Today we lost everyone’s hero.
The finest player to ever wear the blue and white hoops, bar none.
Now forever in your prime tearing down the wing, terrorising defenders and scoring goals no one else ever could.

Very good battling against a cynical basic team in Rotherham who had no intention of playing football.
That’s a very good sign and well done Willock who I thought was not justified to be in the team.

A bit of luck, some dodgy decisions in our favour and a bit of hard work but we did it.
But Willock no longer deserves his place. Sadly, he was slow in transition, lost in the build up and profligate in front of goal.

Andersen really making a decent contribution. I’m not saying he’s a world beater but he’s a good find for a free transfer

Well that’s a turn up.
Mind you we’ve been fairly ineffectual for the most part. Both sides poor.

x.com/qpr/status/1754528557169090563?s=46🇩🇰 𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗘𝗡 🇩🇰 Lucas Andersen has completed a permanent move to QPR, joining on a free transfer after leaving Danish side AaB Aalborg. The 29-year-old attacking midfielder is relishing the opportunity to experience English football for the first time, having previously played in the Netherlands and Switzerland, as well as Denmark. “I am so excited,” he said. “This is a big opportunity, and I am really grateful and proud to represent the club and play in a historical stadium. “In Denmark, English football is very popular. You hear a lot about the Premier League and the Championship so I am really looking forward to it. “This is another dream come true for me. I will do everything to achieve what is possible.” Andersen’s move to W12 sees him reunited with R’s head coach Martí Cifuentes, who he worked with for a year at Aalborg, and he admitted: “It will be amazing to join him again. “I know his playing style, and I know he knows my abilities, so it is a good start.” Andersen, who spent four years with Dutch giants Ajax between 2012 and 2016 and is known for his technical ability, is fully aware of the physical nature of England’s second tier – and he is ready for it. “I am excited about that,” he said. “That is one of the things that I am looking forward to, to see the pace, see the level, see the quality. “It is all about playing smart and being quick in the mind.” Andersen has been able to learn about some of QPR’s history through his agent Mikkel Beck, who enjoyed a loan spell with us in 2000. The forward made 11 appearances during a two-month period, scoring four times. “He has a lot of good stories about the club,” Andersen said, “and he has told me about some goals that he scored. “It would be nice to use some of those quotes back on him!” QPR CEO Christian Nourry said: “After our work last week, this is a very pleasing piece of business and I am delighted we have been able to find a solution to bring Lucas in. “He performed above the median as a line-breaking 10 specifically for our possession-based 4-3-3 conceptual shape in data screening and was crucially, given our situation managing profitability and sustainability regulations, available on a free transfer owing to his former club’s relegation. “The fact he has worked with Martí before – and given the fact there are just three months remaining of the season and the context that we are in – is a hugely significant bonus. “Everyone at the club will support them in their quest to create more special moments together.” R’s gaffer Cifuentes said: “I am very happy we have been able to bring Lucas in. “He is a very nice addition to the squad, very professional and will add quality on and off the pitch.” Cifuentes confirmed the versatility of Andersen is also a huge advantage, explaining: “He has played in different positions in his career, either as a winger or a No.10, but definitely one of the things we like from him is that he can play in different positions. “He is an offensive, attacking player that will be helpful for our strikers and our other attacking players. He is also very good at set-pieces. “He has international experience and I am happy that he can join us in this situation. He will add skills that we are looking for and I am sure he will prove that he is a quality player.” Andersen will wear the No.25 shirt. This transfer is subject to a work permit and international clearance.

I’d like to think that one of the things Nourry has done already is state we had no money so that it stopped QPR being the “soft touch” club that always seemed to get shafted on both incoming and outgoing deals as everyone always knew we were desperate.
Also had the effect of dampening fans ever more wild expectations so. When signings were made it’s a motivating surprise for all of us.

