It's confirmed. From the Offie www.qpr.co.uk/news/under-23s-news/alfie-lloyd-joins-from-yeovil-town/Alfie Lloyd joins from Yeovil TownSimon Cheshire @simoncheshire10 QPR have completed the signing of teenage striker Alfie Lloyd from Yeovil Town. The 18-year-old, who joins for an undisclosed fee and will initially link up with our Under-23s, has signed a three-year contract in W12. Lloyd progressed through the academy ranks at Yeovil before making his professional debut against Hartlepool in November 2020. I felt that this was the best place for me to develop. After signing on the dotted line for Rangers, Lloyd told http://www.qpr.co.uk: âI am buzzing and canât wait to get started - itâs a dream come true. âAfter coming on trial here, I fell in love with the club. âEveryone was so welcoming, and I felt this was the best place for me to develop my skills further and push on to first-team football.â He added: âThe pathway here is amazing. âYou see the likes of Ebere Eze who rose through the academy and has gone onto the Premier League with Crystal Palace, itâs inspiring. âSeeing what he has done here shows you that with hard work you can progress. I want to work as hard as I can and maximise the opportunity that I now have.â Lloyd was also keen to praise the impact QPR head of coaching Chris Ramsey has already had on him. âChris has been a big part of the move,â he revealed. âI really feel like they have a huge amount of belief in me here, and have seen that I have the potential to progress.â Welcome to QPR, Alfie!

It's taking shape www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/football-qpr-signing-charlie-austin-sam-field-west-brom-130521?utm_campaign=shareaholic&utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=socialnetwork&fbclid=IwAR3oWbzJTcGp7emKRyc27_p2Z-cm44EqRjnYyWC9u0geFYgfb2RBkYjwQ5gQPR close to Austin deal and are set to sign Field By David McIntyre 13/05/2021 QPR striker Charlie Austin QPR appear to be close to a deal to keep Charlie Austin and are on the verge of completing the permanent signing of Sam Field. Talks regarding Austin have made significant progress and there is now a strong chance that an agreement will be reached. The striker, who turns 32 this summer, scored eight goals in 21 appearances for Rangers after joining on loan from West Bromwich Albion in January for a second spell at the club. He is approaching the end of his contract at West Brom, who hold an option to extend the deal by a year. However, they have indicated that they will let Austin go. Midfielder Field, who was also signed on loan from Albion in January, arrived with a view to a permanent move. That move would have been automatically triggered had the 23-year-old made 12 starts for Rangers last season. He made just eight, but there is a willingness on all sides to get the deal done â and Fieldâs transfer might well be finalised next week. Jordy de Wijsâ permanent move from Hull City was confirmed on Thursday afternoon. QPR eye Johansen deal Rangers also want to keep Stefan Johansen, but a deal to sign him from Fulham is less straightforward and will be much more protracted. It is unclear whether Fulham will look to keep him following their relegation back to the Championship and, if not, whether other clubs might come in for him. Johansen, who has a year remaining on his Fulham contract, has indicated that he wants to stay in London. Meanwhile, talks are ongoing with keeper Joe Lumley, whose QPR contract expires this summer. Lee Wallace will sign a new one-year deal in the coming days.

All tremendous news.
Someone must be on the way out once the window opens the second week of June to foot the bill for all this.
Seny? Dykes? Chair?
Totally uninformed flat out guesses...respectively 10-12 million, 10-12 million, 6-8 million?
Hope I am wrong on the low side!
Better yet, just one of them out for crazy numbers.

So far De Wijs - good signing as long as he keeps fit Field - Cannot understand why we did not start him 12 times and make it an automatic transfer. Maybe we thought we could get him cheaper this way so I hope we have not shot ourselves in the foot and left the door open for another club to outbid us. Austin - some promising noises but I will believe it if and when it happens. Money talks. Johansen - to me he would be our best signing but I have the feeling Fulham will not want to let him join us now we are rivals in the same division, plus either Fulham will want to keep him or other clubs with more cash will come after him. The fact he wants to stay in London for family reasons may help and the only other London club I can see going for him would be Brentford - depending on their play-off results.
I would prefer to keep Dieng over Lumley - only trouble being we can get a fee for Dieng and Lumley can walk. I think Kelman will go on loan if Charlie signs.
Otherwise the silent names are important - 2 wing backs being the requirement but if we keep all 4 loanees can we afford new wing backs?. Maybe shed some fringe players to keep the wage bill down. Will Albert get a deal - he made sure he kept the ball after the Luton game - maybe because he just scored his first home goal for "his club" or maybe as a farewell souvenir. I would give him another year as a very useful squad player who makes an impact off the bench.

