I really hope the board know what there doing!!?? Already a week into the transfer window & what happens if we don't have a new manager in place by Sunday?? We go to newcastle on Sunday with no manager & no additions to the squad which we really, really need!!................

Good timing IMO.

Bad timing IMO would have been waiting until the Wigan match & having to get rid of Neil Warnock if we lose that one.
The cup replay & the potential Chelsea tie is good news for us, players need to be motivated & "up & at 'em" for that match, its a good scenario for a new manager & not the obviously un-ideal scenario of going straight in to the crucial Wigan match.

The way Philip Beard spoke on SSN it makes me think they have someone lined up certainly, he said "this was the right time, we hope to bring someone in very soon, someone who we think will help us fulfill the ambitions of the owners and the fans".
The way he said "someone we think"... makes me think they have someone lined up anyway.

Only time will tell if this was good/bad timing. I'm truly grateful for everying NW did and I hope this isn't his last job in management. I truly hope that he'll carry on as the game needs characters. There are too many bumbling murmuring managers with little or no personality and without NW the game is worse for it.
As for who's next it should be Hughes. There is nobody out there who not only is right for us but would be an improvement on NW.

hi guys call me mad if you like but i heard from rangers early this morning that warnock had gone last night and hughes had given the board 4 players he wants in and defoe was one of them.they dont know the other 3 but have heard defoe in a 9million bid. also and again i will be called crazy and making it up but i can assure you i am not but beckham to work alongside hughes.
interesting as he was in manchester today on the day it was announced. when i saw him there today was when i wondered if what was said to me was correct and then whaty do you know the warnock part was confirmed. then hughes installed as 1-5 favourite. the only part of the rumour to be confirmed for me now is the beckham bit.
could be true.

london when the bookies put someone in at odds of 1-5 you can pretty much put your life on it that they are in the know.
i for one believe that we will attract a better quality of player now.

How can the timing be good ? and how do you actually know if Hughes has watched a single premiership game anywhere let alone a QPR game? Assuming he can jst walk in and put right everything and sign whoever out of there respect for him is i feel wrong.I would hope he knows our defence is crap and forwards cant score. but I would only be guessing.

Up and up I think man. Hughes, who worked with SWP at City and signed loads of great players for them. Hughes who took Fulham to 8th and got them qualified. Nice one Tony!
