Well for some reason, the tweet isn't appearing but George Thomas has been confirmed by the club. Not a player I know much about but quietly optimistic about him. Very much fits the modern QPR signing mould. Decent amount of games in League One and a player we actually tried to sign before Leicester came in. Active in Leicester's U23's but obviously not had a shout there. Still only 23, talks about having "a good set of lungs" and high workrate. Can play CM, AM or either flank apparently so versatile (another Warbs-style tick in the right column). Obviously no real idea til we see him in action. But with that pedigree, for free, no complaints.

Check out Patryk Klimala at Celtic. I took him (FM 2020) for a season on loan, played a 4-2-3-1 formation with him up front and after 36 games he's scored 19 goals. Worth a look at in real life. If only the club used me in real life,I could have saved them. Got the team in 8th, 4 points behind 7th, Sold Eze to Man U for 29 Mill with up to another 7 mill in add ons.

I see some social media trolls already have the knife out for our new signing because he did not feature for Leicester in the PL and spent time out learning his trade in lower leagues. FFS give the guy a chance. Not so long ago no-one had heard of Eze, BOS was not rated, Dom Ball I had never heard of but did a solid job etc. We obviously must have been watching his guy for a while and think he will do a good job. Get real "fans" - we are going to be signing frees, hoping they work out and can be sold on at a profit. If you want big money signings go down the road and become a Chelski. Same Eze who was supposedly not even good enough for Millwall's academy. EPPP comes into this too - it's easier than ever for Premier League clubs to just hoover up large amounts of young players on the off-chance they're any good so that nobody else gets them. There are so many decent players pottering around on loan or in big clubs' bloated U23 system. Doesn't mean they aren't any good because they don't break into the senior side at Prem level, just indicative of the fact that they can afford to wrack em and stack em. Edit: to steal a point from another MB, the people on Twitter who moan about how other clubs scout unknown gems and sell them for millions when we don't are the same people looking at this signing going "I don't know him, probably crap" haha.

Yeah, agree with the above comments. I think though that part of the reaction flows from how we do our business at the moment. We are linked with numerous players, and we all look them up to form an opinion - who hasn't researched Keiffer Moore? But then, on the first day of the window the announcement (no previous whispers) of our first signings - so the initial reaction on seeing 'George Thomas' is who? But happy with how we conduct our business and the strategy has to be to bring a few George Thomas signings through the door - they will not all work, but some will. I also think that it is a nice touch to announce a relatively unknown first, it gives him proper exposure to the hungry message boards and I expect a flow of such early signings. Wigan need to raise the cash by Friday, so Moore will go somewhere this week. Millwall, who signed Ryan Woods yesterday, are said to be favourites now. Millwall a better prospect than QPR - when did that happen?

Weirdly made me think of the comparison of when we signed Matt Phillips and how things have changed. We didn't spot him and go for him at relatively nearby Wycombe, but Blackpool did and years later, we paid a big fee for him. Years later, a player we have apparently monitored for years at Coventry gets a big move to Leicester and years later, we have them in on a free!

www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/qpr-jordan-hugill-west-ham-ebere-eze-latest-2807208QPR hoping to agree deal for Hugill By West London Sport 28/07/2020 QPR: Jordan Hugill QPR want Jordan Hugill back next season. Striker Hugill scored 15 goals during his year on loan at Loftus Road from West Ham. And Rangers would like him to be included in any deal with the Hammers for Ebere Eze. The east London club are interested in Eze as well as Brentford winger Said Benrahma. QPR, who believe Eze is worth at least £20m, are looking to sign at least a couple of forwards this summer. They would like to sign Hugill either on loan or a permanent deal and believe their best chance might be if West Ham make a move for Eze, who is also wanted by Crystal Palace. QPR: Luke Amos Hugill, 28, was signed by David Moyes in a surprise big-money move from Preston in January 2018 – weeks after QPR believed they were in with a chance of signing the player for around £1.2m. Moyes returned for a second spell as West Ham manager last year, leading to some speculation that Hugill could be given a second chance. But Hugill is not in Moyes’ plans and seemingly has no future at the London Stadium, having not started a Premier League game since his move to the capital. He is therefore likely to be playing in the Championship again next season. QPR lining up potential deals QPR would also like to sign midfielder Luke Amos, who spent the season on loan from Tottenham. And an approach was recently made to Wigan’s administrators for striker Kieffer Moore, who has attracted interest from a number of other clubs. Meanwhile, Bright Osayi-Samuel is still mulling over a move to Club Brugge.

These are no more than rumour's, but it might hopefully be pointing towatds the price the club have in mind.
1) Tottenham have offered £20 million plus player/s.
2) Palace have offered £28 million.
IF, and it's a big if, these offers are anywhere near to the truth, West Ham weould have to increase their valuation considerably from what social media has been quoting.

