QPR looking towards Man Utd in audacious transfer move Posted On Saturday, December 3, QPR are interested in signing Manchester United midfielder Darron Gibson as Sir Alex Ferguson looks to sell his fringe players. Reports are suggesting that as many as six players in order to free up squad places for new arrivals and sees Darron Gibson as expendable, alerting Neil Warnock to the 24-year-old’s availability. Gibson has represented Manchester United 30 times since he emerged from the youth set up at United and has enjoyed two successful loan spells at Royal Antwerp and Wolverhampton Wanderers however in recent games the Irish midfielder has come under criticism and its thought that QPR could be prepared to offer Gibson first-team football that he needs to ensure he gains a place in the Republic of Ireland squad for Euro 2012. The 24-year-old could be available for a cut price of £3 million in January but its thought that Everton and Newcastle are also interested in the player. www.footylatest.com/qpr-looking-towards-man-utd-in-audacious-transfer-move/25787

Another midfielder?? The only reason I can see us getting a player like Gibson is that we are going to sell Faurlin!
We need CB's, wingers and strikers NW, not another CM

OMG if we signed Gignac I would go mental!! What a player he is. Never thought I would have heard our name wing linked with such a quality player. I watch the French Ligue 1 week-in week-out, and Gignac is totally out of form! He is fat and his confidence is very low. Not sure he's worth a multi-millions deal as now...

Fair enough, haven't watched him for a few seasons and back then he was really good. Got a bit over excited there haha

QPR enter Malaysian market for Mohd Safiq Rahim 03 December 2011 - 10:27 GMT, by Conroy Sanders
Queens Park Rangers could make a surprise entry into the Asian transfer market with a move for Selangor midfielder Mohd Safiq Rahim. The Malaysian national team captain is very highly rated in his home country, and QPR could make a shock move in January.
QPR chairman and owner Tony Fernandes has decided that he must improve the commercial and financial reach of the club into Asia in order to make his team a success.
Tony Warnock has been recommended Rahim by Fernandes' representatives, and the player will arrive on trial in January to spend time with the first team.
Whether or not the player will be part of the first team squad remains to be seen, but the 24 year old has been a goalscoring revelation for his Malaysian side, where he plays in attacking midfield and not only does he contribute with assists, but in front of goal as well.
Selangor value the midfielder at around 300,000 GBP but a trial period is expected prior to any permanent deal.

Need a left sided midfielder, Although Mackie doing a great job we need that extra firepower. I think Chris Brunt and Junior Hoilett are not beyond us. Also Onuoha and Bassong are a must as well as either Defoe or Hooper.

www.footylatest.com/swansea-and-qpr-casting-their-eye-over-barcelona-reserve-striker/25823?Swansea And QPR Casting Their Eye Over Barcelona Reserve Striker Posted On Monday, December 5, 2011Tags: Qpr News, Qpr Transfer News, Swansea News, Swansea Transfer News Barcelona B striker Jonathan Soriano is nearing a switch to the Premier League according to reports in Spain with Swansea and QPR both thought to be interested. Soriano signed for Barcelona’s reserve team in 2009 from Espanyol, though he has only made one appearance for the first team back in 2009, he has been prolific for the Barcelona B scoring 54 goals in 74 appearances for the Catalonian club but with his contract set to expire in the summer, its thought that Barcelona are keen to off-load the player for a fee rather than see him leave for nothing. QPR are said to be monitoring the progress of the 26-year-old but Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers has reportedly sent scouts to Spain to watch Soriano with a view to making a permanent move in January. Soriano is thought to be interested in taking the next step in his career with a move to the Premier League and its thought that QPR are the front-runners in the race to sign him and a bid of around £2 million could see the player move.

West ham have beaten QPR to the signing of rookie Pelly Ruddock from non-league Boreham Wood. Upton Park boss Sam Allardyce invited the midfielder for a trial recently and was impressed enough to give him a two-and-a-half year contract at the east London club. Ruddock, 17, had caught the eye of numerous scouts and QPR were also joined by Reading in the hunt for his signature. But the youngster only wanted to move to West Ham and he put pen to paper on his first professional contract on Monday.

Barcelona second-string striker Soriano opens the door to QPR, Swansea or Wigan QPR, Swansea and Wigan are in the running for Barcelona B striker Jonathan Soriano, who has suggested he is willing to move abroad. The 26-year-old Spaniard has decided he has no chance of breaking into the Catalan superstars' first team, despite shining for their second string in the Segunda Division. The Barclays Premier League trio face competition for Soriano, who has attracted interest from French giants Marseille, according to the striker's agent Jose Maria Orobitg. But the Ligue 1 side have not yet done a deal for Soriano, a former Spain Under 21 forward who has also played for La Liga side Espanyol. French connection: Soriano (centre) has also attracted interest from Marseille 'Marseille are among the teams interested, but there is nothing concrete,' Orobitg told Spanish media. 'Jonathan has not extended his contract and if he leaves, would prefer to go abroad.
