No matter whether you think Barton Has played well for us this season, look at the games he has missed.
It stood out a mile how much we missed him at Norwich & during his recent suspension.
The problem with Barton is not on the pitch but with his inability to think before twittering.

Love him or hate him, we wouldnt have won today without joey. Makes a hell of a difference in the middle of the park for us. His booking was a joke, was fouled at least 5 times in the 1st half nothing given. Makes one tackle booked, shocking.I agree he should keep his trap shut, but i dont disagree with anything hes said. Hes been proved right. Hughes 3 games 2wins. Warnock 16 games 2 wins. Must also applaud our back four today, and you one size! Buzz was superb today, i thought he was finished proved me wrong. Now lets concentrate on getting them 6 or 7 wins we are going to need.

I thought he had a good game today but I'm still pissed off with him. I thought he led the team very well and defensively was quite good as well. Made an important tackle which led up to our 3rd.

Generally though I thought he played well. Still want him out ASAP though, it feels like he is disrespecting the club and the fans while he wears the blue and white hoops.

At the end of the day yes he came to qpr and maybe no-one else wanted him but NW bought him knowing what he is like. todays game showed how he can play and hold his temper. whatever people think about joey he is class simple as that he has been in the top flight too long not to be. he joined and after a short time realised what a joke the training, tactics and fitness training was and thought this is a joke and gave up before he even started. Yep, that's just what we expect from a captainit is clear to see look at todays performance, tactics, confidence and clear sign of stamina in all the players, even mackie did not look so shattered after 70 minutes as usual. clear signs that professional training is taking place. Wow less than a fortnight to achieve all that. This manager lark is a piece of cakeOh and also buz is actually getting a look in now instead of the old managers favourites. Of course he would have been playing ahead of Tarbs and Faurlin if they were availableWhat a difference a premiere manager makes. You are taking the p*ss!!

Dave McINtyre/West London Sport Hughes: Barton’s tweeting ‘not a concern’ Mark Hughes remains unconcerned by Joey Barton’s antics on Twitter – despite the midfielder’s stinging attack on former boss Neil Warnock. Barton was at the centre of yet more controversy on Friday when he used a number of tweets to mock Warnock, who was recently replaced as manager by Hughes. The new man at the helm previously explained that he would only object to Barton’s tweeting if it related to team affairs. Warnock was mocked by Barton. And he insists the player’s remarks about Warnock do not fit into that bracket. Hughes said: “No, it’s not a concern at this stage. I think Joey understands that what happens in the dressing room stays there. “If I felt that was going to be compromised then we’d have a conservation and talk it through, but I haven’t felt the need to do that.” Referring to Barton’s criticism of Warnock, the Welshman added: “Joey wants to be successful – that’s why he came here. “Perhaps he felt a little bit of frustration because he felt it wasn’t going as well as he’d hoped. “We’re here to help him and help the team remain in the Premier League, and then who knows where we could go. It’s why I’m here. It’s why Joey’s here. We want to be successful.” And Hughes dismissed suggestions that Barton puts too much pressure on himself by ensuring he remains in the spotlight. “Some players thrive on it [pressure]. There are some players who can’t handle it. For Joey it’s water off a duck’s back,” he said. www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/hughes-bartons-tweeting-not-a-concern/

Joey Barton tweets: I'm going to Alcoholics Anonymous Published 22:30 22/01/12 By MirrorFootball . Football bad boy Joey Barton is going to Alcoholics Anonymous, he revealed on Twitter last night. The Queens Park Rangers captain, 29, tweeted: “Am off out AA meeting and then back for the NFL.” After being quizzed by his followers, he added: “AA=Alcoholics Anonymous. Loads to be learned if u have a problem or not. Usually most do...or did! Like moi.” Asked if AA was meant to be anonymous, he replied: “suppose its up to u.” Barton said he was speaking out to help others battling drink problems: “I am no different because I kick a ball and am known. I have many failings,” he said. Quoting The Smiths, he added: “I am human and I need to be loved.” When Barton was at Newcastle United in 2008 he revealed he had gone teetotal to save his career. He was jailed that year for a booze-fuelled assault in Liverpool the previous Christmas. www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Joey-Barton-tweets-I-m-going-to-Alcoholics-Anonymous-article856612.html

we read bartons tweets, every one knows he likes to air he's thoughts and he is not shy in giving them.
my personal opinion is that the board have favoured him, even to the point that joey Vs staff, joey wins.
i don't know about curle, and i'm sure this would of been highlighted more if true,
last season was fine, this season is not. reminds me of conan doyle's holmes theory.

I don't think there's any doubt about that. The club leak that Warnock was so upset about, sure doesn't seem to have been sealed. The only question is whether the club is doing all it can to seal the leak. Or doesnt mind if certain things get out. As for the concept of retweeting, there basically a few reasons for doing: - Because it's very interesting - Because it's so inane and counter to what you believe and you want others to see - Because you support what it says - Because it puts you in a good light - Because it's said by someone very important (such as your boss)
