0-0 HT. Brighton had the ball in the net twice in the half but each time off-sides. Fairly even first half with Brighton probably edging it on points. All to play for in the second half.
COME ON URRRRRRssssss!!!!!!

I know these teams we're playing are quite good, but I can't help but be so disheartened by our continued inability in attack, and this has been going on for ages. Aside from putting 5 past a Sunday league side a few weeks ago we just have zero cutting edge...nothing...zip! It is so frustrating. I'm so ready to start losing 4-3 every match instead of 1-0.

Doing better and playing better at 2-1 down. Washington missed a sitter and the ball movement encouraging. Can we get a draw?

Pretty sure I was at the match in 1957, when we last lost to Brighton. Don't have program though. I know someone who may. our historian, Bushman.

Hello Folks. I like the format of play in 3-4-1-2 but can't help feeling that right-mid is a completely wasted attacking position in the side. 1st half our 1 in Mid did nothing and looked like we playing with 10. Onuhua has no ability to anticipate a players movement with his soft flighted chips fwd & was out of position caused second goal all by himself. Lots of positives playing a decent side like Brighton but last 15 minutes must of been 20 pumped balls from the back to front circumnavigating the midfield - very poor strategy and holloway should teaching the players the concept of delay & patience and picking the right moment to send the ball into the box. Nice to see the side not holding back though...

Hopefully, Ollie is currently checking the schedule for flights to Rome and booking a one way ticket for Morrison! Should have subbed him off at half time, we were much better after Freeman came on.
That Brighton injury stoppage completely took away or momentum.

Hopefully, Ollie is currently checking the schedule for flights to Rome and booking a one way ticket for Morrison! Should have subbed him off at half time, we were much better after Freeman came on. That Brighton injury stoppage completely took away or momentum. What he said but why must we move the ball with any intent when we go down to a goal .. Freeman is a total joy to watch and makes the team tick . Just hope a big offer doesn't come in the summer!

I wouldn't read too much into that match. The team was set up to try to give Morrison a chance to show what he could do. Manning and Luongo covered the ground in the middle for him, Washington was forced to chase back down both wings leaving Smith isolated while Morrison just sat in the space that Hall expected to be occupying. Morrison repaid this team sacrifice by laying 3 yard passes back to Onuoha and 5 yard sideways ones to Hall. As Terry said during the match, we'd seen more attacking intent from Karl Henry. Ollie gave him his big chance and he didn't take it. Clearly, and understandably, his confidence is low, but he is still not fit. He has been with us for over two months and he is still not fit. That is simply not acceptable, he should be sent home now. The transformation when he was replaced was damning of what had gone on before.
As a long term critic of Onouha, I felt sorry for him when his one mistake cost us the match. His play in recent weeks has been a vast improvement on earlier this season, but, as with all of our players, that one costly error is always just below the surface.
