I didn't think he was that great. Not for us anyway.

Yeah, I think "sensation" is laying it on a bit thick. insidefutbol.com/2023/05/02/club-deny-contact-from-rangers-over-star/601917/Familiar pattern - Beale blabs off about who he is tapping up. A close insider leaks the story. The player's club deny all knowledge. Rangers deny any interest in the player. Beale gives yet another interview.... For such an honest straight forward chap, he is so misunderstood and maligned.

I note that Tyler Dickinson - ex-QPR keeper is also on the released Wycombe list. Has struggled and replaced by Stryjek who has done well. Stryjek has just signed a contract extension with Wyciombe - but I would not be surprised if Ainsworth went back foe him if both Archer and Diemg depart. Regan Poole would be a good signing - he has been Lincoln's captain. Would get higher wages elsewhere, but more likely to play regularly ay a club like ours. The list of QPR's released players is due out today.

Very early days and no doubt some clickbait or agent talk starting but from the get names mentioned so far I am not seeing anything other than putting together a team in Ainsworth own image for a relegation battle.
The released list today will be the first thing to look at to know what we have as a base to build around and what positions we need to fill urgently .
Then comes the long wait into the start of next season for offers to come in on some we still have under contract - until the window closes everyone will have to keep guessing.
Interesting comments from Beal about GR's lack of a focal point up front , effort and goal scoring with some cutting remarks about individual players - similar to some comments he made about our players just before he left and the decline had started. Maybe he will see Dykes as the man to give him a focal point and the effort but would he be a regular goal scorer? In the comfort of a better team and weaker opposition maybe he can be a goal scorer.

Dykes is more of an assister than goal scorer though. Thats his strength. Agreed ...so why have so many people been complaining about his lack of goals? Even then he is still our top scorer for the season with 8 in 40 games and only credited with 3 "assists". To get the most out of Dykes he has to be alone up front and 2 goalscoring no10's behind. We had that at the start of season with Chair and Willock banging in them but then it all dried up with Willock out Chair underperforming and maybe wrong tactics. Judging by Beales comments he sees he has the same problem as we have had and needs a new front line not just one signing.

I’m sure Dykes could easily get 20 a season every season in that league , such is the gap between the top two and the rest of the league. I mean it’s not really a challenge for the Managers of Rangers and Celtic is it. Your basically guaranteed the points every week until you play each other and so far Celtic hold that trump card.

For the third year running, we are telling the club to sign some strikers (Not 34 year old never was beings either) and for the third year running our muppet DOF will ignore us.

The only rumours I am reading about are Dieng to Reims and an out of contract right -back, Sean Clare, most recently with Charlton.

With our board and GA in charge, i have zero confidence in any change from last season. Maybe we could start the relegation battle a lot earlier than last season, just to build the tension.

To each their own, but its not as though we haven't been here before and will no doubt be here again in the future. For me its glass half full, looking forward to next year. We won some games against the top teams, we know GA will want passion from his team so hope it will be more exciting, I hope the players respond in putting up a fight. I would rather be ugly and passionate and win, than play pretty football and lose. Just look at what Luton and Coventry did by playing passionate, pressing football. In the main they bullied teams (Including us) and were hard to play against.

And now GA wants his old players pmsl, it gets worse. Still i am not surprised as they all seem to do this, even when the players are nothing special. Carry on.

In the main they bullied teams (Including us) and were hard to play against. Same here. You can keep your 70% possession, with 90% of that coming from sideways passes in your own half. I would just love to see a QPR team with players who will run until they drop and with the kind of mentality where they are prepared to lose a tooth to take out an opponent's eye. That, rather than this nonsensical, weak set of allegedly skillful players who look to find a soft spot to lie down in and hide as soon as they come across the slightest hint of adversity. It really doesn't matter how pretty your passing game is. If you're losing every weekend then what good is it doing you?
