To be fair, if we did get 900k for Gorkss then that is basically a straight swap. So really that's quite a good deal. He has Prem experience.

Inter's technical director Marco Branca is keen to shift Muntari's £75,000-a-week wages off the pay roll after he struggled to settle and show his best form after a £12million move from Portsmouth in 2008. Sunderland managed to negotiate a significant reduction in salary and sign him on loan in January, but the temperamental Ghanaian only made nine league appearances before being shipped back to Italy. However, Muntari still has a number of admirers in the Premier League, and with Inter ready to cut their losses Fulham and Queens Park Rangers have both expressed a firm interest.Newcastle United are also weighing up a move, but despite not being put off by his Sunderland connections Magpies manager Alan Pardew will try and sign other midfield targets first as he attempts to replace Joey Barton. Any deal looks like it will go down to the 11pm deadline on Wednesday, with all interested parties yet to fully show their hands. I have a bad feeling that tomorrow could be a bit of a disappointment. We are meant to be signing Ferdinand which isn't too great and then all the players I wanted us to sign look like they are going elsewhere. Onouha has turned us down and Dann looks to be on the way to Blackburn

Of course Crouch is the player many thought we WOULD be signing when we went up in May! (And that Gianni would be pushing it because it would be popular with fans.)

Crouch is not worth over 10m.
I hope we don't buy him, Bothroyd hasn't had a chance to show what he can do yet?

Crouch is not worth over 10m. I hope we don't buy him, Bothroyd hasn't had a chance to show what he can do yet? Ditto, also I don't think Crouch would be that effective in the way we play. So far we haven't really crossed the ball into the box that much and I can't see Warnock changing his tactics for one player.

Crouch is not worth over 10m. I hope we don't buy him, Bothroyd hasn't had a chance to show what he can do yet? That kind of money is ridicuous for Crouch. I doubt he's worth half that. I'd much prefer us to go for 2 or 3 cheaper players instead.

So far we haven't really crossed the ball into the box that much and I can't see Warnock changing his tactics for one player. He only played 20 minutes on Saturday, but I was impressed with Jay's touch and awereness. I don't mind buying Man City's castoffs, but do we really want Sunderland and Tottenham's?

Sorry but we need at least 3. Two new CB's and a winger. A striker isn't needed that much.

I read it was done deal/done and dusted/blah blah blah....
But as I should have learned by now: If it's not on the Official, it's not signed, sealed and delivered
