Because they have committed ball boys!!! LOL . I like the Swans although I picked them for relegation because they lost Rodgers and i thought their new manager would not succeed in keeping them up. Proven wrong again. Hope they trash Chelscum

A lot about Aston Villa but high praise and congratulations to Bradford City. To beat teams from all four Divisions and take the scalp of three Premiership sides including this one over two legs prove their passage to Wembley was no fluke. Good Luck to them they were under the cosh for long periods in both games but with some heroic goalkeeping, hard work and a bit of luck they bounced back to expose Villa's frailities in defence. It was haunting to watch Villa from corners as they looked they could always get exposed at any time and reminded me of us earlier this season. In some ways I would like to see Chelsea turn their semi around and then get beaten by Bradford in the Final. Oh what joy that would bring. Oh joy. Well done Bradford. Watched both games. Well deserved win. Now why can't WE beat 3 premiership sides?

I can't understand either why both Hughewhat s AND Rednapp seem to be preoccupied with midfielders. Perhpas the plan is to play 11 midfielders, keep the ball for 90 mins and prevent the opposition from scoring. Isn't it obvious that we need is CBs and goalscorers

Simple basics on this thread, lambethwalk put up stats on workrate based upon mileage covered and Mackie was not in the top three. For this, he was immediately put down. Or perhaps because he said Mackie was league 1 at best. However, if a wide player who has supposedly, as someone said, snuffed out Naughton, has run less distance than Shaun Derry then questions need to be asked. Personally, I do not believe that Derry ran the second most distance of all our players so I would like to see where these figures came from. This does not distract from the fact that Mackie had very little visible impact on the game itself. Where was he playing? Someone didn't know coz they mention his lack of support up front. He wasn't up front so a moot point. If he was stopping Naughton, frightening right footed left back that he is, then he was clearly not up front. I think we all know that the Chels*** formation was being employed and Taaravt was that man. Mackie likes to think he's the man to play up top, he considers himself a striker and he's doing his job for the team by playing wide. Yes, laudable indeed but only so if you are a good striker played out of position. Mackie is not that. If he was, when Fabio ran in from the left, he would not have jogged behind the defender towards the near post, he would have bust a gut to get into space in the middle or the far post. I could go on with points about Mackie that annoy me, arm waving, foot stamping and point out further times where his lack of ability has let himself or more importantly us down. Like the lovely little pass from Taarabt at Chels*** that he failed to control then when he should have shot, no left foot, then fell over after an air shot. He wonders why Taarabt doesn't pass to him more often, voila Jamie! I've felt the need to write this because I believe we cannot have players above reproach because we love him, I love him, want him with us not against us but blind loyalty is pointless. All players and fans must accept honesty and sensible criticism. If they can't it's they that have the problem. Of course he has many plus points and when you set out a team of workers to not get beat he's a vital cog but let's appraise players on performance not love. Good post CPR but lets have some constructive criticism, like you have done. If you dislike a player it is easy to see his faults and ignore his abilities, and sometimes I think one or 2 players are all to often judged unfairly. Over 2 years ago I found myself in Sc**thope on dismal saturay afternoon watching QPR get hammered 4-0 despite leading the Championship table at the time. Suffering from shock and getting no consolation from my Leeds-supporting son-in-law. I consoled myself with the thought that when we got into the Premiership that players like Derry, (who looked that day like a man who had just run up from West London to sc**thorpe just before the match) and Mackie, ( a player who displayed few of the subtle skills needed to excell in the Premiership) would be gently sidelined and replaced with 'real talent'. 2 manager and millions of £££££££££££s later these two players are still with us and contributed massively to 2 clean sheets in the last 2 games. I tip my hat to them both. Long may they be with us despite all their shortcomings.

Enough already with the Mackie bashing. We know Mackie is not RVP or Tevez but week in week out he plays his heart out for the team, so he would always be in my team, if only on the bench. Mackie is an awkward player and could be a nightmare for defenders. Yes, he may lose the ball on occasions but he also wins the ball back too. More to the point we need him now, if only to show the high wage earning prima donnas what hard work looks like!!

