Reckon it will be a loan Loan Pav or Defoe , Loan GK - poss Gomez , buy two defenders , hopefully Onuoha , Bassong or Ridgewell and maybe something like that is just enough , probably only need one decent forward if DJ is back .Bit of a Spurs get together. Of course theres the loan of the Man City Midfielder possibly aswell , maybe dont want to buy any more than two in case we go down , easier if loans , would SWP ,Barton , Faurlin , Young Ferdie want to play in the Champs , hard enough to talk them to stay if we did drop down , suppose it makes sense?

wide left is where we need to sign, or maybe bridge on loan from city then push traroe up to left mid, also a cb or two, another cm as injuries and suspensions are bound to happen later in the season, and a cf as well, all in all i reckon four players should do us.

If Taarabt goes would we still only be getting four players , maybe fours the right number anymore could unsettle the team . Two permanents and 2 loans possoibly but Taarbs fee would pay for one of the permanents so maybe his fee is included in the 10-15 million spend . Im more worried with defenders and a Forward , we need Goals number one and a few more clean sheets , but if Tarbs is going only right we get a replacement in , could get Hogan in for back up aswell but still not convinced Buzacky should be anything more than on the bench player in this League , be pleased if he proves me wrong .

I'm pretty sure that Barton, SWP, Ferdinand etc will have relegation release clauses in their contracts which allow them to leave for a certain amount of money. We should really not be looking at Gomes he is shockingly bad, I'd rather have Lewis, pav will go to Russia Defoe will stay at spurs, we will most likely sign a centre mid from a lesser Prem or championship team and I reckon ridgewell will sign for us, onouha will stay up north to be with his mum. Puncheon will go back from his loan so that will free up another space in the 25 man squad. I can't see us doing huge business in this window it will just be reinforcements.

Dave Mc Neil Warnock will hold an important meeting with QPR’s board on Monday to discuss his plans for the January transfer window. The Rangers manager is expected to sign several players next month, with a striker and a versatile defender his top priorities. But he continues to play down the possibility of another spending spree – and has suggested he may focus on loan signings. “On Monday we’ve got a good meeting. We’ve actually got everybody together from all over the globe; Tony [Fernandes], Amit Bhatia and a couple of others,” said Warnock. Fernandes is keen for Warnock to make major signings.“It’s what I wanted before Christmas. It’s nice to get them all together rather than via these computer links. It’s difficult on the telephone and stuff, with time gaps and all sorts, so I’m pleased. “I’m not silly. I’ll go with propositions to them. I think we need to use whatever finance we have in two areas and I’m going to look to bring in some loan players to supplement that. “The best business is always done in the summer, so I don’t want to pay stupid prices in January.” Rangers are expected to table a big-money bid for Tottenham and England striker Jermain Defoe and are monitoring Andrew Johnson’s situation at Fulham.
Johnson’s current contract expires next summer and he has been discussing a new deal at Craven Cottage.A number of defenders have also been identified as possible signings, but players in other positions may arrive on loan. Warnock added: “If I can get one or two targets I want, then yes we’ll pay money. But other than that, I’m looking at the loan market.” www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/qpr-chiefs-to-hold-transfer-meeting/

JERMAIN DEFOE: I CAN'T STAY
Jermain Defoe is likely to be on the bench again for the visit of Sunderland tomorrow Daily Express JERMAIN DEFOE will spark a scramble for his signature in January after saying he is no longer prepared to sit on Tottenham’s bench.
England striker Defoe scored in the 4-0 win over Shamrock Rovers in Dublin on Thursday but that was not enough to earn Spurs a place in the draw for the Europa League knockout stages.
As a result, his best chance to impress Fabio Capello ahead of Euro 2012 has gone as Defoe fears he will not be given a chance in the Premier League to press his claims for a place on the plane to Poland and Ukraine.
Despite scoring nine goals this season, Defoe has been rewarded with just six league starts and, even though he has scored in four of them, he is likely to be on the bench again for the visit of Sunderland tomorrow, with Emmanuel Adebayor and Rafael van der Vaart set to continue as Harry Redknapp’s first-choice pair.
Defoe had insisted he was happy to fight for his place but, unable to make an impact despite his goalscoring record, he now feels he can no longer afford to wait for regular first-team football.
If I was 21 I could sit on my hands, but I am 29, I need to play football – it is as simple as that Jermain Defoe
“If I was 21 I could sit on my hands, but I am 29, I need to play football – it is as simple as that,” he said.
“There is a tournament in the summer. I have been lucky enough to play in one for my country. I want to play in one again because I know I will do well.
“If I am not doing it, then I hold my hands up and say, ‘I shouldn’t be playing’. But if I am doing well, I feel sharp – and I have never felt so sharp – and my record is good.”
Defoe spent the summer in intensive training in the south of France preparing for what he knew would be a big season with an international tournament at the end.
Redknapp has hailed his attitude and has said Defoe is going nowhere in January, despite likely interest from QPR, Sunderland and Newcastle.
Defoe, though, is fed up with being taken for granted and wants to know what more he can do to get the action he craves.
“I am working hard in the gym,” he said. “I did a lot of work in the summer and I am not going to waste it by sitting on the bench.
“It is hard to explain the feeling when you are starting games, scoring, the team is winning and you don’t play the next game.
“It is well documented I have been in the team, scored goals and then been taken out – for whatever reason, I don’t know.
“It is important that when you get a chance, you take it – like I have always done, like I have done this season. I took my chance in two games running by scoring goals. That’s all I can do.”
Defoe’s mood has not been helped by the way he has been asked to carry Spurs’ half-hearted Europa League campaign while senior stars have been left at home, but Redknapp has said the competition was never one of his priorities.
UEFA will take no action against Redknapp for appearing to gesture at Shamrock Rovers fans during the Europa League tie. A spokesman said: “Nothing was mentioned in the official reports.”

