From itv www.itv.com/news/update/2016-12-25/hill-bemused-by-qpr-return-rumours/Hill bemused by QPR return rumoursRangers defender Clint Hill claims there is little chance he will make a return to QPR next summer. The veteran centre-back, 38, has been linked with move back to his former employers once his Ibrox deal expires next summer. But he admitted: "I don't know where that story has come from. Maybe they needed to fill some space in the paper and they have put that in. "I've not heard anything and I'd be very surprised if it did come off because four or five months ago I was released by QPR. "I've not had any thoughts about next season. I'm too old to even think about that. "I try to take each game as it comes. I don't know what the situation is next season. I'll see how the body is and how it repairs and then judge from there."

From espn www.espnfc.co.uk/story/3027660/swansea-want-to-sign-steven-caulker-from-queens-park-rangers-sourcesSwansea want to sign Steven Caulker from Queens Park Rangers - sourcesSwansea City are lining up a move to bring defender Steven Caulker back to the Liberty Stadium, sources close to the Welsh club have told ESPN FC. Swansea, who sacked manager Bob Bradley on Tuesday, have the worst defensive record in the Premier League and are languishing second from bottom of the table. The Swans have conceded 41 goals in 18 games, with the side shipping 29 of those goals in Bradley's 11 games in charge, and they are looking at defensive reinforcements to try to shore up their porous defence. Queens Park Rangers defender Caulker has emerged as a top target after impressing in a loan spell at Swansea from Tottenham Hotspur in the 2011-12 season. Caulker, who turns 25 on Thursday, made 26 appearances to help keep the club up in their first season in the Premier League and established himself as one of the best young centre-backs in the country. After leaving Swansea, Caulker joined their arch-rivals Cardiff City for one season before then making the move to Queens Park Rangers. But his career has stalled after QPR's relegation to the Championship and he endured two unsuccessful loan spells at Southampton and Liverpool last season. Caulker has made 14 appearances for QPR so far this season, but with the club struggling at the wrong end of the Championship they could consider cashing in on the player to fund signings in the January transfer window.

QPR, Wigan and Barnsley have also sent scouts to watch the 23-year-old reach double-figures for the season so far. The ex-Republic of Ireland international has a long-term deal at the New Den, expiring in two-and-a-half years. But second-tier clubs will try to tempt Neil Harris into selling with bids of £750,000 when the transfer window opens. O’Brien had loan spells at Crawley, Torquay, Aldershot, Staines and Hayes & Yeading before returning to Millwall and scoring 13 goals in all competitions last season. This campaign he reached double figures with his goal in the 3-1 win over Charlton on December 21.

From getwestlondon www.getwestlondon.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/transfer-news-qpr-eye-middlesbrough-12371655Transfer news: QPR eye Middlesbrough striker - and it’s not Jordan Rhodes Rangers need frontmen says the gaffer - and one with particular qualities like Boro's man BYPAUL WARBURTON 10:22, 28 DEC 2016 UPDATED 10:25, 28 DEC 2016 The 31-year-old Middlesbrough striker ticks the boxes needed to turn round a wretched run of six without a point in which Hoops have scored just once - and that a consolation in a 2-1 home defeat to Wolves. Defeat to Brighton yesterday merely compounded what everyone knows at Loftus Road. The world and his Football League wife would like Boro striker Jordan Rhodes in the January window, but a £60k-a-week wage packet along with different Rs needs suggest Nugent on loan could be a better fit. The former Leicester hit man has a pedigree for holding the ball up in attack that brings other midfielders into play, and Rangers have a fair few. Rhodes is very similar to Conor Washington at QPR in that both can run on to balls slipped in behind the defence and one-on-one are terrific strikers. Rangers are determined to turn Washington’s form around after his £2m move from Peterborough in January, despite scoring only twice in 38 league matches. Nugent, like Rhodes, is behind the Boro pecking order in attack, and has notched only 39 Premier League minutes this season, scoring once, ironically against Rs neighbours Fulham in the EFL Cup in August.

The Dons and Cobblers are reportedly in the market for the QPR midfielder’s signature, with the Daily Mail and HITC Sport reporting that the two clubs and their fellow League One side Peterborough United had interests in the teenager. 21-year-old Comley has been on loan from QPR to League Two side Grimsby Town. His loan deal is set to expire in January. Comley joined QPR as a schoolboy back in 2005, working his way through their youth system until he signed a professional deal with the club in 2014. He has made one appearance for the West London club, which came in the Premier League during a 5-1 loss to Leicester City on the final day of the 2014-15 season. No rumour. Just a wish from me.
Matt Taylor at Bristol Rovers please.
I was told in the summer (on boards, not by anyone ITK) that he wouldn't score goals above Division 2. Well, 18 already in Division 1 would rather contradict that!
He is one of those natural goalscorers that are so rare to get your hands on. Probably now in the region of £3 million, so we may have to sell first.

