would much prefer the return of Hughes. I even prefer the devil that is known as Harold!

I'm not sure what the correct term is marshbowles. It seems wrong to congratulate anyone on an inheritance.
So, I can only say good luck to yuo & use your money wisely!
IF Briatore was still here you would even have been able to buy a season ticket to watch his boutique club. Only for the one season though!

Really we threw away the Barnsley game and Preston...well the less said the less frustration. That's 6 points. Threw the game away at Barnsley? Are you sure? Yes we were winning after 75 minutes (from two penalties) but my understanding, from those that were present, was that Barnsley deserved the win. Therefore, a Rangers win would have been Barnsley threw the game away! I think it will be a big surprise if Barnsley are not in contention for the play offs all season. They are a decent team! The best they have had since they were "just like Brazil"! The Preston game is all that we have done wrong this season. Mind you, we ****** that up royally! The first half was the worst I've seen from us since at home to Bolton in 1970! It has been a good start. Long may it continue!

Didn't know anything about Matty Taylor, so hunted around a bit. He was League 2 Player of the year last season, with 28 goals and 9 assists. He was out of contract at the end of the season and was linked with Celtic, Hull, Leeds, Ipswich, Brentford, Birmingham and others before signing a new, undisclosed contract with Rovers in mid-July. £2.5m seems a lot for a player just promoted to League One, but I guess strikers will always command a premium. He's a good player ashdown. Maybe not quite ready to be THE goalscorer at Championship level, but he wouldn't be far short of that ability. Would £2.5 million be a risk? Possibly, but it could also be a bargain. This excires me far more than any other forward we have been linked with this summer.

He couldn't be in the Sunderland team though!
Cup tie him & then sell to your next opponents. Always a method to how our club works!

Charlie is light years better than Polter IMO. Having said that I don't think for one micro second that he'll be back at Loftus Rd Of course Charlie is a lot better goalscorer. BUT, could he form a partnership with Chery? If not, we would be worse off as a team with Charlie instead of Polt's.

I don't see how Duck Egg Blue could clash in anyway with Royle Blue. The same as City, Coventry etc. don't clash with Everton, Chesterfield etc.
I would also say that the current kit has enough blue in it for it not to clash with white shirts.
However, if we don't lose, I will accept us wearing any of the three kits!
i don't understand (apart from sales/marketing) why any club should require a third kit. You select two kits that could not possibly clash with opponents. As would be the case with our first & third choices this season!

Well done my team!
I expect it to be a bit more difficult at Barnsley, but we won't be giving anything easily away.

57.
I certainly think Chery has done enough to deserve a new contract.
It's not just his performance against Leeds. At the end of last season he had started to build his partnership with Polter & that is worth paying an insurance premiuum on!
BTW, Polt's should be rewarded as well. His current market value is probably the higher of the two, even though Chery is the better footballer. If I was in charge of the buying club, I would be prepared to pay more for Polter than McCormack or Bamford etc.
