No he is an Adel type player who has a good attitude. He knocked us out the FA Cup last season. Very tricky and pacey player who is very good at shooting.

Really hope we don't get Pav from Spurs after watching him tonight. He came on at HT and since then Spurs have lost their threat on the attack. Terrible first touch and really slow, can't take players on at all either.

QPR in the frame for Arsenal reject Hleb Former Arsenal midfielder Alexander Hleb has been offered to Queens Park Rangers after his latest career setback. Hleb, 30, left Arsenal to join Barcelona three years ago but his latest loan spell at Wolfsburg has not worked out and the Spanish club are looking to offload him again. Belarus international Hleb, who also had a spell on loan at Birmingham last season, is surplus to requirements at Barcelona who are ready to release him if QPR will take over his contract. Hleb, who once wrote to Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admitting he made a mistake leaving and asking for another chance, has been offered round the Premier League but it is believed only QPR showed any level of interest www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/transfer-news/QPR-in-the-frame-for-Barcelona-midfielder-and-former-Arsenal-reject-Alex-Hleb-article845691.html

EXCLUSIVE: Sunderland to bid £8m for Zamora . Sunderland boss Martin O’Neill is ready to offer £8million for Fulham’s unsettled striker Bobby Zamora - but faces a fight to make him move from London. O’Neill wants a new target man and thinks the England cap would be perfect for the style he wants to play to turn round the fortunes of the Black Cats. Zamora can leave Fulham where he has had a stormy relationship with Martin Jol, but the far-travelled forward is settled in the capital. O’Neill could push the boat out and offer top terms, but the word from Zamora’s camp is that the next move is not just about money. New boss O’Neill can only wait so long for Zamora as his second choice - Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic - is being pursued by rivals, headed by QPR. Sunderland are also chasing Senegalese striker Papiss Cisse but German side Freiburg want a big fee although that may come down during the window - and as they face a possible relegation. www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/transfer-news/Sunderland-preparing-8m-bid-for-Fulham-striker-Bobby-Zamora-article845728.html

Sorry missed this one earlier today! Bristol City spark transfer scramble as striker Maynard is put up for sale By Sportsmail Reporter Premier League clubs have been put on red alert after Bristol City striker Nicky Maynard was made available for transfer. The Robins forward has scored 45 goals in 113 games for the club, despite their struggles at the bottom of the Championship. Newcastle, Queens Park Rangers, Everton and Blackburn have all been monitoring Maynard while promotion hopefuls Leicester City and West Ham are also interested. The 25-year-old's contract expires next summer and City have been unable to negotiate a new deal with their star striker. Their decision to put him up for sale is bound to spark a transfer scramble when the window opens in January. City boss Derek McInnes admitted the club were left with no option. 'For some time now Nicky has had a very good offer on the table, showing the club’s ambition and our desire to secure his future with us beyond the end of this season,' he told the club’s official website. Blow: Derek McInnes will miss Maynard's goals for his City side 'Nicky has made it clear he does not wish to enter into any more discussions at this time. 'As much as I would like to keep Nicky at the club beyond the end of this season, we are left in an unenviable situation. 'We must protect the club and, therefore, we have no alternative but to seek offers for Nicky during the forthcoming January transfer window.' If this was a year ago then Wine gums would be our first choice. Now, though, I don't see us going for Maynard.
Jelavic is the one who excites me.

He sounds a typical Rs signing www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2077950/Alexander-Hleb-offered-QPR.html?QPR considering move for Hleb as Barcelona offer flop to Premier League clubs By SPORTSMAIL REPORTER Last updated at 10:11 AM on 23rd December 2011 Barcelona have offered former Arsenal and Birmingham midfielder Alexander Hleb to QPR. The Belarussian, 30, has endured a torrid time since leaving Arsenal for the Catalan giants in 2008. His latest loan spell, to Wolfsburg, expires on December 31 and the German side have declined the option to sign him permanently. But, according to the Daily Mirror, QPR have expressed an interest in taking Hleb back to the Premier League after he was offered to several top flight clubs. Hleb would be available on a free as Barcelona are willing to release him if Neil Warnock's side take over his contract. Wolfsburg are the third club Hleb has been loaned out to since he failed to make an impact at Nou Camp in his debut season in Spain in 2008-09. Hleb has had loan spells at VFB Stuttgart, from whom he was signed by Arsenal back in 2005, and Birmingham, for whom he played last season. The midfielder has been beset by injury problems this season, and QPR will hope that he is over those if he arrives in London. On Hleb's imminent departure, Wolfsburg coach Felix Magath said earlier this month: 'This is very, very unfortunate. I would have gladly taken up the option to sign Hleb (permanently) but the recurring injury problems prevent that.'The Belarus international made only four league appearances fro Wolfsburg, three as a substitute, since joining on the final day of the transfer window in August. On his imminent exit, Hleb said: '(This setback) hits me hard, of course, because I'd great plans here in Germany.' lets just get a couple of defenders--any more forwards and lord knows what bloody formation we could end up playing--think the players are confused enough as it is--Onuha would be my choice so lets chuck money at one class signing rather than three average ones

