Haven't seen lua lua play .. Could he play the Mackie role like against Reading? I think he's primarily a left winger which could be handy if we need to play 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 as we didn't really have the Wzsolek equivalent on that side but I think he can play up front as well. A lot happier with is signing then if he stays fit! 👍

WLS are reporting rumours that Stoke and Brighton are both interested in signing Ned who is in the last year of his contract. Reportedly we are in negotiations with him over a new contract. Given that he was given an increase in his last contract (to PL levels) I can imagine that our negotiations would involve asking him to take a pay cut which is always a tricky one especially as he is not getting any younger and will want to secure his long term future for the family. Questions: 1. Given the above would it be better for all concerned to let him go now for a small fee, giving him one more go at the PL and PL salary, reducing our wage bill in the process , rather than hanging on and potentially seeing him go for free at the end of the season ? 2. If he went would we need to replace him in this window ? Is this why he is starting to play well again? Contract time. Then if he does sign one here, back to business as per normal. Frankly, I would sell him. This ... It's not character but remember how happy I was about his signing but always felt there is a goal chance to opposition every time he plays! .. A good offer and thank him for his effort but would take there arm off if money was reinvested in the squad, especially the sort of players were bringing in recently.

Can only see Hoban as maybe Bogle coming in as the 1or 2 TF hinted at . Does that make us a little more happy or do we still think it's going to be a struggle?

Not bothered about being linked with another midfielder but has to be in the Derry'esque mould. So surprised we aren't after or being reported after a commanding centre back. Just shows the genius of the warlock bringing in those two old codgers Derry and Hill first time round , transformed us ... Adel too.

Smithies to Sunderland rumour coming up again online! .. No evidence but if interest does come then he'll go if money is right. Big club and would wish him well , I bet we will have to get used to losing our best players

Don't think jet is going anywhere soon on a permanent but El K will be off I bet but neither on wages of Caulker. Think Hoban and Yiadom could easily happen which would make me happier already. Our midfield has a lot of talent but no leader , Jedinak someone said, yes please and think our strikers have goals in them but please let us strengthen in defence 🙏🏻 Jedinaks an interesting one. Was supposed to Derby and Us interested and Derby picked up Huddlestone now. im surprised we are after Jedinak as isnt lad Scowen the same sort of player, tough tackling midfielder? Arent Huddersfield after Yiadom? Surely they will pay and offer a better package than us? 100million for getting in prem .. If they really wanted him they would have bought him by now , just my thoughts , I'm no ITK or anything but 1.5 million wouldn't break the bank

Thats good news, millions lost but needs to happen. Jet proving more difficult and El K I think is still with us ? West London Sport reporting that Caulker could be off on a free transfer with sell on clause.
Kind of trust there reports .Good move for all and could also be the reason for hesitance in transfers with fine hanging over us and him still here!
Ollie did say something along the lines of hoping for some things to be sorted soon and then new arrivals.

With reports now coming out about interest in Smithies and earlier reports about no enquiries , is someone trying to drum up business whether club or agent do you think?

Toughest Championship ever? No. Last season Newcastle and Brighton were the runaway favourites leaving only one place for everyone else to fight over. I don't see any certainties this season, it is far more open. Sunderland have given themselves a great chance by appointing Simon Grayson who has impressed me since his Blackpool team gave a thoroughly professional away performance at Loftus Road back in 2008(?), but who really wants to predict the three promoted teams? That's one way of looking at it but without some Stella acquisitions think we look in the weaker teams as also no obvious faves for relegation.

