no unfortunately i think the guy is a tosser but he has not been approached or anything hopefully at the bottom of the list if NW cannot get anyone else.
i hope we get our 1st or 2nd choices is all i can say otherwise it will be a team of nutcases a bit like the govnor allowing all the loonies out at 3pm on a saturday for their weekly slaughter.lol
seriously he is on the list (fact)

I think you might be mistaking a news report somewhere. I saw an interview on SSN earlier with Ally McCoist where he said he was very interested in bringing Diouf back to RANGERS. Easy mistake to make I guess

hahaha hello padstow no not mistaken but he is down the list though. it is true rangers are after him as is stoke city apparantly if im honest it is very doubtful we would have to pursue the scumbag because by tomorrow evening we should have a couple more quality players and it will convince the others NW is after to come to us so that should i hope be the end of that.

I know for a 'fact' Warnock wouldn't touch Diouf with a barge pole and what about all those players from last year that said if we played against him again they would hack him down?? THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN!!!! Also what about Mackie??? He would probably start fights with him in training.

Here's the news story from yesterday but as I said Ally McCoist confirmed his interest on the TV today! I think we're safe (he also states he doesn't want a relagation dogfight (meaning Blackburn) so I don't think he'd be interested in us anyway! ) news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14638086.stmEl-Hadji Diouf has told BBC Radio Scotland that he wants to come back to Rangers. The Senegalese forward spent the second half of last season on loan at Ibrox but is now back at Blackburn Rovers. Rovers boss Steve Kean says Diouf is not part of his plans for the campaign ahead, so the player is asking Ibrox boss Ally McCoist to take him back. "I would definitely go back for him and for the fans. I don't want to play for Blackburn any more," Diouf said. "I've got a lot of clubs contacting me just now. Continue reading the main story The Old Firm game is the number one game in the world. On the pitch it is like a war, but beautiful. A good war El-Hadji Diouf "I don't want to go somewhere where I am fighting a relegation battle. I'd rather be fighting to win a title again like last year when I won with Rangers. "It is a big team, I enjoyed winning the title and making a lot of fans happy. "I want Rangers to win the title again this season because Coisty is a good guy." And Diouf told Sportsound that he is unconcerned by the perceived gulf in quality between the top leagues in Scotland and England. "I came to Scotland because of one thing: I knew Rangers were a good team. "Celtic against Rangers is 10 times better than Liverpool against Manchester United or something like that. "The Old Firm game is the number one game in the world. What I feel about this game I have never felt in my life. On the pitch it is like a war, but beautiful. A good war." Diouf has been joined at Blackburn Rovers by new Scottish signing David Goodwillie, but admits he would have advised the former Dundee United striker against a move to England. "I speak to David Goodwillie every day at the training ground," he commented. "I tell him that if he has the chance to play for Rangers he should jump at it, because it is one of the best clubs in the world. "I am very surprised he chose Blackburn. He's a good guy and I will do everything I can to help him."

Barton in talks over £10million move Published 22:59 24/08/11 By Alan Nixon . Joey Barton is in talks about joining ambitious QPR on a staggering £10million contract. Barton has travelled to London to discuss a free transfer move from Newcastle, as Rangers attempt to throw some cash around under new owner Tony Fernandes. The midfield firebrand snubbed an approach from the Premier League new boy just days ago, but has now agree to speak to them to find out about their plans. Newcastle will let Barton move on - as they first announced three weeks ago - and QPR hope their new-found funds under Fernandes will persuade him that they are serious. Barton has seen several potential moves come and go, with Arsenal,Tottenham, Stoke, Everton and Celtic all backing away for various reasons after expressing initial interest. Now Rangers think their offer, of £60,000-a-week for four seasons, will secure his services. It is the best financial offer on the table for Barton, who turns 29 next week, but he is also considering the football side of the switch. QPR also want West Ham and England midfielder Scott Parker and are in talks with Manchester City's England winger Shaun Wright-Phillips. And their new willingness to pay huge salaries is giving them a chance of pulling off all three deals. If SWP , PARKER and Barton dont sign , who we will turn to in midfield/wingers?
Bullard now gone . Cole will end up at Spurs .Who else ??
See Adebayor has moved , that spells the exit for Pavlechenko or Crouch then.

Not a fan of Bentley , did ok at Blackburn with Pedersen etc but never looked half the player since. I like the look of Emnes but never seen us linked with him unless we were watching him really rather than the defender.
I reckon we will sign 1 of the 3 Barton , SWP , Parker but havnt a clue which one? cant remember who i said we wouls sign , am going to relook

Parker to Spurs maybe , but not 100% yet . Cole to Spurs deffo.

I want to change mine.
I would like to replace Puncheon with SWP because after what Neil said about Southampton's board today I doubt they will do business with us.
Also like to take Simpson out because today he rubbished reports linking with a move away from NUFC.

Barton passes QPR medical Undecided midfielder staying in London on Thursday night Last Updated: August 25, 2011 9:01pm
.Sky Sports sources understand Joey Barton has passed his medical at Queens Park Rangers but is still deciding whether he wants to move to Loftus Road.
The Newcastle midfielder was made available on a free transfer earlier this summer following his contract dispute with St James' Park officials.
QPR, funded by the recent takeover of Tony Fernandes, are understood to have made an ambitious contract offer to Barton as a result and he travelled to London on Wednesday.
The 28-year-old has been holding talks with QPR, who won last season's Championship, over the past 24 hours but he remains undecided.
Barton passed his medical on Thursday, however, he has in the past made it clear his preference would be to remain with Newcastle.
The midfielder is staying in London on Thursday night while he discusses his options with his representatives and as a consequence will not train with Newcastle on Friday morning.
Alan Pardew's club were on Thursday night taking on Sc**thorpe in the Carling Cup and are set to host Fulham in the Premier League on Sunday.

Managed to hear all the neg vibes on the Alan Brazil breakfast show as in "Barton opens his mouth and with the greatest respect to QPR fans, ends up at Rangers" Yeah cheers Alan, thanks for that from an ex Rangers player. I have to say as i have said on another thread, i have the greatest respect for NW,and trust him i do, but this drags our name through the mud, he is not a Ranger, i dont want him in hoops no matter how good he is. HE DOES NOT WANT TO BE HERE , SHOW HIM THE DOOR. WE ARE BETTER THAN THIS PREMIERSHIP OR NOT.
cheers,
Jay.