Weâve been linked with Chuba Akpom in various re-hash articles but are you all in agreement that itâs all rubbish? This just isnât the type of player we go for now but Porteous links are very welcome đđť
Nice thinking we finally have a type of QPR player .. that identity is coming along nicely , thank you please đ

Charlie Austin deal nearing completion? www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/qpr-confirm-wallaces-new-contract-as-they-close-in-on-new-signingsQPR confirm Wallaceâs new contractBy West London Sport 15/05/2021 QPR have confirmed that Lee Wallace has signed a new one-year deal. West London Sport revealed last month that the club would be taking up an option to extend Wallaceâs contract by 12 months. Wallace, who turns 34 in August, was signed on a two-year deal in 2019 from Glasgow Rangers, where he previously played under Mark Warburton. Having struggled for fitness and form for much of his time in W12, Wallace has been a revelation during the second half of the season. âHe has shown the QPR fans the level of player I already knew he was,â Râs boss Warburton told the club website. âHe is a player who benefits from the rhythm of playing games and itâs great to see his fitness at such a good level, alongside the quality and consistency of his performances. âLee was captain for a lot of games last season and will continue to play a big mentoring role for the squad.â Wallace said: âOnce I was able to find some rhythm, I was able to give my best on the pitch and help those around me.â Meanwhile, QPR appear to be close to a deal to keep Charlie Austin and are on the verge of completing the permanent signing of Sam Field. Todd Kane faces the axe, with the club looking to bring in a right-back to replace him. And chief executive Lee Hoos has told West London Sport he would like to see safe standing installed at Rangers.

From TWTD www.twtd.co.uk/ipswich-town-news/40325/brentford-join-blackburn-and-qpr-in-chase-for-dozzellBrentford Join Blackburn and QPR in Chase For DozzellSaturday, 15th May 2021 19:31 TWTD understands Brentford have joined Blackburn Rovers and QPR in showing interest in Blues midfielder Andre Dozzell. On Monday, Town boss Paul Cook told virtually everyone in the current squad that they can move on this summer including Dozzell, 22, who only signed a new contract which runs to the summer of 2024 in December. Blackburn Rovers had an offer for Dozzell rejected by the Blues in January 2020 and, as previously reported, former Blues skipper and coach Tony Mowbray has continued to monitor the former England U20 international during 2020/21. His assistant Mark Venusâs name was on the scouts list for a recent Blues away game. TWTD revealed in February that QPR were also keeping tabs on the former England U20 international and they remain among those interested. However, we understand Twitter claims of a swap deal for Ipswich-born striker Macauley Bonne are wide of the mark. Brentford have also now joined the chase for Dozzell, who was a regular for Town 2020/21 under both Cook and his predecessor Paul Lambert. We understand no offers have yet been made for Dozzell but itâs expected that the interested parties will firm up their interest soon.

www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/football-qpr-keeper-lumley-set-for-move-meaning-kelly-could-be-needed-as-coverNot surprised by this and if it happens soon we know a bit more about where we stand. If we manage to keep Dieng, which I think we will, I am not sure we should drag Kelly back from Scotland to sit on the bench. He would only really be needed in the event of a long term injury or drastic loss of form by Dieng. On a game to game basis having Barnes as cover on the bench, plus the possibility for an emergency loan signing if Dieng gets injured we are still covered. If we drag Kelly back we are creating a problem by forcing a player who wants to be playing every week in Scotland to be a bench warmer.

From the Offie www.qpr.co.uk/news/club-news/joe-lumley-departs-for-middlesbrough-190521/Joe Lumley departs for MiddlesbroughQueens Park Rangers @qpr JOE Lumley has joined Middlesbrough in a permanent switch, agreeing a two-year contract at the Riverside Stadium. The 26-year-old goalkeeper turned down an offer from QPR and was keen on the move as he seeks regular first-team football. Lumley joined QPR when he was 16 years old and successfully came through the ranks. During his time with the Râs, Lumley enjoyed loan spells with Accrington, Morecambe, Stevenage, Bristol Rovers, Blackpool and Gillingham which aided his development before he became No.1 at QPR. He spent a period on loan at Doncaster during the 2020/21 campaign. Lumley made his debut for the Râs at Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup in January 2016, aged 20. In total, he represented us on 84 occasions in all competitions. Best of luck for the future, Joe

From WLS. No surprises really. Doesn't appear to be in our plans and given the tight money climate we can't afford to have players on our books who we are unlikely to play in the First Team. www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/smyth-set-to-be-released-by-qprSmyth set to be released by QPRBy David McIntyre 19/05/2021 QPR are set to release Paul Smyth. The Northern Ireland international, 23, was signed from Linfield in 2017. Smyth made a great start to his Rangers career, scoring on his debut and impressing in his early appearances. However, successive managers have since overlooked him. His contract expires this summer, giving him the chance to seek regular first-team football elsewhere. He ended last season with a second spell on loan at Accrington, having also been on loan at Charlton and Wycombe.

Watched the 2nd half of Lincoln game yesterday and was very impressed with them. They looked to have a couple of good young players that we should take a look at if they donât go up although I donât know if they are on loan from other clubs. Poole, Eyoma, Grant, Rogers and Johnson all of a good age and fit the profile we should be targeting.