Eberechi Eze managed 14 goals for QPR in the season and has attracted interest far and wide. Photograph: Greig Cowie/BPI/Shutterstock West Ham have stepped up their pursuit of Eberechi Eze, with David Moyes determined to win the race to sign the Queens Park Rangers forward. QPR are holding out for as much as £20m for Eze, who is also attracting interest from Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Newcastle and West Bromwich Albion. Although West Ham are unlikely to be able to spend heavily, they have indicated they are prepared to make funds available to sign the 22-year-old. Eze is one of the most exciting young players in the Championship. He is at his best in the No 10 position and finished the season with 14 goals, including a stunning effort when QPR ended their season with the 2-2 draw that led to West Brom winning automatic promotion last week. West Ham's Albian Ajeti set to join Celtic on loan as Moyes begins clear out Read more Moyes is a big admirer of the London-born Eze, who made his debut for QPR in 2017. West Ham’s manager is unconvinced by some of his attackers and hopes to increase his budget by selling Felipe Anderson and Manuel Lanzini. Albian Ajeti is close to joining Celtic on loan after he failed to score or start a Premier League game since signing from Basel for £8m last year. West Ham, who are determined not to sell Declan Rice to Chelsea, are aiming to recruit young, hungry players from the lower leagues. They signed Jarrod Bowen from Hull for £22m in January and the winger played a key role in them avoiding relegation. Moyes has also targeted the QPR full-back Ryan Manning and is interested in the Wigan Athletic defenders Cédric Kipré and Antonee Robinson. West Ham face plenty of competition for Eze, particularly from Palace. Roy Hodgson’s side have been tracking him for a long time and do not want to miss out. The Hammers could switch their focus to Brentford’s Saïd Benrahma if Eze ends up elsewhere. That is largely likely to depend on whether the Algerian winger helps them to win the Championship play-offs. Brentford are 1-0 down going into the home leg of their semi-final against Swansea on Wednesday.

I really want a Prem club to sign Benharama and leave Eze alone. Except there seems to be at least 3 or 4 clubs interested - and quite possibly a few keeping under under the radar. If we can make £20-£25m in this window, I think we should just bite the bullet and let him go.

30 Mill + Hugill - Bite their hands off and grab. 30 mill could get a couple of decent players. Yeah I know, it's only a rumour but with some of the prices being bandied about for other lesser players, 30 mill for Eze would be about right. Hugill on the other hand is worth about 2 mill. Thoughts on Jack Clarke? Perhaps we could get him and Amos from Spuds and some cash.

Cardiff to battle QPR and Millwall for Wigan striker Kieffer Moore with £2.1m tussle for Wales international Cardiff City have stepped up their chase for Wigan Athletic striker Kieffer Moore Millwall and QPR have also posted an interest for the Wales international Cardiff are ready to match the £2.1million offers already made for the striker Brighton, Brentford and Celtic hold talks with Peterborough for Ivan Toney By DANNY GALLAGHER FOR MAILONLINE PUBLISHED: 09:33, 29 July 2020 | UPDATED: 09:55, 29 July 2020 Cardiff City have stepped up their chase for Wigan Athletic's in-demand striker Kieffer Moore. The play-off contenders are ready to match the £2.1million offers made by QPR and Millwall in a bid to lure the Wales international to the capital. Manager Neil Harris wanted Moore in January and the 27-year-old is keen on the move to help crisis club Wigan who confirmed the departure of teenage midfielder Alfie Devine to Tottenham on Tuesday for £300,000. QPR may switch attention to signing Jordan Hugill from West Ham on a permanent deal after his successful loan. The Loftus Road club know West Ham like their winger Eberechi Eze and could ask for Hugill as a makeweight in negotiations. West Ham though have interest from other Championship sides in Hugill while Crystal Palace are also keen on Eze. Manager David Moyes's priority is to bring in defenders. The club needs to sell before they can challenge for targets properly though Moyes hopes they can hold on to Declan Rice. The 21-year-old is admired by Chelsea among others but the Stamford Bridge club have yet to make an offer and Rice has not expressed a desire to leave QPR, meanwhile, expect winger Bright Samuel to complete his move to Club Brugge after he flew over for more talks and a medical on Tuesday. Brighton, Brentford and Celtic have held talks with Peterborough United over a deal for striker Ivan Toney Luton Town have had a bid of around £400,000 rejected for Charlton Athletic midfielder Alfie Doughty, 20. www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-8571559/Cardiff-battle-QPR-Millwall-Wigan-striker-Kieffer-Moore-2-1m-bid.htmlfootballleagueworld.co.uk/bright-osayi-samuel-shares-cryptic-update-as-qpr-future-remains-in-limbo/BRIGHT OSAYI-SAMUEL SHARES CRYPTIC UPDATE AS QPR FUTURE REMAINS IN LIMBOPublished 3 mins ago on 29/07/2020By George Harbey Bright Osayi-Samuel’s future at Queens Park Rangers remains uncertain, with the winger continuing to attract plenty of transfer interest. The 22-year-old endured an excellent individual campaign for QPR this term, scoring six goals and chipping in with nine assists for the West London side. The winger only has one year left on his contract at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium, though, and is seemingly edging closer towards an exit. The Daily Mail recently claimed that QPR had accepted a bid in the region of £4.75m from Club Brugge, with the winger set to undergo a medical in Belgium. Football Insider recently cast doubt on Osayi-Samuel’s move to Belgium, though, claiming that the wide-man’s move to Brugge had collapsed, amid reported interest from Leicester, Brighton and Fulham. Osayi-Samuel’s future, then, is seemingly up in the air, but the winger has recently took to Instagram to provide an update on his current whereabouts. The player posted a picture onto his Instagram story of himself sitting on a plane, perhaps hinting that a move to Club Brugge is still on the cards. The Verdict This is an interesting update, and I personally feel that Osayi-Samuel’s move to Belgium is nowhere near breaking down at all. It’s a big move for him, to be fair. He’s only 22 years of age and he will now look to become a key player for a successful side in Belgium, who tend to quality for the Champions League year in, year out. I’m surprised to see him not pursue a move to the Premier League, but it would l be a great experience for him for sure.

