Really encouraging.
The potential relegation was increasingly alarming, as League 1 appears to be the "new Championship" in terms of the level of competition. More so with the salary cap.
We may yet drop, but the club are fighting to the finish.
This resolve also possibly implies that we are closer than is public to Linford Christie or whatever plan B is for a new ground. (I know, I am reading too much into this.....contact O. Stone Esquire.)

www.examinerlive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/huddersfield-towns-aAccording to the Mail, we are after Alex Pritchard from Huddersfield. He played for Ramsey in the Spurs Youth Team. Played for Warbs at Brentford who sold him for £8m to Norwich who sold him to Hudderersfield 3 yearsago for £11m. Out of contract in June - he plays number 10 role. However, Huddersfield fans despise him. He damaged his knee early doors and has been poor ever since. Real target for the boo boys.

Pritchard is worth a punt if we can get him in the Summer or earlier for a small fee. Reminds me of Rowlands, busy around the pitch and can chip in with the odd goal.
Things are looking much better but still need to find that midfield boss in the centre.
I'd like to see more of Bettache in place of Carroll, they play similar but would be good for Bettache to have a 3-4 game run to see what he can really offer.
Always felt Austin played better with another big man upfront (Zamora) so I am hopeful with Dykes they can strike up a good partnership, with Bonne a good impact sub

Scott Twine ‘NO SUITABLE BID’ MADE FOR RUMOURED QPR TARGET – LOAN BOSS SAYS ‘BIG’ CLUBS INTERESTED THOUGH Luke Phelps @iukephelps 10 Seconds Ago In-demand Swindon Town midfielder Scott Twine is rumoured to be interesting both Newport County and QPR this window, but no ‘suitable bids have yet been made for the 21-year-old. The midfielder was loaned out to Newport County ahead of this season. After scoring six League Two goals in 19 appearances for the Welsh club, he’s since been recalled by John Sheridan at Swindon. He’d mark his return with a goal against Ipswich Town last time out after it was reported that Newport had bid to bring Twine in permanently. Sheridan told The Swindon Advertiser though that he was unaware of any Newport bids for Twine. “I don’t know if Newport had bid or not. As far as I’m aware, Scott is back here and he’s staying. He’s a Swindon Town fan, a Swindon Town player, and it’s my job to get the best out of him. “He’s done well at Newport because he’s been playing regularly, and you could see he had benefited from that against Ipswich. “He should have done better with an earlier chance in the game before he scored, but his strike is a wonder strike.” QPR though were rumoured to be interested in Twine last month – the rumour had circulated on Twitter and The Sun’s Alan Nixon would refuse to rule it out: Mark Warburton has since been active in the transfer market after making the loan signings of Charlie Austin and Jordy de Wijs, but is seeking out more options as he bids for Championship survival. But, as per Nixon, there’s been ‘no suitable bid’ for Twine as of yet: Newport boss Michael Flynn has previously said that ‘bigger clubs’ are interested in Twine. Earlier this month, when asked if he thought Twine would be coming back to Newport permanently, he told The Swindon Advertiser: “No. There are a few bigger clubs interested than us.” His price-tag is unknown but with Warburton busy in the transfer window and yet to sign a central midfielder, he could well turn to Twin in the coming weeks.

So looks like BOS is on his way and currently likely coming in are Josh Sims and Alex Pritchard. BOS wasn't willing to sign a new contract but if we get the £750,000 discussed would probably cover most of the cost of the two arriving.

Ryan Tunnicliffe in advanced talks to join from Luton if Twitter is to be believed. Luton fans praying it happens. I had hoped that we would do better......if true of course

Burton aren't having the best of seasons, but it is encouraging that he is perceived as at least a shout for them given his career ups and downs.

Stefan johansson on loan from Fulham is being linked by WLS and Talksport. Oh dear.... Omitted from Fulham's 30 man squad, so he has not played all season. He has been suffering with a long term back injury and lacks pace.. I think I would rather see Bettache get a run.

Johanson is not a bad player in this League if fit The question is why are we sending out fit players and bringing in unfit players ? Who has come up with that brilliant strategy.

I’m not sure, maybe they think if we can get him fit and he plays well, then if Fulham stay up we can pick him up in the cheap and keep him and he becomes a solid member of the team. Either that or we get him fit, Fulham get relegated and just as he is peaking they get him back in the Championship🤷♂️

Stefan Johansen will be presented as a QPR player on Monday. Going for a medical test in the morning. Declined on loan deals with Bristol City and Blackburn. Must play with suit number 14. No option in the agreement.#FFC#QPR
From Norwegian Journalist.? Let’s see if it happens?

The Offie has confirmed we have reached agreement for BOS to leave immediately which I think is in he best interests of all concerned. Surprise comment is that it is subject to BOS passing a medical and to agreeing personal terms. I would have thought that agreeing personal terms would have been sorted out with the pre-contract but who knows. I assume International clearance will be needed. On a different note I am a bit confused with the logic of a few posts in various threads over the last couple of days. Only couple of posters involved but I thought there was general agreement going into this window on what we needed but also that we are cash strapped and would have to use the loan market. The consensus seemed to be that we needed to add some goal power up front and we took Charlie on loan, also we needed another central defender and we have taken the man from Hull, lastly we needed a central midfielder hopefully a box to box type and we are reportedly taking the man from Fulham. That means we have added to and I would say have strengthened the whole central backbone of the team with experienced players. Obviously in our position taking a gamble on a 19 year loanee somewhere was never going to be the solution. The cost of these 3 loans and small amount we get for BOS makes paying cash for transfers out of the question. We have balanced the wage bill a bit by sending out players on loan to either get experience or just to let them play football. All seems pretty sensible to me and as much as we could hope for. Very much like getting Hugill and Wells last season these 3 loans can make a massive difference to eth second half of the season. So why are some complaining that we are taking too many loans, or are switching to a 4-6-0 formation or similar comments, or even running down players before they have joined or played. As usual everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I suppose some people are never happy unless they have something to moan about. Also I agree with Warburton that with Willock Adomah and Thorpe there is no panic to go looking for a BOS replacement. I take your point 75. However things do change and so long as the window remains open, there is a chance to respond I guess. The priority to me was a box to box midflielder and a left sided defender. Charlie Austin was a bonus. We bid over £1m for Whiteman, who apparently was never going to move South - I thought we thoroughly researched all that sort of thing ahead of any bid. So that suggests that there is / or was some money available within our FFP limits. Warbs has said he wanted and we needed experience and that is what he has gone for. Personally, I would have liked to have seen a signing similar to Whiteman - one for the future who is ours. But yeah, things have changed. The board probably thought that they would get more than they have for Bright - but they were not even involved until it was too late. We switched to 3 at the back and won two games - one with Bright as wing back. We quickly got found out and a simple half time change by Rooney and we were unstuck again. But what it showed was: 1) We need two new rercruits in midfield not one - due to injuries to Amos, Carroll & Owen, Willock is not a central midfielder 2) Hamalainen is not rerady for the Championship - he was only supposed to be back up to Wallace. 3) Wallace was not even on the bench for the last 2 games, even though we only had 8 substutues - so he is not ready to return. I personally do not rate Wallace and so IMHO we need a left back - and he needs to be able to play wing back as well. So assuming Johansen signs, we still need a left back and a central midfielder in the next week.

Ryan Giles has been recalled from Coventry by Wolves to go out to another Championship club - thought to be QPR - but turns out to be Rotherham. Strange decision. Exciting left wingback.