Get the cheque book out Neil Man City duo to be refused loan moves Published 22:55 17/12/11 By Derick Allsop . Manchester City will listen to offers for Wayne Bridge and Nedum Onuoha – but will not let them go out on loan. City boss Roberto Mancini explained: “If we take a player from another club, we pay a lot of money, yet other clubs want to take players from us on loan. It is not correct. “Onuoha and Bridge are good players and I hope we can find a good solution for them in January. “I hope for them that they can find good clubs who will pay for their value and they can continue to play football.”

QPR lead the chase for Rangers striker Published 22:27 18/12/11 By Alan Nixon
. QPR boss Neil Warnock has jumped to the front of the race for Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic.
Warnock’s spies watched the Croatian in action at the weekend in Rangers’ 2-1 win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle and he is ready to outbid Sunderland for the marksman.
The Hoops chief plans to move fast – with Sunderland rival Martin O’Neill putting Jelavic on a short-list of potential signings but not as first choice.
Jelavic will be sold by Rangers if the right offer comes in when the January transfer window opens. The Glasgow club value the player at a staggering £10million, but QPR could get the price down to around £7million and strike a deal.
Jelavic has been a huge hit in Scotland but is still a ‘gamble’ in Premier League terms.
However, Warnock’s spies like what they have seen and the manager has been told he has funds to bring in players.
Warnock wants three new players down the spine of his side and is also looking for a centre-half and a midfield leader

Pavlyuchenko looked good for Spuds this weekend. Are we still interested in him? Hope not. Spurs fans know better than anyone what he is like and according to them SPurs might as well be down to 10 men when he is on the pitch. He may have scored yesterday but he missed an absolute sitter, possibly worse than DJ's.

Warnock discusses January transfer targets . Neil Warnock was today meeting QPR's major shareholders armed with his list of targets for the January transfer window.
It was the first time chairman Tony Fernandes, vice-chairman Amit Bhatia and directors Kamarudin Bin Meranun and Ruben Emir Gnanalingam have met with the club's manager as a group.
Warnock believes QPR need three to four new signings to ensure they remain competitive in the Barclays Premier League and today he was due to learn of the budget at his disposal.
"I have met them all individually, but it's great to get them together," he said.
"On the end of the phone is never the same as when you sit down with these guys. We'll go through targets and recommendations.
"They are nice people. All of them are enthusiastic and want what is best for us, which is a great recipe.
"We will be looking to take on loan two or three players, a couple from England and one from abroad.
"We want players like (Tottenham full-back) Kyle Walker, who we took last season and we turned into an England international. We want to pick the brains of the top clubs.
"We do need improvement - we need three to four players into the squad to give us solidity. We are shipping goals a bit too easily.
"We rushed what we could before the summer transfer deadline day but when we had injuries at centre-half, it was difficult to get people in that position.
"We have to assess the squad to give ourselves a chance."
Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic and Fulham forward Bobby Zamora are the latest names to be linked with moves to Loftus Road next month.
Warnock insists that despite the cash available following the takeover, QPR will only spend wisely in what he hopes will be the last busy January transfer window he experiences.
"I won't be doing anything just for the sake of it," he said.
"We've targeted who we want and we do need improving, but I'd like to think this will be the final January in which we need three or four new players.
"If you do your business right and you establish yourself, then you do your business in the summer, but that wasn't really possible for us this season.
"It's been a difficult period to get people in and then integrate them all."

