Disgusting from the club to treat a player like that because of THEIR ineptitude to create a proper contract. Disgraceful. Would you rather that we'd kept playing him and been lumbered with his wages for another season because of a clause which Green's agent would have insisted on?

Having worked forwards from the last published table, I think we are here. Bushman | 44 | Sharky | 32 | Blatant | 30 | Bowles | 30 | Finnmac | 29 | Kent | 29 | LR | 26 | Harr | 25 | Canada | 24 | No1 NZ | 23 | Gren | 22 | Loneg | 21 | StyleC | 21 | Roller | 21 | Macmoish | 19 | Fabs | 18 | timewaster | 18 |
Could be a little tricky catching Bushman now .....

And this, folks, is what you call BINGO! Awesome post, Roller. Awesome post by Clive He has another great line in his match report "He [Barton] passed to players wearing QPR shirts more in this match than any other in his career"

Really?
"There are few better personifications of the differences between the two clubs than Burnley’s Player of the Year elect, one Joey Barton. Everybody’s favourite political commentator spent four years at QPR during which time he, in no particular order: appeared on an indie music show denouncing the performance of a team mate who’d been outstanding before he arrived; was sent off in a crucial relegation six pointer at Hull for grabbing the testicles of an opponent; was sent off in a crucial promotion six pointer with Leicester for a combination of dissent and fighting with Gary Taylor Fletcher; was sent off in one of the most important games the club has ever faced for punching Carlos Tevez in the head after which he then started attacking other Manchester City players on his way off the field; was sent off in a crucial relegation six pointer at home to Norwich for aiming some sort of headbutt at Bradley Johnson; spent 20 minutes of an appearance on the unofficial QPR podcast moaning about the bonus structure he was expected to adhere to at Newcastle United; openly gloated about how much better training was under Mark Hughes immediately after the harsh sacking of Neil Warnock, one of only two managers to promote QPR to the top division in the last three decades; used his social media account to attack Rodney Marsh, one of QPR’s greatest ever players, while playing in a team that was bottom of the league; appeared on Question Time where he compared the choice of political parties at the general election to the choice of ugly women in a poor nightclub; said prior to QPR’s relegation, which occurred while he was on loan in the South of France, that he absolutely would not be going to the Championship with his parent club only to end up there because nobody else wanted him; openly touted for a move to Everton when it became clear Marseille didn’t want him permanently; set a club record for yellow cards in consecutive games (seven) and received 24 yellow cards across his final two seasons for the club resulting in three separate suspensions; appeared on Sky Sports after relegation was confirmed once again denouncing team mates and claiming there were bad apples in the changing room, prompting Graeme Souness to wonder aloud what on earth the captain had been doing all season and why he’d only felt the need to speak up once the club had already gone down…
Most importantly, having insisted on taking every single corner and free kick awarded to QPR while he was on the field for three years he succeeded in scoring just seven times (only one from a direct free kick, at Reading) and picking up 11 assists.
And yet still, despite all this, QPR made him their captain, and there are still supporters of the club now who’ll give it the “well at least he tried” bollocks. That’s how low our standards have been over the past few years."
Many thanks to Clive Whittingham for the summary of Barton's career at QPR.

I thought both sides were poor Sharky, neither could really string any passes together. Agree on the youngsters though.

Was a very late equliser in the 6th min of added on time! Burnley have all to play for and the Rs nothing, and Rs playing the youngsters. If this isn't a receipt for disaster, I haven't seen one! Not just youngsters though, plenty of experience in that team. I'd rather see Washington and El Khayati start, players with something to prove, not those seeing out time.

Part of QPR history., but has been a shiteehole for many a year!!! The only time I've ever been there was with you after whatever meeting it was at the club. It took me days to feel all right again afterwards, the beer was rank.

Unfortunately I've seen him; all too often last season.
For all those who doubt Les Ferdinand's suitability to his role, just remember he has managed to loan Caulker out twice, not only fully funded, but getting a loan fee as well!

Can a club of our size and in our financial position support justify having two keepers of their quality?
I wouldn't be surprised to see Smithies go over the summer.