There is a post on LFWs from a Millwall supporter talking about rumours that they are signing Henry and that we are in for Lee Gregory. Could we pay them to take him? Sorry but he is on the wrong side of 30 for a midfielder. There are not many that still have the legs. Of course a few exceptions, Ray Wilkins was one for sure.

We need to offload Caulker, Henry and Sandro. El Khyati and Gladwin may have to go too as well as one or two like Comley who are out on loan if they are not in Ollie's first team plans. A good offer for Smithies may have to be accepted too if we need to raise funds for replacements - but only because Ingram is a really good keeper too. In: we need a leader (probably in midfield) and how about Peter Crouch? Would be a real handful for a season and a half in this league and would keep us up, plus teach Sylla and Polter a few tricks of the trade. But now playing for Stoke so would they release him?

I wouldnt mind those first 5 going at all Salts, If we can not get an offer or loan on Sandro or Caulker then keep them until June, I think Sandro contract expires in June though, so wont get a penny for him unless he goes Jan. Not sure when Caulkers runs out, may be same as Sandro? Remember we still another year on JET after this season too?

How many central midfielders will we have to sign before we get it right...
Luongo Gladwin Cousins Borysiuk Chery Sandro
Meanwhile we make due with Perch at RB with Chief playing out of position there again and again. Maybe the return of Furlong is a sign that will change. And we lack width, especially on the left IMO. Wszolek looks like he might do well on the right, but on the left we have what? ELK? Shodipo, but they don't seem like they're ready to let him really have a run of games though he has shown promise.

I would imagine we will try to keep Luongo aswell if we can. Sandro is well overdue to leave, Chery appears not be the type we want and Gladwin is League One at best. These three could leave tomorrow without a sigh from me. Chief can go too.

They have been linked to him under Paul Lambert and also in 2015 a bid was made and rejected by FC Groningen. He subsequently moved to QPR on a three-year deal in July, 2015. Now, his move to Loftus Road has turned sour and it seems he will be on his way in the January window. Sky Sports are reporting that the club have been approached by two clubs, Wolves and Villa are known to be admirers. He has not been involved with the QPR first team in recent games and the Sky sources suggest a departure is imminent. The rumour mill is in full swing!

From westlondonsport www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/qpr-want-to-sign-brighton-winger-kazenga-lualua-on-loanQPR want to sign Brighton winger on loanBy David McIntyre 03/01/2017 QPR are looking to sign Kazenga LuaLua on loan from Championship leaders Brighton. The Congolese winger, 26, has made only two league appearances for Brighton this season and is available for a move. His last league outing for the Seagulls came against his former club Newcastle in August. LuaLua, whose brother Lomana also had a spell at Newcastle, was with the Magpies as a teenager and made eight league appearances – all as a substitute – before signing for Brighton in 2011 after impressing during three loan spells on the south coast. He played 22 times for Chris Hughton’s side last season. Ian Holloway is keen for LuaLua to play on the left flank for QPR for the rest of the campaign. The Rangers boss is looking to revamp his squad during this month’s transfer window. Holloway has had a fall-out with Karl Henry, who has been told he can leave, while Tjaronn Chery has had a transfer request granted by the club.

QPR will listen to offers for Polter
By David McIntyre 03/01/2017
QPR will listen to offers for Sebastian Polter during this month’s transfer window.
The German striker, 25, has scored 10 goals in 51 league appearances since being signed from Mainz in the summer of 2015.
Manager Ian Holloway is in no rush to offload Polter and is ready to recall him to the Rangers squad following a recent injury – the player has been nursing a back problem but has returned to training.
However, Holloway is keen to strengthen his squad and would happily reinvest the money in a new striker if a buyer for Polter is found.
Polter has indicated that he would welcome a return to Germany.
It is shaping up into yet another manic transfer window at QPR, who are again looking to make changes. www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/qpr-will-listen-offers-striker-squad-revamp-takes-place

QPR look to offload Sandro on a freeQPR are increasingly optimistic they will offload Sandro during this month’s transfer window. Rangers will not ask for a fee for the Brazilian midfielder and are desperate for him to find a club rather than continue paying his huge wages for the remaining months of his contract, which expires in the summer Sandro has had fitness issues since his £6m move from Tottenham in 2014 and has started only 29 league matches for the R’s. Several previous efforts to find him a new club failed, but there has been interest in him in recent weeks and as a result there is much more of an expectation than during previous windows that he will move on. His representatives have sought confirmation from the club that he can go on a free transfer, which Rangers are taking as an indication that the Sandro camp believe a move is in the offing. Rangers held talks with intermediaries from the Chinese Super League about Sandro in October. So far there though has been no sign of firm interest from Chinese clubs – instead it is Tjaronn Chery who has attracted a lucrative offer from the Far East. www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/free-transfer-sandro-qpr-cull

Well we have to give Holloway a chance to build his team , like JFH , Ramsey, Redknapp, Hughes, Warnock and everyone else before that.
