Was a very good read re the off-the-field feelings of coming to a night game. Some great memories. (And back in the old days, night games at Loftus Road were (usually) great games for us

Thanks Roller. Not a hopeful sign though if this represents a sampling of how we will perform this season.

Nice piece Roller. Loved your description of De Bush, a place I spent most of my teenage and twenties and i didn't think it could be seen and described so attractively.
[. We weren’t outplayed, we weren’t subjected to spells of heavy pressure, we were probably the better side, but we lost. Two set pieces, a lack of concentration at the back and good night.]
Yes, very succinct summary of the game from our point of view

Cheers Roller, very evocative, shame about the result, hope you weren't as pissed off as I was!

Love the way this was written mate. Very descriptive, last time I went to the bush there was a lot of Somalian lads standing threatingly on street corners! Seriously, a great piece mate.

The first times I visited LR I went there through the cozy SAfrica Rd/White City, but one evening me and my Estonian friend decided to walk to the Shepherds Bush station after the game. I instantly loved the Uxbridge Road and told him "wow, some nice atmosphere" ... should have seen his bewildered face, "really, here?!" ... and then I loved it even more

Your essays are best match reports, ever. Keep em coming. This is very kind of you Sabas, woefully inaccurate, but very kind. Maude, are you sure that it is the shopkeepers that are moody gits?
