Very much doubt BRFC would accept £12m for both. Hoilett is worth about £9m and Samba £8m.

Forget transfer trolley dash, if Queens Park Rangers are to fulfil big plans they must spend wisely to avoid relegation
It’s a huge month for Queens Park Rangers. The club’s new owners, Tony Fernandes and Amit Bhatia, took control at the end of August and embarked on an immediate frenzy of transfer activity with little time to really plan.
Pointing the way: QPR's Joey Barton was one of the first new signings manager Neil Warnock made after the club was taken over by Tony Fernandes and Amit Bhatia Photo: ACTION IMAGES By Jason Burt, Deputy Football Correspondent11:00PM GMT 05 Jan 2012 Comment In came Joey Barton, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Luke Young and so on. The transfer fees weren’t huge but the wages, the liabilities for the club, were big. But there was also a nagging doubt as to whether manager Neil Warnock had bought wisely in his last-minute trolley dash. QPR sit in 17th place in the Premier League just one place, and one point, above the drop zone. If they are there come May then it will be a successful season, albeit a nerve-shredding one, but there has been a growing sense of trepidation as the team have slid down the table in recent weeks. Fernandes, a savvy Malaysian businessman — is extremely hot on social networking and has even asked supporters for suggestions on Twitter as to who the club should buy – has grand plans for a new stadium and to make Rangers the team in Asia. But he knows they have to stay in the Premier League. Fernandes and QPR’s chief executive, Phil Beard, who was appointed after working for the London 2012 Olympic bid committee and as the O2 Arena’s chief executive, are new to football so there’s always the danger that they might have to pay over the odds and might not be able to easily navigate their way around the shark-infested transfer market. RELATED ARTICLES Warnock vents his fury at FA 05 Jan 2012 Barton accuses FA of hypocrisy 04 Jan 2012 QPR's Barton appeal over red card fails 04 Jan 2012 Barton might sue over red card 03 Jan 2012 Warnock: no confidence in Barton appeal 03 Jan 2012 Rangers have their targets — at least two permanent signings including a 'big-name’ striker (and yes they have discussed a bid for Aston Villa’s Darren Bent before quickly accepting it would be far too expensive) and another loan player to add to Manchester United’s young striker, Federico Macheda. Money needs to be spent. Earlier this week Fernandes, and Warnock, travelled to Manchester for talks over signing City’s Nedum Onuoha but they face competition from other clubs interested in the defender. An added complication is that Fernandes, who previously tried to buy West Ham United last June, has other businesses to run, not least the airline AirAsia, and rarely spends two nights together in London as he travels the world. That should change next year as he concentrates more on QPR but he will want to make sure he does so with them still in the top flight. It could be a crucial few weeks ahead.

Fulham Chronicle Adel Taarabt's QPR future 'in the balance' - Warnock By Paul Warburton Jan 6 2012 ADEL Taarabt’s future at QPR hangs in the balance – despite the midfielder’s return to form. Neil Warnock admitted the mercurial talent might have played his last game in hoops even though he has had his eyes opened by Taarabt’s performances during the holiday games. The 22-year-old is on the way to the African Cup of Nations with Morocco, as is team-mate Armand Traore for Senegal. But the Rangers boss was guarded over keeping a player who has caused him more than a few headaches in the recent past. “I just don’t know honestly, and it would be fair to say what happens to Adel is in the balance,” said Warnock. “I’ve not received any firm bids for him, but there is two and a bit weeks to go in the window – and we’ll have to wait and see. “I don’t think it will matter he’s away with Morocco. These days deals can be done easily with modern technology. “But he’s been fantastic for us over the last few games. He knew he had to knuckle down and become more of a team player – and he has. “He’s lost weight, looked sharper, and been an all-round better player.” But there has been constant speculation linking the former Spurs player with a host of European clubs, notably Paris St Germain. Warnock even joked that if the French came in with a multi-million pound bid for Taarabt, he would drive him there himself. Team-mate Shaun Derry also reckoned the midfielder was in danger of wasting his talent, and Taarabt sat out all of November and most of December no thanks to a ‘stomach complaint’ and lack of form. However, his link-up play against Norwich, Arsenal and Swansea made him arguably the Rangers player over Christmas, and Rangers would be looking for a minimum £6million from would-be suitors. www.fulhamchronicle.co.uk/london-sport/london-qpr/2012/01/06/adel-taarabt-s-qpr-future-in-the-balance-warnock-82029-30069292/?#ixzz1if9df9VP