No way man!! I was listening to the Chelscum V QPR game on the radio. At half time I couldn't handle the stress so I switched off and went shopping, convinced Gramps prediction for the game would be realised in the 2nd half. I thimk i prefer to watch than listen

I'm with Superckat on this one. He'll leave in the summer. He's not developing here, he needs different challenges. Sadly I agree Sabas. I think have yet to see his best> Unfortunat we may never see him achieve that a QPR

Absolutely do not want Lampard ...no way. Plus we should keep Granero. Midfield has not been the issue for us and its up front and at the back we need more quality!! Mackie will work all day but if he or Cisse get injured we have very few options. We need players we can depend on and the midfield (incoming or outgoing) should not be any part of the equation until our defence and strike force has been significantly improved. Generally agree. Don't understand why we are discussing midfielders when our problem is elsewhere. What we need is a good central defender or 2, young and fit and goal scorers and a savvy manager who will devise and effective game plan which utilises and enhances the skills our present group of players have in abundance

You know Tarbs could go missing next week at St James's but lets not dwell on negatives. He was a joy to watch on Sat. At last, at last!!! Whether he got a bollocking or not is to me less important than the position Harry decided to play him in. I always felt that Tarbs was the perfect player to supply Cisse. I think that Cisse's regular offsides could be prevented if he was given the ball earlier. I think Harry has spotted something and I be interested to see it develop.

Yes Yes Yes. The team is already playing better. HR will sort out the tactics, motivate players to play their best and win games. We may need a couple key players but I think we already have the players we need to remain in the premiership. We have some very talented players but they have not been performing. That is what needs to change.

Seems the perfect way to exclude racism from football:
1 Belittle and blame victims, like the Serbian FA and our own football genius JT
2 Deny it ever happened, like ditto as above.
3 Blame society. Racism is a problem in society, like Michel Platini.
Actually I am now really impressed with the English FA efforts since the 70s aand 80s with the Kick racism out of football initiative. Despite their leniency with JT their response appears positively progressive compared with the neanderthals of continental Europe.

My opinion is that it is still too early to sack Hughes. I still have'nt warmed to Hughes. I don't like his personality, I don't like his style of football and to me some his tactics are questionable. I think he has erred by failing to get the quality central defender we so desperately needed.
But he is our manager and he is a fighter and to change him now with the possible consequence of losing other key staff would be a mistake which will be expensive both financially and in terms of the future of QPR.
I am still shocked by the manner in which our last (successful) manager was deposed of and, as we have experienced this season, too many changes; such as the mass influx of players, who we all welcomed in anticipation of an exciting and successful 2012/13 season, have caused some of the problems our team is experiencing.
I actually like the managerial qualities of HR, the man talked of as Hughes's replacement but I really think this is cloud cuckoo-land. A new manager would need time to bed in, he wil need time to learn about his players.....assuming he won't be given loads-a-money to buy new players.....meanwhile the teams continue to lose as the season end and the Championship draw nearer.
We are at the bottom of the table. Rock bottom. That is obviously not where we want to be, but we are not yet cast adrift and there are signs that things are beginning to changes for the better on the field.
So, lets all have some patience, have faith, support our team and come the end of the season we'll all be looking forward to another season in the Prem.
RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRs ever

4 reasons he should be in the team. 1 He scores goals. And good ones too.
2 Pin point passes.
3 Free kicks and corners.
4 He lifts the fans.

Nice piece Roller. Loved your description of De Bush, a place I spent most of my teenage and twenties and i didn't think it could be seen and described so attractively.
[. We weren’t outplayed, we weren’t subjected to spells of heavy pressure, we were probably the better side, but we lost. Two set pieces, a lack of concentration at the back and good night.]
Yes, very succinct summary of the game from our point of view

NO. 1we lost to 2 set pieces and a scrambled goals. Our set pieces were poor and a superb goal by Cisse which raised my hopes was all for nought. Worse I paid twice to see the game having turned up to the Loft without my pre-bought ticket and forced to buy another.
Even the good penalty save by Cesar couldn't lift my gloom

I have the definitve answer to this handshake problem. It is time to modernise the handshake. most sportsmen now exchange a high-five instead of handshakes. Use a high five instead of the handshake.
Because the high-five requires a degree of rhythm to complete, it is certain that most footballers, who lack any rhythm at all (judging by their pathetic goal celebration attempts) will fail to achieve the high-five. Hands therefore will be flailing about in thin air. They need never touch each other!!!.
Oh dear, having made a case for the high-five I have now spotted the weakness in my argument.
Ferdinand in line to high-five Terry, who is standing immediately next to Ashley Cole, when Ferdinand hand misses Terry hand in the high-five attempt, Fedinand's hand slaps Cole squarely in the face.
Needs a re-think, back to the drawing board !!

Qprian I think you have selected a good team there but I would leave Hoilett on the bench in favour of Taarabt. We will see Sharky's thinking with his choice of goalkeepers. I feel very positive about this game and have predicted a win for us.