Roller my assessment was not only from todays game but to be honest since JFH took over! I'm not saying it is only JFH fault it's not. The quality of a lot of the players is just not there! Agree it would be nice to see a bit more of Washington so we can see if he's any good and also Petrasso as I believe he could be a decent winger. But for me the likes of Luongo Gladwin Kpekwah El Khayati and Polter will not make us competitive in the Championship. Personally I'd like to see us invest in some Championship quality defenders because still to this day our best defender is 37 year old Clint Hill. I like Grant Hall but he hasn't been the same player since returning from injury but that could also be the effects of a long season for a young man. For him to improve he needs someone along side him who is going to help him develop. That is not Onuoha who is all over the place at the back and needs all his concentration to help him with his own game. How the guy is captain is beyond me! So now on to the bit where I expect to get the most abuse over! Ali Faulin! Love his work rate but for me his passing has been way below par this season and caused us to turn the ball over far to easy. If Henry had passed the ball as badly as Faullin he would have been slaughtered and booed off. But would be pleased to see him get another year. Think only Toszer's passing has been worse! Will be a lot leaving in the summer some players seem to have disappeared off the face of the earth! There is a lot to agree with, as well as a lot to disagree with. Defensively I couldn't agree more. Clint Hill on one leg is our best defender, but I maintain hope in Robinson, Hall and Kpewaka. This summer's most important signing will be a strong, experienced central defender to lead the team. Poor old Ned needs to go and find a new challenge, and one where his confidence is shattered on a regular basis by pushing him out to cover at full back. I believe that we can be competitive with Polter, El Khayati and Luongo, yet to be convinced by Gladwin but it is too early to write him off, he has not had much of a chance yet. We are poles apart on Faurlin. In my opinion he makes the team tick and we look so much better when he is playing, even on his poor days. I'd look for us to play a 4-2-3-1 next season. Back 4 of Robinson, Hall, New Leader and Furlong/Perch Defensive 2 of Faurlin/Luongo and New Destoyer/Doughty??? Attacking 3 of El Khayati, Chery and Washington Polter up top. Cover provided by Kpewaka, Hill, Gladwin, Petrasso. Clearly we need attacking cover, whether that is a new man or Polter with the new man ahead in the pecking order. I'd seriously consider offering Henry another season as he can offer cover both in midfield and right back (but not right wing!) I think that we'd be competitive, but it may require a change in mindset from the manager who is too safety first for my liking.

I think that is a slightly over the top assessment of an end of season friendly.
My biggest bugbear would be the lack of time given to Washington. The lad can play but he needs more than 10 minutes every-so-often.

80 pages on Stan for a fiver, who could ask for more?
I read some on the train on the way home and was immediately struck by the diversity of the pieces. Loved the article by Phil Beadle on his friend meeting Stan and great stuff from Gordon Jago on sneaking Stan out from under Palace's noses. Fabulous.

I just hope Hoos has taken into account that maybe as one of the London teams that has most recently been in The Premiership one of the reasons it's easy to get tickets for the R's is because of the facilities. This adds weight to the argument that we need a new stadium, but that argument doesn't need anymore weight. The argument that does is that it has to be Old Oak and not elsewhere in the borough, yet the Unigate dairy site still hasn't been developed yet and is sitting there half derelict. Lee Hoos seems to be the American version of Shane Warne. How many flats could you get on the Unigate site? And would there be room for a football stadium too?

QPR V READING: FEWER THAN 300 TICKETS REMAINLimited tickets left for clash with the Royals on Saturday ... FEWER than 300 tickets remain in the home sections for Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship fixture against Reading at Loftus Road. QPR host the Royals in W12 in their penultimate home fixture of the season. And R’s fans are advised to purchase their tickets ahead of matchday to secure their seat. www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/qpr-reading-tickets-championship-loftus-road-3073240.aspxI understand that Reading have both tiers at the school end, but still pretty impressive for a dead match.

This Saturday sees the publication of a special edition of AKUTR’s totally dedicated to the man voted QPR’s greatest ever player, Stan Bowles. The stunning list of guest writers show just how loved Stan still is, QPR alumni and celebrity fans including: Gerry Francis, Gordon Jago, much beleaguered former club secretary Ron Phillips, partner-in-mischief Don Shanks, Les Ferdinand, long term programme contributor Michael Wale, Stan’s daughter Tracey, John Byrne, ex-Home Secretary Alan Johnson, broadcaster Robert Elms and one-time Sex Pistol Glen Matlock. Professional writers such as The Guardian’s Ed Vulliamy also reflect on their memories of Stan, as do a number of the regular AKUTR’s contributors. Not does it promise to be an excellent read, but a substantial donation from the proceeds will be made towards Stan’s future needs. Further details of other fundraising initiatives for Stan and how to obtain a copy of this special edition by post will be available on www.stanbowles.co.uk shortly.