From London Football News. Kane on the move?! londonfootballnews.co.uk/qpr/charlton-sunderland-and-portsmouth-all-want-qpr-defender/Charlton, Sunderland and Portsmouth all want QPR defenderPOSTED BY: LONDON FOOTBALL NEWS 26/05/2021 London Football News understands the League One trio are all keen to snap up the former Chelsea trainee this summer. Kane, 27, has plenty of Championship experience, having been on loan at Nottingham Forest, Blackburn, Preston, Bristol City and Hull prior to his move to QPR. He has a year remaining on his contract at Loftus Road but looks set to move on in search of first-team football. West London Sport recently reported that Kane is set to be axed with Rangers looking for a new right-back. He was already out of favour under boss Mark Warburton, barely getting a look in during the final weeks of the season as Osman Kakay firmly established himself as the managerâs first choice. Kane has made 60 league appearances since joining the Râs on a free transfer in the summer of 2019. During his first season at the club he was involved in a battle for a place with Kakay, but the latter enjoyed more game time last term and Kane now looks likely to make a fresh start elsewhere. Kane has not started a match since a draw at Millwall in March. Since then he has been restricted to a couple of appearances as a substitute.

From WLS a round up of current QPR transfer speculation www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/football-wls-newcastle-rob-dickie-sunderland-todd-kane-2873322Transfer gossip: Clubs linked with QPRâs KaneBy West London Sport 26/05/2021 Some of the recent transfer speculation involving QPR⌠Sunderland, Portsmouth and Charlton have been linked with QPR defender Todd KaneWest London Sport recently revealed that Kane faces the axe, with Rangers looking to bring in a new right-back to compete for a place with Osman Kakay. London Football News say the three League One clubs are all keen to sign Kane, who has a year remaining on his contract. Newcastle again linked with DickieNewcastle are again being linked with Rob Dickie. The Magpies were tipped to move for the centre-back a year ago, when he was at Oxford United. They did not make an approach for him and he eventually signed for QPR, where he has impressed during his first season in the Championship. Now Football Insider claim Newcastle are interested in signing Dickie this summer. Watford linked with ChairWatford have again been linked with QPRâs Ilias Chair. The Hornets were linked with him during the January transfer window. And The Athletic say Watford are among a number of clubs showing an interest in Chair. Belgian sides Anderlecht and Club Brugge and Italian clubs Bologna and Genoa are also said to be keen. Fulham among clubs linked with DykesQPR striker Lyndon Dykes is attracting interest from other clubs, including Fulham, it has been claimed. The Scotland international has struggled for much of his first season in west London but is in excellent form, having scored six goals in as many matches. And Teamtalk have claimed there will be âa battle to hang on toâ Dykes and that Fulham, Burnley and West Brom are âready to test QPRâs resolveâ after watching his progress. Daily Record claim Râs want PorteousQPR are interested in Hibernianâs Scotland Under-21 centre-back Ryan Porteous, the Daily Record reckon. The newspaper claim director of football Les Ferdinand âhas had him watched regularly in recent weeksâ and that Rangers are âweighing up a moveâ for Porteous. It is also claimed that Millwall had a ÂŁ1m bid for the 22-year-old rejected in January and that QPR would âneed to go in significantly higher than that and with serious add-onsâ in order to sign him. Hammers eyeing Dieng, Sun claimWest Ham are the latest club to have been linked with Seny Dieng. The QPR goalkeeper, now a Senegal international, has impressed for Mark Warburtonâs side this season. It has led to speculation that a Premier League club could come in for him during the summer. And The Sun say West Ham are ready to pay ÂŁ6m for Dieng, who signed a four-year deal in September so is under contract until 2024. Rangers manager Warburton has since dismissed the story. Warburton told West London Sport: âWhere does this come from? Where do these figures come from? âThe validity of that source is questionable at best, I think. Put it that way. âAnd the bigger picture; if any player leaves it will be for QPRâs valuation. Everyoneâs got a price. The best player the world has a price if youâre prepared to pay it. âIf any player leaves QPR it will be if the board deem it to be good value for the club.â

Latest from WLS www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/west-brom-confirm-austin-exit-as-qpr-look-to-finalise-dealWest Brom confirm Austin exit as QPR look to finalise dealBy West London Sport 27/05/2021 West Brom have confirmed they are not taking up an option to extend Charlie Austinâs contract. Austin, whose deal at The Hawthorns expires this summer, is close to completing a permanent move to QPR. The striker joined the Râs on loan from Albion in January for a second spell at Loftus Road and scored eight times as Mark Warburtonâs side enjoyed an excellent second half of the season. Austin has been released by the relegated Baggies along with Acton-born winger Hal Robson-Kanu. Rangers are keen to agree permanent deals for all four of the loan signings who helped transform their fortunes after their arrivals. Jordy de Wijs and Sam Field have been signed and talks are under way with Fulham over Stefan Johansen. Midfielder Johansen has a year remaining on his Fulham contract but has indicated that he would like to make the move to W12. QPR are also looking to sign a right-back and a back-up goalkeeper before the start of next season. Bringing in a keeper would pave the way for Liam Kelly to move on. Kelly ended last season on loan at Motherwell, who are keen to retain him, and he does not want to return to act as cover for Seny Dieng.
