What I find weirder are the amount of QPR fans defending him. Just had a look at WATRB's and they seem to be in love with the bloke. I find it surprising that most on here want him ousted. Baffles me?

Totally agree Steve. I also think the 'mind ur manners Squeaky' tweet is hilarious as have many people I've spoken to. I think people need to lighten up a little and perhaps look at themselves a bit more closely before attacking Barton so relentlessly. As you say, somebody angry in a car, losing their temper is something I've seen every day (even been known to do it myself) and is actually far more dangerous to life and limb than 'handbags' on a football pitch. Anyway, I really have said my last on Barton now. Hopefully the next things we say about him will be about his great performances on the pitch for us.

Baffles me? Forgetting all the other stuff, you think he is a good footballer ? You think we actually need him purely based on footballing ability ?

Baffles me? Because he is a thug and we can't rely on him to keep his head when needed. TF is trying to turn our club into a global brand and having Barton here will be a backwards step. If I was a player I would think twice about joining QPR while Joey is captain.

I wouldnt condone Bartons actions on Sunday but I can see why he reacted the way he did. Tevez started the incident by kicking him in the shins and flailing an arm and yet, once again, the officials only spotted the act of retaliation on his part. Lets face it this has been a theme for QPR this season. He then boiled over at the injustice of it all, and the more the city players tried to get him sent off the more he reacted angrily. Some people are placid, some people are hot-headed, Barton falls in to the latter category but in those moments when the red mists descend, common sense has precisely nothing to do with it. The next time any one of you becomes an enraged animal because someone cuts in at the cones on the motorway or pulls out of that junction in front of you, stop and think, because we label Barton a nutter but a lot of us are capable of what he did. When you look at some of those leg breaking tackles and elbows in the face on youtube it makes it wonder whether the press arent over reacting? Most people when they get road rage will honk the horn, or give the middle finger and swear, and not get out the car and have a riot. The ones that do will probably get done by the cops. Barton was our captain, and should have acted accordingly. It beggars belief that anyone should defend him.

Barton was our captain, and should have acted accordingly. It beggars belief that anyone should defend him. Exactly. I like our owners, but they have had to learn the harsh way with the whole Barton & SWP thing. The Barton thing should & will be regarded as an expensive mistake, glad that the owners have stepped in & admitted that they have F*cked up a bit here, leave the footballing decisions to footballing people, this is why you have scouting networks, so you can spot Giants like Diakite for a a few million quid & wingers can actually cross a football in to the box. Our marquee signings last year are amongst the worst signings this football club has made in its history, SWP was an unmitigated disaster, as for Barton, who gives a F*ck if he played well 5 or 6 times towards the end of the season, it was clearly a big mistake / error to sign him, as for making him QPR captain in a team full of leaders & champions, all you can say is dear oh dear, that was one of the worst, if not the worst, stifling for morale, poisonous decisions of the season made by someone in a management office, we hamstrung ourselves in terms of morale before we had even kicked a ball, we had "captains" all over the pitch & we made Joey Barton captain! Only at QPR!

I imagine if there had been a full blown brawl with Barton, Balotelli and Liam Gallagher, now that would have been Showbiz!

A team player cant let his blood boil when fouled. The number of Red Cards we have had this season contributed a large factor in relegation proximity lasting to the last few minutes of the season.

Barton has accepted one violent conduct charge (the kick on Aguero) but denied the other (attempt at nutting Kompany)

Reacting to being fouled by assaulting 3 opposition players or reacting to being fouled by ensuring that those fouls are picked up by the officials and carrying on in a professional manner even if they are not is the difference between a Premiership team and a pub team and I'm probably doing a disservice to pub teams.

QPR Official Site
FA STATEMENT
Wed 16 May 2012
Joey Barton has accepted an FA charge against him for violent conduct against Manchester City's Sergio Aguero.
The Queens Park Rangers player has denied a second charge of alleged violent conduct against Manchester City's Vincent Kompany.
The player has requested a personal hearing, the date of which has yet to be set.
Both charges against Barton are in relation to Sunday's match against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
Following the player's dismissal in the 54th minute of the fixture, there followed two incidents involving Aguero and Kompany.
As Barton had already been dismissed, both of these incidents fell outside of the jurisdiction of the referee.

They say there is no such thing as bad news. Sadly with Barton, the only news he has brought the club has always been just that. bad news, more trouble, bad media is not good for the fans nor the club. When you also consider his stupidity with twitter and also being the club captain, he has been a major PR disaster for the club. An embarrassment. At 29 and he still hasn't learned to just shut the F*** up at times and stop bringing our club into disrepute.
His stupid comment about not giving a shit because our club is still in the premier league says it all for me. Because of his lunatic behaviour he cost us 3 points at City and put 10 other guys under immense pressure. I bet the selfish overpaid cnut didn't of it like that did he? He wouldn't consider the bigger picture, just the 'Joey" picture. Well Joey, go away this summer and learn to pass, shoot, tackle, cross, take free kicks AND how to shut your F***en mouth.
Meanwhile England are off to the Ukraine. Poor Joey, misses out and he'll probably be wondering what it is he has done wrong.

Lone was it not 1-1 at the time of his sending off?
If Barton were on the pitch you could also say we might not have scored the second goal. Only having 10 men on the pitch meant MH had to change the team who came on Traore , who went on a great run down the left Traore , who crossed the ball for Mackie to dive onto?

Or maybe our goal machine Cisee would have scored another if he hadn't been sacrificed due to Bartons stupidity? We shall never know and it is all ifs and buts except that Barton should never again wear the hopped shirt of QPR.

Have to find a way to get rid of him, otherwise it makes the club look pretty F*cking weak & stupid as well as destabilising us before the new season has even started.
I've said it before & I'll say it again, I hope our owners have learnt from the whole Barton & SWP thing, not only have they learnt, I thinks it fair to say they have probably learnt the hard way!

Lone in the first half we had eleven men on the pitch and went in 1-0. They all worked hard to keep it at that it was only because Paddy flapped we conceded.

What do we reckon will be the least amount of games he will sit out ? 10. I fully expect the FA to throw the rule book at him and him though.

The term i think is conjecture mate. The fact is, Barton was disgraceful with his behaviour, especially AFTER the red card was issued in a game of vast importance played out in front the biggest worldwide audience our team have ever played.
