EPL, we've been QPR, thank you and goodnight.
The worst team in premier league history and the worst Rangers team for many years. Fernandes has to take some blame, an abject lesson in how not to plan for a season, can't be too hard on him, but for a savvy business man he has been naive in the extreme.

Don't think people liked our last owners trying to get involved like that!

jj, just think that he should have exerted more control over the signings and seen the need for long term growth by putting in place a system that signed at least 2 or 3 eager, relatively unknown young players rather than the championship manager transfer policy style that he allowed Hughes to adopt.

I just hope that Fernandes stays on at QPR...LEARNS Lessons...Doesnt think he has to "Prove" Redknapp wrong choice... and so forth...
We're in a terrible, terrible position, and almost certainly going down.
This will be a test of our owners "Mettle" - Learn, adapt, move forward.
Because ignoring the perspective of why involved, etc, etc, clearly they have tried...Have put in/spent money... (whose money we'll find out)
Sadly though, it's not been spent well

Surely hughes should be blamed for who he chose to sign though not TF? If TF was ruling the managers signings there would be uproar again Damned if you do damned if you don't situation for poor tony I feel!

What else can anyone say?
Redknapp deserves better than to have his name linked with this shower of sh*te.
At least it won't be week on week of national humiliation in the Championship next season.

Don't think people liked our last owners trying to get involved like that! Shouldn't have brought in Hughes in the first place. Shouldn't have allowed Hughes to interview the club. Should have looked to build slowly but surely. You can't blame him for what he is trying to do. But he has been naive. Approx 20 new players and 3 managers have been here sonce he joined nearly 18 months ago. He now has a club that broken the record for the worst start ever in the Premiership. with our next batch of games being against Fulham(H) Newcastle(A) West Brom(H) Liverpool(H) Chelsea(A) Tottenham(H). I can't see us winning any of those games either. I thought last season was bad. This season is now humiliating.

In many ways, Fernandes seems like Chris Wright - another naive owner.
Hopefully Fernandes will respond better than Wright....who abandoned us.
I "blame" Fernandes for sticking with Hughes/ratifying his transfers, etc. But those kind of mistakes happen. It's how he responds now, will determine my view of Fernandes

Fernandes gets an easy ride because of how the previous owners treated the fans, fair enough. But, Fernandes and co didn't refund the outrageous season ticket hike as they had promised, instead they came up with a clever idea to issue vouchers which had to be redeemed by a certain date and spent in a certain way. How was that ever a refund? If was Fernandes who wanted the big names in, it was he who wanted Barton and co, the names of the big 'stars' were offered to Warnock. It was Fernandes and co who allowed Hughes to interview them and they subsequently lost control of certain aspects of his time here. It was Fernandes who had a rant at QPR fans for not being real fans when they wanted Hughes out. It was Fernandes who dithered when an important decision needed to be made and timing was key, got it wrong again. For someone who is big on PR and talking of supporters being stakeholders, Fernandes have little to properly engage with us, remember what the board told us about fans forums? Fernandes and co cannot even decide if we had a debt, have a debt or how we are going to pay for their mistakes. The previous lot were what they were, but they left with QPR in the premier league, although more by default than design, they delivered at least. This lot are taking us out of business, i don't blame Hughes or anyone else because the board has allowed and rubber stamped the signings of these 30 somethings with little to prove and a huge pay cheque and signing on fees. Every year three teams get relegated, and if QPR is one of those then so be it, we have no divine right to be in any division, but the way this lot have spunked money and risked the future of the club is nothing short of reckless. And as they are proving they have no plan B, and whilst it is good that they are investing in a new training ground and the youth structure, where is matters most, on the first team and the playing side, they have failed and failed like no other club in history as todays new record proves. Had that failure been achieved with a young side with potential built by spending frugally and with the future in mind, i could look the knockers of all those other clubs in the eye and defend my club, but it hasn't been done that way, one cannot defend the indifencible and there will be no funding for next season to make a promotion push, and few stars of any real value to sell. There are no further assets left, these lovely people haven't even paid out the money from the huge income of the premier league and brought the ground back into club ownership, have they? So what exactly have they done well? What do we pat them on the back for? For not being Tango and Cash? Ok, granted. What else? What else have they achieved that counter balances their performance as custodians of Queen's Park Rangers?

