So why is MW not addressing our defence? we do NOT need 2 midfielders right now. We need the back end walled up with a proper defence, just what is it with midfielders and this club? Our defence has been shite for the last 2 seasons and nothing is being done, pathetic the way this club is run.

Our centre midfield is IMO our weakest area at the minute so will welcome two additions. Probably the lad from Huddersfield ( ex Brentford to follow if he agrees our terms.) We have one more central defender De Wijs already in , just injured that will be in the squad soon. We need a left back for sure. The defence has been poor for two years agree but we have been investing in it recently and on paper should be a better than it is. I put the defence possibly down to bad coaching and management . The last three games we only let one goal in so a few signs it may be getting better.

So we are about to sign our 5th goalkeeper of the season it seems. I really hope that it does not mean that we are selling Dieng though. I think it more likely that Lumley has rejected the reported new contract offer of substantially less money and that he is departing, possibly in the opposite direction to Gillingham. But if that is the case, it will mean that we have travelled from the start of the season when Dieng had not signed a new contract and we had Lumley, Kelly and Barnes as our 3 keepers, to possibly a situation whereby all three keepers will end the season out on loan!

New keeper: One for the future but needed to be signed now before someone else took him. Surely will be sent out on loan this season and next? Defence: LB needed but only if someone better is available at the right price. We may have to wait until summer and make do with what we have for now. Another CB would be useful in case of injuries, but Kakay and Wallace can play in a back 3 so unlikely to see anyone else in this month. Midfield: Ideally Bettache goes out on loan for regular action. Another one needed in with Cameron playing in defence and Amos and Carroll injured. Smyth: Surely recalled as someone wants to sign him? Not pulling up trees in L1, not good enough for Championship at present. Shodipo: Ideally he stays at Oxford where is he growing in confidence and making great progress. One for next season?

Smyth has gone to Accrington Stanley on loan until the end of the season. Guess that is the end of his QPR career.

Clutching at straws Harr - he is not good enough for the Championship and I'm even unsure what he is supposed to be - a winger who can score a goal or two or a strike who hugs teh touchline and does not score much. We nee true goal scoring forwards - Wells and Hugill were OK Austin COULD be Wheeler - no way. Shame though, nice attitude, every club he goes out to, always says he puts in a shit Saying that Conor Washington always worked hard and had a good attitude, just never quite good enough in our League.

No wonder the pitches he plays on are always so lush if he is shitting on them. I always wanted him to come good, he has shown glimpses of promise and I thought he did well in the gams that Holloway played him, just never seems to be able to kick on though.

footballleagueworld.co.uk/nottingham-forest-hoping-to-pull-off-late-qpr-transfer-raid/So Garner signed for Forest not QPR Glen Murray also gone to Forest after interest from QPR. Now it is reported that Lumley could switch to Forest as well. How many players do Forest need? Meanwhile, Luke Freeman can not get into their starying eleven and has apparently been very poor for them. Are we sharing scouts with Notts Forest? NOTTINGHAM FOREST NEWSNOTTINGHAM FOREST HOPING TO PULL OFF LATE QPR TRANSFER RAIDPublished 15 mins ago on 31/01/2021By Alfie Burns Nottingham Forest hope to sign Joe Lumley from Queens Park Rangers in the remaining days of the transfer window. Chris Hughton’s side are hoping to oversee a busy 48 hours in the transfer window, with Alex Crook at talkSPORT revealing they are hoping to sign Lumley from QPR. Lumley, 25, has been on the books at QPR his entire senior career, making 81 appearances across all competitions for the R’s, amongst a series of loan spells elsewhere. However, this season he has found himself playing second fiddle in Mark Warburton’s squad. Seny Dieng is the R’s first choice goalkeeper in the Championship and Lumley has been out on emergency loan to Gillingham and Doncaster Rovers at different stages of the season. That’s led to Forest’s interest, with Hughton hoping that Lumley will follow Glenn Murray through the door at the City Ground ahead of tomorrow’s transfer deadline. Brice Samba has retained the faith of Hughton after impressing under Sabri Lamouchi at Forest last season in the Championship. The 26-year-old has Jordan Smith as his back-up, whilst Abdoulaye Diallo is waiting in the wings in Hughton’s squad .Alex Crook ⚽️🎙 @alex_crook · 49m Glenn Murray to #NFFC done. Hope it works out for the #BHAFC legend after a miserable stint at #WatfordFC. Forest also hoping to sign #QPR goalkeeper Joe Lumley

In Les we trust.
Hopefully a couple of players shake loose in the next 2 days.
If not, we should be OK if just one of our "strikers" gets on a roll.

If we can get another midfielder in I would be happy.. we had two long term injuries and have replaced one so far. I think the defence could be ok, we will score meals goals with Charlie now.

As per the Sunderland Echo, #QPR sent scouts to watch #BristolRovers take on #Sunderland.
Rumours are that QPR were looking at BristolRovers Centre-Back Alfie Kilgour who has caught the attention of the likes of Southampton, #Bournemouth and now #Newcastle.

Terms were agreed as part of the loan deal. He is out of contract at Hull in the Summer. So, presumably we paid a loan fee, then it is up to QPR to action an option and for Jordy to accept - but can only be a non-binding pre-agreement until July. Nothing to do with Hull now - so no more than clickbait.

www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/ryan-porteous-queens-park-rangers-24009575Ryan Porteous in Queens Park Rangers transfer chase as Hibs brace for summer bid The centre-back is seen as one of the brightest young defensive talents and Mark Warburton has his eye on him. Queens Park Rangers are weighing up a summer move for Hibs star Ryan Porteous. The Rs are the latest English Championship side to show a firm interest in the talented centre half. The 22-year-old is the radar of QPR director of football Les Ferdinand, who has had him watched regularly in recent weeks. Championship rivals Millwall failed with a bid of around £1 million in January. QPR know they would need to go in significantly higher than that and with serious add ons to get a deal done. Porteous is seen as one of the best young defensive prospects in Scotland and has already been called up to Steve Clarke’s full international squad. The defender has also helped Hibs run clear in third spot and into the Scottish Cup semi-finals, where they will face Dundee United. QPR have kept a close eye on the Scottish market since Mark Warburton has been in charge and they are about to give him major backing for a promotion push next season. The Loftus Road outfit paid around £2 million to Livingston last summer to land Scotland star Lyndon Dykes.

Really looking forward to next season. The building blocks are in place, even allowing for a couple out (for commensurate fees)

WLS suggest Foolham want Dykes (along with WBA and others) - 20 million and they can have him plus 20 million add ons if they get promoted - or should that be if they avoid relegation to the First Division. Maybe WBA will offer Austin/plus cash for Dykes?
