What do you think the club's PR strategy is here? Because whilst there's paper talk, most of the stories on who's effectively for sale (though I imagine we'd hear offers for anyone) are going straight to West London Sport, which in turn implies that it's information being handed out fairly directly by the club surely? That's where the first Chery, Polter, Henry etc. stories appeared and Dave Mac is pretty well-sourced.

That would be great - his salary alone could probably pay for 2 new players of the type/budget we're looking at these days.

Not us linked but some QPR fans might be hoping? Not sure what the attraction would be for signing for Wigan?

Funnily enough, I think I'd quite like having Morrison back - on the proviso Ollie can get him to behave.
Great skills/creativity, temperament a bit suspect... it would certainly be a gamble.
Given the publicity he's had concerning his unhappiness at being in Italy and wanting to come home, maybe being back in London would focus his mind - perhaps a loan deal for the rest of the season, with the prospect of a contract if he does well.

westlondonsport's piece on Sandro www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/sandro-turkish-club-latestSandro in talks with Turkish clubBy David McIntyre 04/01/2017 Sandro is in talks with Turkish club Osmanlispor ahead of a possible move. QPR will not ask for a fee for the Brazilian midfielder and are desperate for him to find a club rather than continue paying his huge wages for the remaining months of his contract, which expires in the summer Sandro has had fitness issues since his £6m move from Tottenham in 2014 and has started only 29 league matches for the R’s. Several previous efforts to find him a new club failed, but there has been interest in him in recent weeks and as a result there is much more of an expectation than during previous windows that he will move on. Rangers held talks with intermediaries from the Chinese Super League about Sandro in October. So far there though has been no sign of firm interest from Chinese clubs – instead it is Tjaronn Chery who has attracted a lucrative offer from the Far East.

Apparently Bamford is going to be recalled by Chelsea from Burnley and sent back out on loan again. We usually get linked but he never comes .........

Will Ollie take a chance on Ravel? No IMO. Too much of a risk. I wasn't blown away by him during his time with us and I think when you've got someone coming from Lazio and only really Wigan and us are being linked it should set alarm bells ringing. I don't doubt he could be very useful given the right direction and coaching, but personally think he's a nasty piece of work and wouldn't like him at the club. We're likely to take risks this window, but I'd rather not be taking risks on someone who's got such a long track record of being a disruptive, homophobic idiot.

I remember this lad was on trial with us in the summer, i dont think he was considered good enough for our Under 18's squad? Maybe Middlesbrough see something different? Anyone think we could lose anybody other than these this window.... Chery Sandro Caulker Poulter Henry I guess Smithies is a possibility This may not be the case anymore, but I imagine with FFP and all that hanging over us, we'd be forced to listen to an offer for any of our squad, no matter how important, if it's a significant wedge . I agree that that list looks the most likely in terms of people the club seem to want to sell. I'd be really surprised if we didn't get some offers for Hall and Smithies. Scary. Difficult thing is that if we're billing ourselves as an attractive step-up/proving ground for talent from Europe/lower leagues, the downside is that if players do well then we can't be seen to hoard them if good offers come in unfortunately.

Yeah its horrible with the vultures circling for best players every window now, same for all the other teams though I guess apart from the big boys. Losing Chery one of our best players will be a blow. Hope we can retain the others like Hall, Smithies, Luongo etc Suppose the positive on Chery though is we make 2 million profit or something close.

Grabban may not be for sale, having only joined Bournemouth a year ago. But if he is available, I think he's the kind of experienced, 'done-it-in-the-Championship' player we need.

I guess that could depend on if Poulter goes home etc ? He is certainly the kind of player we need to be looking at. The Leagues second lowest scorers, we need more goals this year.

From the Huddersfield Daily Examiner www.examiner.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/huddersfield-town-transfer-rumours-latest-12409704Huddersfield Town transfer rumours latest: Club have sell-on clause for QPR's Alex SmithiesThe 26-year-old goalkeeper is being tipped to join Aston Villa after a string of fine Championship performances this season BY DOUG THOMSON 13:00, 5 JAN 2017 UPDATED 13:31, 5 JAN 2017 Huddersfield Town stand to cash in if former keeper Alex Smithies leaves Queens Park Rangers for Aston Villa. The club have a sell-on clause on the academy product who moved to West London in a near £2m move in August 2015. Villa’s former Town boss Steve Bruce is reportedly keen on Smithies, and could splash £4m on the 26-year-old. although he has already brought in Sam Johnstone on loan from Manchester United. Town would benefit from any profit made by QPR, although the exact percentage remains confidential. Smithies has totted up 44 appearances for the Loftus Road club, having played 274 times for Town. He made his debut at 17 and was the hero of the League One play-off final win over Sheffield United at Wembley in 2012.

From westlondonsport www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/second-club-come-qpr-manSecond club come in for QPR manBy David McIntyre 05/01/2017 A second Turkish club have made an approach to sign Sandro. The QPR midfielder has received an offer from Osmanlispor and is now also set to hold talks with Antalyaspor, who have expressed an interest. Any such negotiations should maybe included Omar Bogle? The striker is attracting a lot of interest, we are meant to be 'watching' him. He could be the next Scott Hogan? Only 24 and a 1 in 2 goal scoring record, Grimsby have just signed another 23 year old striker, maybe as his replacement? I say go get him Les, especially if they want Comley, but then again how good is this kid?

Where we are in the table wont help us get new players in though, surely. 5th favourites to go down. I know Ollie said winning those 2 games was massive in getting us new players but the damage in those 6 straight defeats means we are not comfortably mid table and still drifting around and five points above relegation.
Surely would have been better if we were 10-12th and could have sold the chance of play offs card.