And now Kenwyne Jones QPR boss Warnock to offer Jones an escape from Stoke By SPORTSMAIL REPORTER Last updated at 10:46 PM on 23rd December 2011 QPR are considering a move for Stoke striker Kenwyne Jones. Manager Neil Warnock is eager to sign up to five players next month and wants the majority to have Premier League experience. Jones, 27, is growing frustrated at his lack of opportunities to start, with Peter Crouch and Jon Walters forming a strong partnership. Stoke boss Tony Pulis is looking to add two players and is keen on VVV Venlo striker Michael Uchebo and Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha. Although Zaha is likely to go elsewhere, the fact Pulis is looking for more strikers will not improve Jones' chances at Stoke. Warnock has money to spend and, while the likes of Bobby Zamora and Jermain Defoe may be on his wishlist, Jones could be a more realistic target and give QPR a greater physical presence. Warnock reiterated he may allow Adel Taarabt to leave if the club receive a realistic offer. The Moroccan has been linked with Paris St Germain. certainly does. if we were in Norwichs position it would be a lot easier. Any player coming in of any quality will be minful of what he is joining.....if they are a premiership player they dont want to go getting settled , moving the kids and the missus, only to find they are a championship player next season. look like we really need TF to sell them the 'plan' ............i just hope those that join are prepared for some bloody hard work as they are gonna have to play their arses off to get us out of this considerable pickle !

I suppose but Kenwyne has a mean shot on him and scores plenty of goals at this level when he gets a run of games. I think Hooper is probably a no go as we haven't been linked with him for ages but Maynard I reckon is a done deal.

Wants more Leaders thought Barton was our Leader How many leaders do you need ? Warnock wants 'leaders' QPR boss dismisses speculation linking club with attacking trio Neil Warnock wants to sign "leaders" for Queens Park Rangers in the January transfer window. The West London club currently sit just above the relegation zone having managed just one league win at Loftus Road so far this season. "We are actively looking at bringing players in and we will bring players in, but it is not easy in January." With his side struggling at the bottom end of the table, Warnock has spoken of the need to strengthen the squad at his disposal if QPR are to retain their top-flight status. "I don't think we have enough leaders," he said. "That is one department I am looking to bring players in. "You can get leaders on the pitch and you can see certain players (which make you envious). "We do have one or two here, but I probably have to look at using them a little more than I do. "In the past it has always been a priority to check a player's character. "But when you look at players at home and abroad it is impossible to do all your checks on every aspect of them. "You go with your gut feeling really." Despite stressing his desire to bring in some new faces, Warnock does not expect any arrivals before the trip to Newcastle on 15th January. He has also quashed speculation linking QPR with moves for Bristol City striker Nicky Maynard, who has refused the offer of a new contract at his current club, Barcelona's Alexander Hleb and Bobby Zamora of Fulham. When asked specifically about Zamora, Warnock said: "Are we not after Fulham striker Andy Johnson as well? I saw that one last week. "It is not for me to talk about other people's players. I have got enough on my own plate trying to get players in. "We are actively looking at bringing players in and we will bring players in, but it is not easy in January." The former Sheffield United boss admits he is looking to add depth to his forward line though, as well as recruiting some defensive reinforcements. "You probably don't get your number one choice and you go onto your number two choice, et cetera," he added. "I don't know what choice I will get but I hope to bring one or even two forwards in and a couple of defenders. "I don't know the specific numbers I am looking to sign because you don't know who becomes available. "You can have your targets but they might be unrealistic so you have to have players as back-up that can do just as good a job if you can. "We do need certain players for definite in certain areas." .

Leaders he must mean Defender leaders , Jones a good Striker but not really what i would call a leader ? Not sure Rory if we are after Maynard , may go for experienced Prem Strikers already ?
