Haha, must be one of the shortest new year resolutions ever 57!
Back on the transfer news, and given our performance against Cardiff, I've come up with a cunning plan for our buying policy in this window:
Adam Smith (Bournemouth) Brad Smith (Bournemouth) Tom Smith (Huddersfield) Tommy Smith (Ipswich) Korey Smith (Bristol City) Eric Smith (Knorrkoping) John Smyth (formerly Dundalk, now a free agent)

Well its pretty obvious now Yeni, Borysuik and Goss dont feature in Ollies plans.
Wouldnt be surprised to see the three go this window. JET in the Summer I guess unless they can release him this window.
Possibly Washington too.

May be wide of the mark but if we are basically just offering JET out cheap to get him off the books, I wouldn't be surprised if something weird happened and he ended up in Turkey or Thailand...or money bags Billericay...

It's official Yeni off to France. From the Offie www.qpr.co.uk/news/club-news/ngbakoto-leaves-qpr-for-guingamp/Ngbakoto leaves QPR for GuingampIan Taylor @ijtaylor81 DR CONGO winger Yeni Ngbakoto has today joined French Ligue 1 side Guingamp for an undisclosed fee. The 25-year-old joined the R’s in August 2016 and scored on his debut against Swindon Town in the first round of the League Cup. The midfielder netted four times in 28 appearances last season and won the R’s goal of the season competition for his stunning free-kick in the 4-1 win against Birmingham City at St. Andrews back in February 2017. He’s featured eight times this season, meaning he made a total of 36 appearances, scoring five goals, during his 18 months in W12. Everyone at QPR would like to wish Yeni all the best with his new club Guingamp, who are currently eighth in Ligue 1

Online reports/gossip...
Ngbakoto - reports suggest we got £1.5m for him - although another 'ITK' says (from reading French press reports) that we got £3.5m.
Sean Goss - expected to have a medical at (Glasgow) Rangers today ahead of a season-long loan deal.

It's now confirmed that Goss has signed on loan for Glasgow Rangers.
£1.5m for Yeni would be good, but £3.5m? That would be the best sale ever made by Rangers!

Financially to my knowledge/assumption we only have 2 players still on PL rate contracts. Ned and Robinson - makes you think. If Sylla is sold as some suggest how do we replace him.? Get rid of Washington and maybe we then have budget to get in a striker - but who?

Roy Krishna from the Wellington Phoenix. A Fiji Indian whom has an excellent motor on him and an eye for goal hence his "song" is:
Your defence is terrified, Krishna's on fire, Your defence is terrified, Krishna's on fire, Your defence is terrified, Krishna's on fire.

The 22-year-old, who has made just three starts and three substitutes' appearances for the Hoops since his switch from Manchester United in January 2017, has agreed a deal with the Scottish Premiership side until the end of the season. Apparaently no option to buy? So sending him out to get game time. More likely sending him out to get his wage off the books. He has been with us for long enough with different coaches without making the breakthrough so I think he has no future with us.
Pity about Yeni - he is a talented player but would never fit in the Ollie mode style of play. The type who could be unnoticed for 99% of a game then win it with one touch. Still hopefully we did not make a loss on his transfer and his wage is off the book.
I would like to see Washington go next rather than Sylla but it all depends on who if anyone we can get in up front.

Going by what Les F said, I wouldn’t rule out us keeping Goss a bit longer, maybe 18-19 season. Borysuik will be off and like you believe Sylla or Washington will go.

From getwestlondon www.getwestlondon.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/transfer-talk-qprs-former-tottenham-14112006Transfer talk: QPR's former Tottenham youngster Charlie Owens being lined up for potential January loan moveThe 20-year-old, who joined the Hoops from Tottenham Hotspur last summer, has been a regular in Paul Hall's under-23s side this term, with the young side sitting second on the league. By Phil Spencer 11:42, 4 JAN 2018 QPR youngster Charlie Owens is being lined up for a potential loan move in the January transfer window, according to GetWestLondon sources. The 20-year-old, who joined the Hoops from Tottenham Hotspur last summer, has been a regular in Paul Hall's under-23s side this term, with the young side sitting second on the league. While he's enjoyed the experience in the youth ranks, it's thought that the next step for Owens is to challenge himself in the professional game. It's thought that contact is being made with a number of clubs in League One and League Two about Owens, but it's understood that a move is unlikely before the end of the month. QPR's Les Ferdinand says former Manchester United youngster Sean Goss's loan move to Rangers won't turn permanent The benefits of a loan move are clear for all to see at Loftus Road, with the club welcoming Ebere Eze back to the club after a successful loan spell at League Two side Wycombe Wanderers. Eze made a real impression during his time with the Chairboys, and after returning to QPR it's expected that he will get his chance to impress Ian Holloway in the first team over the coming weeks.

Seriously though if we need a few more players out before we can get one or two in how about putting Manning and Furlong out on loans with a recall clause.
End of last season Manning was being touted as the next best thing to sliced bread and to be the star of the championship this season - hardly gets a look in and is well down the pecking order now. Furlong also when he was recalled from his loan last January showed promise and was Ollies flavour of the month - for a month - but even with our injuries in defence this season he is not being used.
If we have to cut our cloth these are the sorts we should loan out now and let them get some game time. If we stay up and strengthen they can go end of season. If we are relegated maybe they have a place next season at a lower level. Just a discussion point.

Snippets of JET to Rotherham, searches for Pray Emoji. Could make sense - The Ipswich striker Moore on loan at Rotherham has been recalled and is being sold to Peterborough. So the good news is Rotherham need a striker and may take JET The bad news is that if Peterborough buy Moore who has scored 13 goals this season will they want Washington back.
Maybe we missed a trick here - send Washington and JET to Rotherham and loan Moore from Ipswich. These transfer windows are great for keeping the brain cells ticking over.

Lewis Grabban has cut short his loan spell at Sunderland after the change in manager. On one hand this may put a question mark over his commitment but on the other hand we could do far worse than get him on loan for the rest of the season. 12 goals in 20 games for struggling Sunderland - what could he do with our midfield creating chances for him. " Striker Lewis Grabban has returned to Bournemouth after he told Sunderland he wanted to end his season-long loan deal at the Stadium of Light.
Grabban, 29, was the top scorer during his five months with the Championship side, netting 12 goals in 20 games.
His last Black Cats appearance came with a goal in the 1-1 home draw with Birmingham on 23 December.
"Lewis informed us of his desire to leave and we wish him well," said Sunderland boss Chris Coleman.
"Throughout my time at the football club I have continually reiterated that I only wish to work with players who want to be here and work hard for Sunderland."
Grabban joined Sunderland in July 2017 when Simon Grayson was in charge, having had a similar loan spell with last season's play-off finalists Reading.

OK, panic over maybe. The offish explains it differently, saying that: "...Ingram joined the League One Cobblers on a season-long loan in August, but QPR have exercised their option to recall him early."www.qpr.co.uk/news/club-news/ingram-lumley-loans/

This has allowed Lumley to go to Blackpool on loan, as the above link says. Good for Lumley to get some first teams games.

No - he is going to play upfront against Burton after Smith pulled a muscle in training yesterday and Sylla is still out of the country and Washington is having a break.
Keep it quiet though - he's Ollies surprise selection to confuse Burton's game plan.
Having watched the MKDons game again on video (I like the pain) I'm sure even JET would have put away a couple of the chances we missed from less than 5 yards.
I'm not concerned about JET going - more interested to see if we can sign a goal scorer this window.