I hope we don't sign Bridge on loan. Sign him permanently ok but on loan no thanks. He showed last season that he didn't give two hoots as relegation wasn't ever going to affect him. If he came on loan and we went down he'd go back to Man City so why put the effort it whilst here. If he signed permanently and had the threat of relegation and possible drop in salary as a result then he might put some effort it.
He's been woeful for a couple of seasons since the Terry issue and unless he's got his head straight I can't see him doing any better than Hill - and I mean that completely and utterly.

Wayne Bridge is just cover for our talented Traore. So if a loan deal was agreed with the aforementioned then it would not impact heavily should Wayne adopt that "who cares" attitude. That is unless Armand were to unfortunately get himself injured whilst in Africa.

Re: taarabt I really think we should try and hold on to him , losing arguably our best player just Isnt going to help and as the article says hes returned to form and looked good the last few games. Seems nw is always putting him down and joking at his expense. wish he was more positive and supportive about him. I know hes far from faultless or blameless but he really does seem to have become more of a team player and was putting in some great through balls the last few games.

Excuse me if it sounds a trifle rude old chap, but what is your connection with QPR Lenny ? I enjoy & value reading your comments about Brazilian & Portuguese Football, but just wondered how you came across a QPR messageboard & seemingly so knowledgeable about our little club ? I cant believe there are too many folk in Brazil that know too much about the mighty QPR ?! QPR Brazil Connections ? ER Dunga, that's all I can think of off the top of my head lol

According to the SSN transfer rumour round up this morning Blackburn have rejected a £1.5m for Yakubu from us. Apparently Yak has a clause in his contract if they get relegated so he can leave.

He;d be a good signing if we had someone pacey to play off him as well...not sure that clause will help seeing as we're going down with them anyway

Not at all rude klr. Having lived most of my live in the Aldershot area I followed the R's since I saw them beat my hometown team and fell in love with Rodney back in 67. Moved down here in 2004, since when (following lengthy and expensive negotiations with Mrs Lenny) I manage to get back to see one of the opening games and the final home game of each season.
The messageboards are the best way of keeping in touch with what is going on back at LR and far more informative than what is spouted in the press. The great thing about us being back in the PL is that at long long last we are actually appearing on the TV down here although watching us play with the Brasilian commentators takes a bit of getting used to!
You would be surprised at how many people down here are now aware of us, and at long last you can even buy QPR shirts down here! Of course, as a teacher, all my students are very much aware of who QPR are. We are no longer "leetle koo pee ahhh".
Hope that helps

London 24 - Midfielder’s QPR future hangs in the balance Friday, January 6, 2012 Neil Warnock believes Adel Taarabt’s future is still up in the air The future of QPR playmaker Adel Taarabt is still in the balance according to Neil Warnock but claims there have not been any bids for the Morrocan. The 22-year-old has struggled to adjust to the Premier League and has been a target for free-spending French club Paris St Germain and also with Italian side Napoli. The west London club will be missing Taarabt when he goes to the African Cup of Nations and a move could still happen while he is away. “I just don’t know honestly, and it would be fair to say what happens to Adel is in the balance,” said Warnock. “I’ve not received any firm bids for him, but there is two and a bit weeks to go in the window and we’ll have to wait and see. “I don’t think it will matter he’s away with Morocco. These days deals can be done easily with modern technology. “But he’s been fantastic for us over the last few games. Loans won't keep us up, what do they care? Go back to the parent club regardless of where we finish. Someone on a contract that loses half his dosh if we go down will fight much harder! Anyone deemd to be good enough to actually keep us up would get us back up shirley?
As for Bridge, what Rory said.

Sign him up! ;D and cpr you are right about the loans on the whole, i do think macheda will try hard to prove himself, but i suppose the likes of bridge if manchini is right he will just be happy to get mnoney and not care how he plays or even IF he plays! bit of a worry for us.