QPR aim to add four new faces in January Published 22:30 19/12/11 By Ian Winrow
Neil Warnock wants to bring in four new players to his squad next month.
The QPR boss is anxious to continue the rebuilding that began in the final days of the August window following the club’s takeover.
And he hopes to seal three deals before the Newcastle game on January 15.
Warnock wants a striker and has been linked with Tottenham’s Jermain Defoe, Fulham’s Bobby Zamora and Nikica Jelavic of Rangers.
But he also intends using the loan market to pick up at least one young fringe player from the top six clubs.
He said: “We will be looking to loan two or three players, a couple from England and one from abroad.”
He refused to be drawn on Jelavic and Zamora.
“I think I’ve just got to keep everything to my chest,” he said

Arsenal set to sell Arshavin in January. Arsene Wenger is ready to offload Andrey Arshavin - and will listen to offers for him in January. The Russian playmaker has struggled to hold down a regular place in the side this season and has admitted he is frustrated as he battles to make his country's Euro 2012 squad. Arsenal will not let Arshavin go unless they find a replacement. But the fact they are in the market to make big signings in January should spell the end for him in north London. Borussia Dortmund's Mario Gotze and Lukasz Podolski of Cologne are both on Arsenal's radar as they look to strengthen in the next window. And a move to bring back former Emirates hero Thierry Henry on loan from New York Red Bulls has not been ruled out. Arshavin's former club Zenit St Petersburg are interested in taking him back to Russia, while Lokomotiv Moscow have had an approach about a six-month loan knocked back. Arsenal were ready to listen to offers last summer, but there were no serious takers after a disappointing season, with Turkey's Galatasaray didn't follow up with a concrete offer. The situation is a source of frustration for the Gunners, who even renegotiated the terms of the 30-year-old's contract to help with a tax issue. Arshavin has struggled for form this season and is in danger of becoming unpopular with fans. Arsenal also know that the player's value is diminishing, because of his age, is one of the club's top earners and will be out of contract at the end of next season. That leaves the club facing a major dilemma - do they sell now and cut their losses or face taking an even bigger hit on a player who was their £12million record signing two years ago. It has been a stop-start career at Arsenal for Arshavin and now he is facing crunch decisions over his future. With Gervinho just weeks away from departing on African Cup of Nations duty with Ivory Coast, Wenger will not sanction the Russian's exit unless the Gunners bring in some big-name replacements. Gotze and Podolski would certainly fit the bill and Arsenal have big money to spend. A major arrival in January would allow them to sanction the exit of Arshavin and perhaps misfit striker Marouane Chamakh, who is a target for Paris Saint-Germain, his former club Bordeaux and Queens Park Rangers.www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/transfer-news/Arsenal-transfer-gossip-Andrey-Arshavin-will-be-sold-in-January-provided-replacement-is-signed-article844736.html

QPR boss weighs up swoop for Arsenal and Tottenham stars Ian Cooper Tuesday, December 20, 2011 12:00 PM Warnock eyeing loan moves for Frimpong and Livermore CommentsEmailPrintGot a story? Neil Warnock has identified Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong and Tottenham youngster Jake Livermore as two of his targets for the January transfer window. The QPR boss is scouring the top Premier League clubs for loan signings, with Frimpong and Livermore high on his list of targets as he seeks to increase competition for places in midfield. Frimpong broke into the Arsenal first team at the start of the season, but has made just eight appearances since then and is set to fall further down the pecking order once Jack Wilshere makes his expected return from an ankle injury in February. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger believes Frimpong has a bright future at the Emirates but wants the 19-year-old to gain first-team experience, while Warnock is keen to repeat the success Spurs defender Kyle Walker enjoyed while on loan with the Rs last season. “The type of players who I’m looking to loan are players who are trying to establish themselves at their current club, somebody who could get some experience at Premier League level that they might not get at their own club,” said Warnock. “In the top six or seven clubs it’s very difficult for young players to get involved. There are four or five players at the top clubs who we may be able to get hold of. “You’ve got to look for players where you can benefit them and they can help you. If the club think they can benefit by the player coming to you then it’s an ideal scenario. “If we can sign one or even two I’d be delighted. They’ll be last minute jobs, I think, where clubs can’t sell a player and decide to get his wages off the bill. We’ve got to wheel deal. “I think we made Kyle Walker what he is today; we gave him the platform, the experience and the confidence. He went on and on from there.” Meanwhile, Tottenham midfielder Livermore has made nine Premier League appearances, and Spurs manager Harry Redknapp admitted this week that the 22-year-old has drawn the attention of top-flight clubs. “Some of the young kids can go out on loan now and play. It will do them good,” said the Tottenham manager. “I’ve already had Premier League clubs wanting to loan Jake, but I don’t know if I will loan him out because at the moment we’ve only got Scott Parker, Luka Modric and Sandro.” Warnock is keen to avoid a repeat of the mayhem of the summer’s transfer window, and wants to get at least one of the deals wrapped up before his side travel to Newcastle on January 15. “We’d like to get two or three players in before the Newcastle game,” he said. “We’ve got Norwich [on 2 January] and the FA Cup game against MK Dons, and then I’d like have people in by the next league match.” www.london24.com/sport/championship/qpr_2_5433/qpr_boss_weighs_up_swoop_for_arsenal_and_tottenham_stars_1_1158170?

What happens when Barton is suspended again or either of them get injured?? We can't always depend on Derry as back up.