Charlie Goode Northampton Captain - Centre Half footballleagueworld.co.uk/middlesbrough-seize-initiative-as-they-aim-to-beat-qpr-to-defender/SSN - CLUBS LODGE GOODE BIDS QPR and Middlesbrough have placed bids of just under £500,000 for Northampton Town captain Charlie Goode. Goode’s form last season has been attracting interest from Championship clubs, with Brentford also monitoring his situation. Sky Sports News understands the bids from QPR and Boro are short of Northampton’s valuation of their skipper, who guided the club to promotion. Goode is keen to make the step up but will consider all his options before deciding.

Charlie Goode: Funny how these transfers work. Northampton need funds to build following their promotion. They set a price for their captain at circa £750k. QPR come in and offer less than £500k apparently. So the agent needs to release the story to the media so that other parties can come in, best mention Brentford somewhere so that others can assume that this would be a shrewd signing.. So cue Keith Curle on the phone to his old mate Neil..... 'need to get the price up Neil, could you show an interest in the guy please?' 'Born and raised in Watford / West London, highly unlikely to uproot for a seat on the bench on Teeside, but just add some competition would you?' 'No problem Keith, shall I start by matching the QPR bid?' 'What position did you say he played Keith?'

REPORT: WEST HAM THINK THEY CAN GET DEAL WRAPPED UP FOR 24-YEAR-OLD VERY QUICKLY John Verrall
West Ham United are looking to wrap up a deal for Ryan Manning from Queens Park Rangers very quickly, the Telegraph report.
West Ham are eager to land a new full-back, and Manning is very high on David Moyes’s side list.
The QPR left-back has impressed at Championship level, with his attacking quality and tenacity catching the eye.
Manning has just one year left on his QPR contract, which means that West Ham feel that they could pick him up on a cheap deal.
West Ham actually appear to be confident that a deal could be done quickly, and want Manning signed up in the early stages of the summer.
If Manning joins West Ham he will immediately have a chance of breaking into Moyes’s starting line-up, as Aaron Cresswell and Arthur Masuaku haven’t entirely convinced this term.
Manning could be the first of many players West Ham bring in from the Championship this summer, as Moyes seems to want to focus on signing domestic-based players.

www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-middlesbrough-swansea-in-talks-with-28yo-who-has-just-quit-qpr/By Wayne Veysey -30th July 2020 at 11:33am1 Swansea and Middlesbrough are in talks to sign former Queens Park Rangers captain Grant Hall, Football Insider understands. The 28-year-old is a free agent after he turned down a new deal at Loftus Road earlier this year. A recruitment source has told Football Insider that both Swansea and Middlesbrough have held talks with the player’s representatives over a summer move. Hall ended a five-year association with QPR this month but looks set to remain in the Championship. The centre-half made 30 appearances last season and scored an impressive five goals in a Mark Warburton side that finished 13th. The Hoops boss could be starring at a summer exodus with Jordan Hugill returning to West Ham and Eberechi Eze attracting much interest from the Premier League. Middlesbrough are in desperate need of a centre-back this summer after the long-serving Daniel Ayala left upon the expiration of his contract. Hall, who can play at right-back and defensive midfield, is seen by Neil Warnock as the ideal replacement for the Spanish defender. Swansea’s dreams of promotion were crushed last night as they lost 3-1 to Brentford having carried a 1-0 advantage from the first leg. Swans boss Steve Cooper is firmly in the market for a centre-half this summer with Mike van der Hoorn out of contract. The centre-back has before spoke of his want to play at the highest level and a summer exit from the Liberty Stadium could be on the cards. Hall, who signed for Premier League side Spurs at the age of 20, would offer both clubs a wealth of experience at next to no fee. In other QPR news, it can be REVEALED that Derby and Millwall have joined the race to sign giant forward as bids tabled.
