. ..Clement or Pearson for me !!For the love of all that's good, why the hell would you want Pearson? That would be like wanting Trump to be President - that could NEVER happen...

I am quite expecting the candidates we wont want to actually happen, that way it will be an added bonus if we get someone I rate. Clement, Rowett still my top two, Holloway- been out the game a while but would accept him, probably would work well with Les, no question of his passion. Robinson- May be ok but a big gamble Sherwood - Not for me Cotterill - Not fussed but might work out. Pearson- At Leicester I must confess I did rate highly but after Derby and his baggage that comes with him, am going off the idea, not really what we need at this time. Freedman - No Powell-Did well for Charlton but a disaster at Huddersfield, not for me.
Probably know by tomorrow who it is, after Brexit, Trump and Honey G, it could well be Chris Ramsey until the end of the season again.
I miss Mrs Doubtfire

Rowett for me...young, now has experience of the championship with a very underfunded Brum and has done well to have them in contention past two seasons plus built the Burton team that got two promotions.

QPR want Birmingham boss Gary Rowett to be their next manager.
Rangers wanted Rowett, 42, before appointing Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink in December last year.
Rowett opted to stay at St Andrews, having also been pursued by Fulham, and QPR subsequently turned to Hassebaink, who was sacked on Saturday.
This time they hope to prise him away from Birmingham, where he previously spent two years as a player.
He took over as Blues boss after an impressive two-year spell at Burton, where he was succeeded, ironically, by Hasselbaink.
Rowett, whose playing career also included stints at Everton, Derby, Charlton and Burton, could be installed as QPR manager on Thursday.
Birmingham are currently seventh in the Championship table and finished 10th under Rowett last season.
Rangers have spoken to Ian Holloway, and he is seen as an increasingly attractive option by the club’s owners, who are aware of his popularity among many fans and are minded to turn to him if Rowett stays at Birmingham.

Holloway made more than 150 appearances as a player for QPR and led them to promotion from the third tier during a five-year spell as boss.
The 53-year-old was axed in 2006 and has since managed Plymouth, Leicester, Blackpool, Crystal Palace and Millwall. He currently works as a television pundit.
Former R’s midfielder and coach Marc Bircham, who was his right-hand man at Millwall, is likely to return to QPR if Holloway is appointed.
Tim Sherwood was immediately installed as the odds-on favourite for the job after Hasselbaink was axed at the weekend, but the former Tottenham manager has so far not been seriously in the running.

Sherwood, a close friend of Les Ferdinand who worked with the Rangers director of football during their time together at Spurs, was among a number of potential candidates the Rangers hierarchy discussed.
They have long been interested in ex-Derby manager Paul Clement, now assistant to Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti.
The 44-year-old son of former QPR and England right-back Dave Clement was lined up to take over at Loftus Road following the departure of Harry Redknapp in February 2015.
Clement had a short spell as Derby manager Clement had a short spell as Derby manager At the time he was with Ancelotti at Real Madrid and wanted to see out the remaining months of his contract at the Spanish club.
Chris Ramsey was therefore installed at QPR initially as a stop-gap, but impressed during the early stages of his time in charge and was given the job on a permanent basis.
Clement subsequently took over as manager at Derby, who sacked him in February this year with the club fifth in the Championship table.
He was on a shortlist drawn up by QPR after the decision to ditch Hasselbaink, but Rowett is the top target and Holloway has emerged as the preferred back-up option.
Steve Cotterill, briefly on the coaching staff at Rangers under Redknapp, wants the job but has not been considered so far.
Karl Robinson, who recently left MK Dons, wants the job too and was interviewed on Tuesday.
Dougie Freedman, who began his career at QPR, has also applied.

DMac reckons its going to be Holloway.
Rowett is first choice but I'd stay at Birmingham if I was him.

Why should Rowett leave Birmingham City? He has the chance to make it the no. 1 club in UK's second city.

Ollie's odds shortening even more this evening... Got to say, slightly apprehensive in terms of tactics and temperament (ie, working under pressure), but he'll sure get a buzz back at Loftus Road. Happier with Ollie than Sherwood any day of the week though.

