Cant say I'd heard of him until we were linked but seem a decent player...but with players from other leagues its always about how they adapt.

Of course IF we were to sign Del Piero then at least we would actually have a set piece taker in the squad. After all he still is one of the best free kick takers still playing.

Wouldnt want Del Piero at QPR , not for me , weve been down the last swansong route too many times over the years mostly as failures , need hungry players to keep us up i feel !

this rangers player scares the shit out of me at the money being bandied about. we need goals and not gambles, and warnock is probably the worst manager in the world at buying strikers, so i cant even give it the old 'in warnock we trust' shout. not too keen on this rumour, not at all. but to be honest the only player that would please me and show me that the board has real ambition is wee jermaine.

Linked to Amauri from Juventus is another one. Anyone know anything about him? About 7 or 8 years ago he was probably in the top 20 strikers in Europe. Well past it now and looking for a last pay day.

Hooper snubs Premier League interest in hunt for new Celtic deal By Sportsmail Reporter Celtic striker Gary Hooper is planning to sign a new deal despite attracting the attention of many Premier League clubs, including Newcastle, Sunderland and Queens Park Rangers. He has struck 15 times this season and with Celtic in a hot streak of form, Hooper is set on helping his side to the title. Challenge: Celtic's Gary Hooper is hoping to propel his side to the title Loyalty: Hooper is planning on staying at Celtic despite Premier League interest 'We are pleased to be representing Gary Hooper exclusively and are meeting Celtic next week to discuss Gary’s situation,' Hooper's agent Simon Dent told skysports.com. 'He’s loving life in Glasgow and really enjoying his football up there. 'We have had interest from a number of clubs in England but at the moment Gary is focused on winning the SPL with Celtic.' The 23-year-old striker's goals helped Celtic overhaul a 15 point deficit on Rangers at the end of 2011. Isn't that the same guy who said Zamora was a done deal?? He said QPR are interested in Berbatov, not that it was a done deal. Lots of tweeters asked him if he was serious about this Berbatov tweet and he unequivocably replied yes every time, so he is pretty confident that this has legs. Again, he's not saying that this is what will happen but it appears that there is a much better possibility of this than any of us would have first imagined.

newcastle are bidding 3 mill for some 19 year old 6ft 2 centre back from sheffield united called harry mcguire. wish we were going for someone like that rather than older been round the blockers at the back. wonder what that huddersfield striker jordan rhodes will be like for west ham when they get him for just over 3 mill. 20 in 20 and four in one game last week.

He and McIntyre seem to think Zamora is the most likely signing. Lots can happen between now and the end of January, although I think NW is going to try and get his men in early this time.

Yes I did Mike, still won't believe it though. Dave Mac doesn't seem to be very 'ITK' at the moment though.
Maybe knowing Warnocks track record with strikers I could slightly believe the Zamora rumours but I just can't see it. For a start HH will probably score more goals this season and DJ is better as well.

Zamora doesnt excite me , worry that he could play all 17 games etc . Would rather Hooper and Defoe , Berbatovs an interesting one , decent player but is he the one reqd in a relegation scrap ,? Suppose Zamoras more use to that than Defoe/Berba .

QPR have made a £7million bid for Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic. Rangers manager Ally McCoist confirmed an offer had been placed prior to Wednesday's Old Firm game. Impressive: Nikica Jelavic has been amongst the goals at Rangers He said: 'Somebody at the club had mentioned it to me before kick-off, which was all I needed, to be frank.' West Bromwich Albion manager Roy Hodgson was in the crowd for the game as was Everton manager David Moyes but both clubs would struggle to match QPR's offer let alone Rangers' £10m valuation. Jelavic moved to Rangers in a £4million deal with Rapid Vienna in the summer of 2010 and has scored 28 goals in 43 appearances for the side. In the market: QPR boss Neil Warnock looks set to be busy in January Sunderland and Liverpool have also been linked with the 26-year-old who is enjoying the best goal-scoring spell in his career but McCoist added: 'What will happen, will happen.' Meanwhile, Neil Warnock has added Aston Villa's James Collins to his list of potential defensive targets with Blackburn's Chris Samba also figuring.
