Wow, a typical story of some bizarre and ridiculous circumstances involving QPR but now with a twist. This time it's a positive outcome.

The Offie's report. Ollie says he's a bright prospect www.qpr.co.uk/news/club-news/bright-osayi-samuel-joins-from-blackpool/Bright Osayi-Samuel joins from BlackpoolIan Taylor @ijtaylor81 QPR have successfully completed the signing of promising young midfielder Bright Osayi-Samuel from Blackpool for an undisclosed fee, with the 19 year-old penning a three-year deal. Owing to a temporary communication issue with the selling club, the necessary documentation for this transfer was submitted very close to last night’s 11pm deadline. As a result of this, QPR have had to wait for the EFL to confirm the documentation required was successfully delivered on time. The EFL has this evening confirmed they are satisfied that all the necessary paperwork was received in accordance with the conditions of the transfer deadline and the Club is now awaiting final clearance of registration. Excuse the pun, but he’s got a bright future.IAN HOLLOWAYQPR CEO Lee Hoos said: “It was a challenging final few hours of the transfer window but we are delighted to reach the conclusion we were working for, which is the signing of Bright. “I would like to thank the fans for their patience. I can understand their frustration but unfortunately we have not been able to comment on this until the transfer was concluded, so as not to jeopardise the deal.” Osayi-Samuel, who operates predominantly as a left winger, joined the Tangerines’ academy before breaking into their first team as a 17 year-old while the club were still in the Championship. The pacey wideman made 26 appearances in League One in 2015/16, but it was last season when the Nigerian-born Osayi-Samuel really underlined his quality. Making 42 appearances in League Two, he was an integral part of Blackpool’s promotion via the play-offs, and produced a level of performance which attracted a host of interest throughout the summer. After completing his move to Loftus Road, he told http://www.qpr.co.uk: “I'm delighted to be here. “'I’m happy to get the deal done – and the hard work starts now for me. I just want to show my worth to this team and repay the club for bringing me here. “Of course this is a step-up for me, but I am confident in my own ability and believe I can improve as a player here. “Last season was a positive one for me. But this feels like the natural next step for me. I'm still young but this feel like the right time. I feel I'm ready.” R’s boss Ian Holloway said: “Excuse the pun, but he’s got a bright future and I’m delighted to have him here. “A lot of people saw what he did with Blackpool last year, the potential he has and the ability he has, so it’s a great bit of business for us. “It’s exciting to have a wide man who can create and score goals, and it’s brilliant to add him to the mix. “He’s got exceptional pace, and he gives me the option to play with three up front, so I’m delighted.”

Hmm, we're short at the back and could do with cover while key players recover from injury...
A certain C. Hill is a free agent at he moment...
Worth enticing him back (seemed happy to be back at Loftus Road on Saturday at #Game4Grenfell)??
Won (Glasgow) Rangers' 'John Greig Achievement Award' last season and was on 3-player shortlist for PoY.

Kolo Toure as a free agent centre back will do for me. Wages might be an issue though, plus the social media outrage because of his age. Still a one season or pay as you play deal would be ok. Never going to happen but no harm in dreaming. Never say never but I think Bassong or Belkalem might have a higher chance of accepting our wage possibilities and are a little younger. For me, I think the memory of Rio Ferdinand is too fresh to think that a 36 year old ex premiership star is going to work! I'd give Clint a go though, even if he is twice Marcus Rashford's age.

So to continue this thread or Start a new one? Time for a new one IMO. I notice there is advanced discussion about moving the end of the transfer window to before the season starts. Probably a better way to do business and would reduce the circus around deadline day.