An improvement on Dozzell with the added bonus he can play at centre back or do a turn at right back which given the fragility of our first choices options in those positions is quite possible

He’s never recovered from a nightmare partnership with Dickie last season. Get him gone and risk seeing out the season with CB covered by JCS, Cook, Fox and Field can step back if necessary

Not my words, I stole this off a QPR FB Page. Ignore the Frey loan, he’s at Schalke on loan with Antwerp the parent club
……
So it looks like we are signing the 29 year old Swiss striker michi frey his goal stats I've seen show that for Royal Antwerp he is on loan to is 33 goals in 69 games
We are also looking at signing another 2 players CDM - Jonathan Varane L'Equipe report that QPR are keen to bring Jonathan Varane to Loftus Road on a loan-to-buy deal from Sporting de Gijón. The 22-year-old is the brother of Manchester United star Raphael Varane.
CDM - James Lea-Siliki The Evening Standard link QPR with the free agent who has played for Rennes, Middlesbrough and, most recently, Estoril in Portugal.

Strong enough I’m going to change prediction to a win. U rrrrssss 💙 Of course, should have stuck with my original prediction. Sigh. The yellow cards were all daft. Colback has always been like that but I wonder if he’s lost pace because there must be something to account for how late he is in the challenge. Don’t write him off yet. He still has the chance to be a pivotal figure in the relegation fight.

Certainly very heartfelt even if it’s a different impression than that of a few fans who have wanted him gone for a while…
Dear Chris Ramsey,
As I sit down to pen this letter, my heart brims with gratitude, admiration, and a touch of nostalgia. It's a moment to reflect on a journey that has left an indelible mark on my family and the Queens Park Rangers community. Today, we bid you farewell, not just as a technical director but as a guiding light who shaped the destinies of young footballing talents and a true hero in our eyes.
Your nine-year tenure at QPR was more than just a professional commitment; it was a journey that intertwined our lives with the beautiful game of football. I remember the day you stepped into our story, back in 2014 when you took up the role of Head of Player Development. Little did I know then that our paths would cross in such a profound way.
I want to share a personal story, one that encapsulates the essence of your dedication to QPR and British football. It's a story about a battle, a battle that took place off the pitch but was just as intense as any matchday encounter. It's a story about my son, Rayan Kolli, and how you stood like a rock, defending QPR's interests and nurturing his potential.
Rayan, at the age of 16, had the opportunity to join West Ham, a tempting prospect for any young footballer. The offers were enticing, and many believed that this was the path he should take. But you, Chris, saw something more profound. You saw the promise, the potential, and the value that Rayan held for QPR's future.
You made a tough call, one that required tremendous courage. You turned down significant offers, you challenged us in a six-month-long battle, and you decided to take the matter to tribunal to prevent Rayan from leaving QPR. It was a decision that wasn't understood by many at the time, but you had a plan, a vision for his growth, and an unshakable belief in the club's future.
On December 2021, that final meeting with West Ham defined the path we would take. They wanted Rayan desperately, but you, Chris, had decided to stand firm. You were willing to go to tribunal to protect QPR's interests, and I couldn't help but wonder why. Why would you do this? The answer, we discovered, lay in the future.
Two years later, after Rayan's return to QPR, we finally understood the reason behind your unwavering stance. He made his debut at the age of 18, and it became clear that you had nurtured not just a player but a potential star. Your vision had prevailed, and QPR was richer for it.
Your dedication extended far beyond Rayan, though. You believed in the philosophy that the development of the individual comes first, above results. You were there through thick and thin, rising up with the players from the academy, and your fingerprints can be seen on the careers of many, from Harry Kane to Danny Rose to Harry Winks.
I have no doubt that in the next 24 years, the world will witness the fruits of your labor as these talents rise through the ranks and make their mark on the first team. And as a devoted supporter and a father, I want to say thank you from the depths of my heart for everything you've done for my son and countless others.
You have left an indelible mark on the history of Queens Park Rangers, and your legacy will forever be cherished. I know we may have had our battles, but today, I want to say that I'm truly grateful that you prevailed. You were the protector of QPR's future, and for that, we owe you a debt of gratitude.
As you step into the next chapter of your journey, I want to wish you all the success and happiness in the world. May your passion for football continue to inspire, and may your impact on the game be felt for generations to come.
With the utmost respect and heartfelt gratitude,
Badis L Kolli
