That's assuming that we wanted him in the first place and that he actually chose Blackburn over us.

That could have legs to it Mac? Ferdinand having already worked with Jol and is a big fan of his. They could work together and also Jol would know Ramsey if Ramsey is kept on in some capacity. This option would mean Jol, Les and CR all staying, most other options would involve one maybe going.

I'd like a manager perhaps with a record of success in England...who'd develop QPR as we say we want...ANd to actually do a good job and be at QPR for several years

Why is this thread called "Wanock vs Ferdinand". Do we need to start a simple "Next Manager" thread?!

I quite like the look of Jackett. If we are pushing for promotion this season, he's probably not the right appointment. But he does have a good track record of getting teams with unbalanced squads settled and playing attacking football and ready to push on.

From ladbrokes news.ladbrokes.com/football/championship/brendan-rodgers-slashed-in-price-to-take-the-reins-at-qpr.htmlBrendan Rodgers slashed in price to take the reins at QPRFormer Liverpool boss subject to market move 18 November 2015 TOP BET Nigel Pearson7/4 Brendan Rodgers12/5 Neil Warnock5/1 Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink7/1 Alex McLeish8/1 Clarence Seedorf10/1 Tim Sherwood12/1 David Moyes12/1 Uwe Rosler16/1 Alan Stubbs16/1 It’s been two weeks since Chris Ramsey was given his P45 at Loftus Road, but as yet no new manager has assumed the hot-seat. Nigel Pearson has been the long time favourite to take over in the capital, but with the former Leicester man 2/5 to opt for west London rivals Fulham, a new candidate is emerging for the R’s. Ex-Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has been subject to a number of bets to drop back down to the Championship after leaving Anfield in October. So much so that the 42-year-old has gone from a 14/1 long-shot on Tuesday to a 3/1 second-favourite in Ladbrokes’ market. The Northern Irishman was spotted in London last week, fuelling plenty of speculation that he was being spoken to regarding either of the roles at QPR or Fulham, while some even suggested a move to Chelsea was on the cards. A drop down to the Championship would see Rodgers return to the division in which he cut his teeth as a manager, firstly with Watford before a spell at Reading preluded him taking Swansea up to the Premier League. While his spell with the Swans was one that was one bathed in success, his time at Vicarage Road took a while to get fully going, while his short spell with the Royals was disastrous, leaving the club just one place above the relegation zone. But now, with experience managing one of the biggest clubs in English football under his belt, Rodgers certainly still has a healthy reputation amongst the football fraternity. He is yet to usurp Pearson at the head of the betting to take the role in Shepherdis Bush, but any more money will surely see him shorten again.

Tick tock Lambert gone Tick tock Pearson almost gone. IMO Fulham will have a very competent Manager to get them out this Division.

The only way we do things , have they actually even interviewed Pearson ? See Rodgers linked as well now , probably won't get him either . Rumours of Ferdinand and Warnock fallen out , would like to see Warnock come out on top and Ferdinand gone if there's any truth in that one .

Clarke might prefer Fulham because of money. Maybe his salary but more likely that lately Fulham seem more ready and able to splash the cash on transfers than Reading.
Personally I do not like the man, his attitude that always comes across as arrogant, and the style of play he introduces. I suppose that means I would not want him here.

From the BBC www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/34867655Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink: Burton deny QPR have approached bossBurton Albion have not received an approach from QPR to speak to manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, says Brewers chairman Ben Robinson. Hasselbaink has been linked with the Championship side after winning League Two with Burton last season and taking them to fourth in League One this term. But Robinson said: "We have not had an approach from QPR. "The team and the manager have done fantastically well and that inevitably means that there will be speculation." Hasselbaink said earlier in the week that his main focus remains with the Brewers, despite speculation linking him with a number of clubs.

....and from London 24 ‘He’ll want a crack at it’ Redknapp gives verdict on next QPR boss 08:39 19 November 2015 Jack Green Former QPR and Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp believes Neil Warnock is set to be the club’s next permanent manager. Warnock took a role as first-team advisor last month when Chris Ramsey was the Rs manager and is now the interim boss after Ramsey was relieved of his duties. Warnock managed QPR for a two year spell from 2010 and guided the club to the Premier League, winning the Championship in his first full season at Loftus Road. The former Crystal Palace manager has previously ruled himself out of the running to take over on a permanent basis, with Nigel Pearson and Brendan Rodgers the favourites to take the reins. But Redknapp, who stepped down as QPR boss in February due to health issues, believes Warnock is keen to take the job on a permanent basis. “I would think Neil Warnock is in there,” Redknapp told TalkSPORT. “He might come out and say he’s not but he has taken Kevin Blackwell with him as his assistant. “I haven’t spoken to him, I’m only looking from the outside, but I think he’d like to do well there and have another crack at it. He has certainly done well in the past at QPR so I’m sure he’d love to give it another go.” Read more at: www.london24.com/sport/football/clubs/qpr/he_ll_want_a_crack_at_it_redknapp_gives_verdict_on_next_qpr_boss_1_4316787Copyright © LONDON24

I would imagine half the delaying tactics are to see if Warnock gets a win against Boro then they will offer it to him and he will probably accept even though he didnt want it.

This report saying WARNOCK has the Boro and Leeds game and New Manager by Reading game ?
Neil Warnock: QPR boss expects two more games in charge
Neil Warnock expects to be in charge of Queens Park Rangers for two more games, BBC Radio London reports. The 66-year-old was placed in interim charge of the R's after Chris Ramsey was sacked on 4 November. He oversaw the 0-0 draw with Preston on 7 November and has brought in Kevin Blackwell to assist him at Loftus Road. Warnock, who was boss of QPR from March 2010 to January 2012, returned to the Championship club in an advisory role in October. QPR's next two matches are at Middlesbrough on Friday and home to Leeds next Saturday, suggesting an appointment before their trip to Reading on Thursday, 3 December. Former Leicester boss Nigel Pearson has been linked with a move to west London, while Burton Albion say they have not received an approach from the R's to speak to manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. Under Warnock's leadership, QPR were promoted to the Premier League in 2011 as winners of the Championship, but he was sacked the following January with the club 17th in the top flight. He had been out of management since being dismissed by Crystal Palace in December 2014, after four months in charge. After joining QPR in an advisory capacity to Ramsey in October, Warnock said "full-time management doesn't interest me any more". Rangers are 13th in the Championship table, eight points off the play-off places.
