Why the hell should Anton be made to pay for that no good Sc*m's racist comments. We need to stand firm with Anton (everyone, players staff and fans) and refuse to have anything to do with Terry. No handshakes, club support and fan support. Sharky my support for Ferdinand is unwavering. Am really impatient for the FA axe to fall on JT. But a defence that has shipped 9 gaols in the first 3 games needs to be shaken up. I am not saying the Anton is wholly to blame but I believe that Sparky will look to test other partnerships in the centre of defence. Ferdinand will be on the bench on Saturday. Problem solved. I take it that subs don't shake hands.

Gramps what a lovely story!!.
Really pleased to hear that you guys had a good day at the Loft and the club and staff were accomodating.
I have been a fan since 1968 and have taken many youngsters, boys and girls. including my own daughters to see games at Rangers. I haven't done so for a long while now and as grandad to a 6 year old grandaughter I was planning to take her to her first game this season, however, I have yet to persuade her mother, so positive stories such as this one helps my case.

Feeling a bit flat is ok but we shouldn't get despondent. Yes the performance against Swans was c**p but we gained a point against Nowich and didn't lose badly to Man C...we could even have done better with some luck and accuracy.
I am positive about the Chels game. I think we will get a draw or even better.
I saw the cup game against Walsall and it took some time for Faulin to find his measure but when he did, it was wonderful to see him demand the ball and distribute with aplomp. I spotted 1 pass astray from him all game!!
I think we now have a winning team and as others have said we need a bit of patience for familiarity to emerge. As soon as Sparky gets the back line and the shape of the team right just watch us go.

I dont understand the view that dropping Tarbs makes the team more compact and to what end.
Tarbs creates havoc for defenses when he's in possesion and creates the potential for goal scoring opportunities.
The question that should be addressed is the one everyone appears to state and take for granted....that he doesn't play well away from home!!!
Why not? Are they using a different ball? Is the grass different? Shouldn't the manager not see that and remedy it instead of dropping our most creative player??!!

No stress Gramps, a decision made in haste is oft repented at leisure. He'll change his mind when we are in the champions cup next season.

I wouldn't say I am particularly fond of Sparky....but arguably, he's kept us up. He has a winner's attitude. He is disciplined. He is tough. He got Tarbs playing again. He added some very skilled players to the team.
So, I think he will deliver. First by establishing QPR in the Prem, then getting us silverware or close it, cup semis or finals.

Took the bus home did he?

I think we all pretty much agree we need a class Center Half...as our #1 Need.
I certainly hope we get that. And if not that, at least a short-term central defender.
But unless there's someone really classy - like supposedly KI, I'd certainly be happy without some of these other names being mentioned in the press.
I think we can now afford to wait until really class players/bargains come along - rather than fill up the squad/and the wage bill with second-raters that we don't really need
Hear, hear. and maybe RVP too.

Lets hope it's not Sparky!!. Sam, Clark and Rodgers are all in my frame, and Di Matteo is a top favourite too but my money goes on Chris Huyton not because I think he is a bad manager but because I think he has chosen the wrong team to manage.

Although I have been on this site for a few months now, I haven't introduced myself. Before I start I want to say a big thanks to those responsible for QPR report. It is friendly and informative and I feel able to express my views about my favourite team without the fear of abuse.
My name is Arnie and I live at the moment in Northolt, Middx. I have supported QPR since about 1968 when I lived in W12 and attended Christopher Wren School. How could I support any other team when I could hear the roar of the crowd every other Saturday and I walked past South Africa road on my way to school.
My favourite QPR team was the 1975/76 team managed by Dave Sexton and captained by Gerry Francis, which was runners- up in the old 1st Division to Liverpool.
Favourite QPR player ever, Stanley Bowles (sorry Les....more later).
Favourite current player Adel Taraabt........something always happens when he's got the ball.
Best match: QPR 3 Stoke City 2 in the 75/76 season or maybe Worst match: QPR 0 Sc**thope 4, 2 seasons ago, because I travelled to Sc**thorpe with my son-in-law, a Yorkshireman and Leeds supporter and can't live down the humiliation
I chose the posting name of Grenqpr because when I joined this site I was on the Island of Grenada in the caribbean and I came upon it whilst looking for information on QPR.
Claim to fame: I was responsible for 'introducing' Les Ferdinand to QPR. He was aged about 11 or 12 at the time I took him and his cousin Tony to the Loft to watch his first professional football match. I don't recall the opposing team but I remember Les was very impressed with Gary Waddock. Sadly, I lost touch with Les following the death of his mother.

I think many here have been harsh with SWP. Saw him against Newcastle and Aston V early in the season and thought he looked excellent. I agree that his form dropped alarmingly during the season and it was obvious his confidence was shot to pieces. I believe his form will return this season.....but I dont expect to see him start against Swans

I think if we can all see our defence is light then so can Sparky. He must therefore have a plan to plug the gap. Perhaps he sees great potential in some of the current players. All we can do is trust him.... at least for now

Oh damn and blast (and several other swear words not allowed here), I was halfways through buying one of the few tickets left when it dawned on me that I would be flying back from New York that very day. I now deeply regret having agreed to accompany my daughter to New York.
I like Swansea too......they alway good for 3 points....damn!!!

Tremendous athlelte, tremendous attitude, tremendous footballer. Mackie has won me over too. When I saw him playing in the championship I could see he was a fighter but I didn't see him as a prem player and he was on my list to go.
Following his comeback from his dreadful injury I began to notice not just his attitude and passion but his skill culminating in what was for me QPR's goal of the season at City on the last day. He did everything right. He timed his run perfectly, yes, the cross was good, but he had to get there. He kept his eyes on the ball, then he headed the ball down which made it impossible for gaolkeeper and defenders to keep out. A magnifient goal !!!.
He must be a nightmare for defenders, he is so awkward, his feet just doesn't look right but he still presents a treatening presence, and more, to defences. When you think, oh dear he's lost the ball, he somehow emerges from a melee with ball and threatening position to attack the goal.
He is a key player for the RRRRRRR's. Last season playing in a team struggling for form and looking like relegation material, his performances were exemplary.
Sell everybody but keep Mackie.

It's not too hard to use Twitter sensibly and talking with your public mouth, keeping private thoughts to yourself. Just a little bit of self-awareness and caution is all that is required. (Fraserinbc) #6
Now that's simple common sense. Something many of our over-paid/rated/hyped footballers lack as well as the inability to understand what WWW means.

Oh no no no!!! It's much too early for me to start stressing. I want to be positive and think comfortable mid-table with Cisse and Taraabt scoring scores of beautiful beautiful goals, a good Fa cup run maybe semi finals, beat City and Chelsea twice.
Now that's not much to ask for all that stress I put up with last season is it?
I am confident MH will invest in a class CB before the season starts, Anton will play his heart out and The Loft will be a fortress.
RRRRRRRRRs shall not be moved.

Swans Soton Hammers
I think Swans will be relegated. Think Rodgers done a good job with the tippy-tappy but now he's gone they won't be able to sustain it. I think Soton will collapse and be relegated. That leaves 1 other team. Maybe Hammers or Reading or West Brom will all be in the frame. I go for Hammers