Managers have their favourite players who they want to take to every club they manage. Similarly, there are a lot of players out there who are clearly over the hill and chasing one last pay packet. And a lot of players who are simply mediocre, having never lived up to their early promise. Hence the need for the board to instil some quality control to the proceedings rather than blindly agreeing to buy every player the manager wants. Our squad is stuffed full of ageing mediocrity as a result of the board rolling over to the demands of our managers. I am not advocating interference in team selection or squad building, which is the managers role. Simply saying that the board needs to get a grip, implement some quality control and ensure that the right players are brought in on the right packages. The failure to do this absolutely sits with Tony, Amit and the other board members.

Its easy to say that in hindsight superckat but fact is if we'd kept NW we'd have probably gone down and everyone would be having a go at tony for not acting to keep us up. he did act. we stayed up. he let hughes sign players with a large sum of his money.... players who SHOULD have been good, but NO-ONE could have predicted how poorly hughes got them playing..no-one. Everyone seemed positive for this season but its been a humiliating disaster, I don't think TF can be blamed though. he even waited as long as humanly possible for hughes to turn things around. Fact is if Fernandes signed players over hughes head you wouldnt be happy. If he'd not let hughes spend money to strengthen you wouldn't be happy. If he'd kept hughes instead of getting redknapp you wouldn't have been happy. Like I say it feels a bit like TF can't win here! The players and hughes have to take 100% of the blame if you ask me. What a shower of sh*te they are. If I was TF I would feel sick paying their wages. But I don't agree TF should be controlling transfers himself one bit!

True jj and things on the club management side are light years ahead of where they were. Not suggesting that TF ruled over each signing but, as owner and effectively MD of the club, should have had a very detailed plan as to the types of signings required to sustain us in this league, clearly didn't and now we are where we are.
It seems that this wasn't done but will definitely need to be done in January to plan immediately for next season and thereafter as the Championship, as we know, can take years to get promoted from and less time to get relegated from!

None of of saw any of this coming I don't think. Like I say its easy to say things in hindsight. We're the naive ones for actually beleiving Hughes when he said we'd never be in this position again at the end of last season!!! No-one here thought we were going to struggle so much this time round...nevermind THIS badly.

Tony has got to shoulder a lot of the blame he could have spoken out against hughes transfer policy at times he was like a kid in a candy store we have messed up big time and may not get another shot at the premier league today we looked clueless diakite mbia looked clumsy and devoid of any creativity tarbs didnt turn up christ green saved us today and SWP again looked our most dangerous player which says alot i am worried that our club could be in serious trouble with finances next term choppy waters ahead,

Again though rico I ask you if you saw this coming in your crystal ball like you think TF should have done Diakite was a star last season. Mbia looks a good signing, granero we were told is world class, green an international keeper (who I still feel is every bit as good as cesar- arguably one of the worlds best - or was-), johnson, good signing, injury prone though...bosingwa, champions league winner, park - come on we ALL thought he was a seriously good and hard working player!!! None of these signings SHOULD have been as woeful as our league position suggests...I think we'd have been unhappy if TF had been blocking transfers and the like, its just easy for us to say things now we can look back and assess it all. TF cant predict the future and gave the manager all the backing, finances and support a lot of managers could only dream of. I feel for TF and can;t beleive people are now trying to blame him for any of this mess.

To me the blame lands on Hughes' shoulders for this mess. Tony signed the players Hughes wanted and didn't even spend that much money doing it to be perfectly honest, especially compared to teams like Stoke and Sunderland in recent years.
Yes Tony's been a bit naive but it's not him who chose the players to bring in, it's not him who loaned out DJ and sold Helguson and it's not him who had no man management skills leading to a divided squad, something 'Arry is now sorting out.
Some say he shouldn't have signed Hughes in the first place, well there was nobody out there at the time who was better and how was he to know how this would turn out?? We as fans certainly didn't know as I would say 95% of fans welcomed him with open arms.

I think Fernandes sticking with Hughes...Match after match...and to my eye, denigrating Fans...That was his worst fault

Exactly...some people here have VERY short memories...not least the fact that tonys actions were possibly what kept us up (though noone could prove we'd have gone down under NW obviously) We had some fantastic results and performances towards the end of last season. We all felt this year we'd be comfortable midtable and the signings over summer just reinforced that view. God knows what/where it all went so incredibly wrong but I think its all coming down to confidence now. Simple passing even goes wrong when you have no confidence left. I think/hope green and cisse will have had a boost today if nothing else. Think cisse should start next game. I even wonder if cancelling xmas was such a good idea, yes they dont deserve anything but at the same time is it going to help moral

Perhaps not when you don't seek office, but if you do seek office then blame will follow if it doesn't go well, regardless of good intentions. We can all see that TF has good intentions as did Capt. Smith when he tried to wrest the Blue Riband on the Titanic.