Yes for sure. Rather had Clement or Rowett but can understand Both have good jobs so doubtful if will come to us, so Ollie would have my backing. If he bought Bircham in as number 2 would be ok with that. Holloway would be much cheaper than Sherwood I reckon and if we have to pay off Rowett that might be an issue?

Please not Holloway , that ship sailed long ago and was it really that great in the championship with him last time ? Has walked out on last 2 jobs as well hasn't he ? Stick with the Sky job ! This is just people's hearts ruling their heads ain't it ? I know I said Pearson earlier , but would a nutter like him be out of place in the QPR madhouse ?

I was gutted and disgusted when Holloway was Axed. And I'm ever grateful for what he did.
But that was then - 10 years ago.... If QPR were mired in relegation place - and we couldnt- get Warnock, I'd accept Holloway
But otherwise no...Going backwards

From the Scottish Sun www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/sport/spl/aberdeen/7259579/Aberdeen-boss-Derek-McInnes-a-shock-contender-for-QPR-job.htmlAberdeen boss Derek McInnes a shock contender for QPR jobDerek McInnes is a shock target for QPR EXCLUSIVE By ROGER HANNAH 08:01, 10 Nov 2016 ABERDEEN boss Derek McInnes has emerged as a shock contender for the QPR job. SunSport understands the Championship outfit have been impressed by his work at Pittodrie, including one League Cup win and a final appearance later this month. QPR have yet to approach the Dons for permission to speak to McInnes who had a previous spell in England at Bristol City. Former QPR gaffer Ian Holloway is poised to be interviewed by a three-man selection panel, headed by director of football Les Ferdinand. But it’s believed that Ferdinand and Loftus Road chief executive Lee Hoos have placed McInnes on a list of contenders to replace axed Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. Tim Sherwood, Karl Robinson, Paul Clement, Steve Cotterill and former Scotland striker Paul Dickov have all been linked to the vacancy. Holloway is popular among QPR fans, having enjoyed five years as a player at Loftus Road, and five more as gaffer. Sherwood, the former Spurs boss and a close pal of Ferdinand, is also in the running, but may prove too expensive for a club languishing 17th in England’s second tier. McInnes has led the Dons to second place in the Premiership and a League Cup Final against Celtic this month.

....and then this from the Evening Express www.eveningexpress.co.uk/fp/aberdeen-fc/dons-say-no-approach-qpr-mcinnes1/ABERDEEN SAY NO APPROACH FROM QPR FOR DEREK MCINNESBY CHARLIE ALLAN, 10 NOV 2016 09:17 The Dons today confirmed there has been no official approach from Queens Park Rangers for manager Derek McInnes. The club refused to comment further in the wake of reports the English Championship side have placed McInnes, pictured, on a list of possible candidates to succeed Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, who was sacked at the weekend. The English editions of the same newspapers claim Tim Sherwood will be appointed as QPR’S manager within the next 24 hours. They also link Ian Holloway, Karl Robinson, Paul Clement, Steve Cotterill and Paul Dickov with the job. McInnes had a spell in England managing Bristol City before joining the Dons in 2013 and leading them to League Cup glory the following year. He was unavailable to comment.

Just don't understand why Rowett would want to come here and leave Brum behind, where's the incentive?
If we can't get the right person in for the medium term, then maybe you bring in 'feel good' people like Holloway on a short term basis and then see where we're at come summer? Still wish we'd stuck it out a bit longer, this whole manager changing thing is more stressful than I remember.

If we can't get our top target (Rowett?) now, I'd like to see Holloway come in until the end of the season to steady the ship so to speak. They could then take their time to find the right manager who can take over. Can't see that happening though.

I don't understand why the club go thru this process of conducting all these interviews and still end up with the wrong 1st team coach, plus they interview someone like ollie who has crashed out of the last three clubs he has managed/coached clearly he is not a suitable choice.
JFH went thru the same process and was a near disaster which has cost the club a lot of goodwill from fans, were all the other candidates that bad or worse. Pick your man and go after them, and if that fails go after your next target and be prepaired to throw some money at it.