From westlondonsport www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/qpr-set-table-bid-barnsley-andy-yiadom-300617QPR set to table bid for Barnsley’s YiadomBy David McIntyre 29/06/2017 QPR are set to table a bid for Barnsley defender Andy Yiadom. The London-born former Hayes & Yeading player is among a number of full-backs Rangers have been considering making an offer for. They now intend to make a formal approach for Yiadom, 25, but expect Barnsley to be reluctant to sell. Several other clubs are understood to be interested in him. Barnsley are unhappy to lose Josh Scowen to Rangers, who will sign the midfielder when his Tykes contract expires this weekend. And QPR will also attempt to prise Ghana international Yiadom away from the Yorkshire club, who signed him from Barnet on a two-year contract in May 2016. One of the reasons Rangers want Yiadom is his versatility. Manager Ian Holloway wants to bring in players who can operate in different positions, particularly given the club’s current budgetary restrictions. Although primarily a right-back, Yiadom can also play at left-back or as a winger. I've not seen much of Yiadom but he sounds very versatile and it's not like we've got a bad record of picking up players formerly of Hayes & Yeading! Looks like Bidwell might well be funding a few player acquisitions and not all paper talk! ..

My point was more our position at the time but with key areas addressed the following season we were promoted with very little tinkering and not comparing the managers performance! ... I'm not saying we are going to be promoted but if Olly brings in the same calibre of player as he did in January then I'll be a lot more hopeful for the upcoming season

That's the reality of where we are Harr. Ollie has to strengthen the squad. With the financial constraints we're now operating under, that could be tricky - and maybe we just have to accept we're not going to be challenging for promotion anytime soon and hope we can at least hang on to our Championship status. New scouting setup, improved facilities (in the next couple of years hopefully) should be able to attract decent players. Amazing how things have changed though in recent months, only a few months ago Les saying playoffs were our target. Now it seems not finishing in the bottom three is our target. Instead of 70 points its now 50. When did this happen exactly? At present of course im in the stick with Ollie boat, which is probably something like 60/40 in his favour if we had a poll. However 20 + plus games of a point a game average, that would soon change to 40/60 or even far worse, so lets see how he starts the new season. De ja vu ... We are in a very similar situation as we were before Warlock:) added Hill and Derry . Think we are not that far from a good squad but with additions and commanders.

Think it's no coincidence that our form dipped when Hall was injured . He's our best defensive midfielder and defender, we really need another very capable defensive midfielder / centre back so we don't mis him so much.
January signings I was and still am very pleased with , so happy for Olly to work his magic again !
The squad is simply not strong enough in depth .. I still have faith in Olly to turn us around.

Sylla comes across on the field as a clown. Get rid of. Lose perch, ned, lynch and bidwell for starters. Lynch and Bidwell I don't understand.. Perch and Ned I understand but Bidwell?? Seriously .. Think he's great and would love a right sided defender as composed as him

We're most probably safe and olly is playing fringe players, what's wrong with that?
I knew Brighton were in the premier league prior to yesterday when confirmed! .. Do we really think we're in real danger of relegation?

I think either central commanding defender/midfielder as Hall can fill in either department but curious of others view but centre half feels more important (easy to say 20 goal a season striker) but goals contributed from midfield helps massively ..
Where do you think we need to strengthen?

Hopefully, Ollie is currently checking the schedule for flights to Rome and booking a one way ticket for Morrison! Should have subbed him off at half time, we were much better after Freeman came on. That Brighton injury stoppage completely took away or momentum. What he said but why must we move the ball with any intent when we go down to a goal .. Freeman is a total joy to watch and makes the team tick . Just hope a big offer doesn't come in the summer!

Good Derby side who nullified our threat.. Not surprised but showed where we are at the moment. Good side but but not higher echelons. We are as we were prior to this game, building a team but not unhappy as will strengthen in summer window!

This squad is as close to as good as I've ever seen since Gerry's team with Parker and McDonald at the back. I saw a report that we may be contenders next year because of run we're on and what Ollie can do with transfers in the summer(because of great Jan window). Just seen Ryan Bennett of Norwich is a free agent in the summer and with our frugal purchases would be a great addition.
Which position do you think we should add too and who?
LuaLua in aswell ... Afterthought but hope not for Ollie.
