West Brom knocked back Spurs' 4th and final bid this window. 48 mins left and we can all relax and celebrate. As for Charlie, I'll worry about him leaving for free next summer if and when that happens. Its a bridge we'll cross another day. For now, though, Charlie and Matty staying is the best transfer window news for us in years and years. The buzz around the club now with the players and fans will be HUGE. The roar when his name gets called at Loftus Road on Saturday week is going to be deafening![/ and dont forget Ned turning down Norwich to stay at Loftus Rd ,says something about the respect they have for Ramsey and the team spirit in the club

Is this the strongest squad EVER to grace the Championship (since the Championship was formed)? Ignoring U21 players and Robinson (injured): G: Green, Smithes RB: Perch LB: Yun, Konchesky, Traore CB: Onouhra, Angella, Hall, Hill DM: Sandro, Henry, Gobern, Diakite CM: Faurlin, Tozser, Doughty AM: Phillips, Fer, Chery, Luongo, Gladwin, Hoilett, Sutherland AM/F: Mackie, Emmanuel-Thomas F: Austin, Polter, Blackwood Team v Forest? Green Perch, Onouhra, Angella, Yun Sandro, Faurlin Phillips, Fer, Chery Austin Subs: Smithies, Hall, Konchesky, Henry or Toszer, Luongo, Gladwin or Mackie or JET, Polter Wow! That's a better squad than we had in any of our last 5 years...probably You might be right salts, but I still think the 72-73 promotion side had a little more to offer. That probably applies to the Burnley team of that year as well! very happy to have this squad though!

Happy That Austin is staying after months of speculation and bids that were rejected, it got wearing and just relieved it is all over. Happy that Phillips is staying for now at least. January might change that, but lets cross that bridge when we get to it. Happy that Green is staying as well, we need two decent keepers, which I believe we have. Happy that we signed Angella, should be a decent signing. Happy that Gobern has gone to Doncaster, nothing against the lad personally, but not good enough, good luck with that one Donny. Happy that Ned is staying and rejected Norwich, did not want them gloating that they signed our best defender(IMO) and new skipper. Happy we have Sandro and Fer still at the club as they should be good players for the Championship. Lets be happy we have had a good deadline day for once. U RRRRRSSSS.

Austin and Matty staying is beyond my expectations.
I feel for Charlie because he deserves to be playing in the Prem a damn site more than wasters like Adebayor and he's better than most of the strikers in the Prem right now. If he really wanted to go I felt the club should have got him his move. However, I don't know what went on behind the scenes so it would be wrong of me to cast aspersions on what the club did.
But, on a personal level I'm truly overjoyed that he's still with us.
Losing him will be a massive blow to us, almost like losing a family member, when he finally does go.
Now, lets go and get back up with this squad and give Charlie a chance to be a Prem player again, with us!

One of the quietest last days for a while. That is probably a good thing as we have bodies in already. Never dreamed Charlie and Matt Phillips would stay . I think we have a great starting 11 and a decent enough squad, better than I thought if honest. My one concern would be if Charlie gets a knock like the last time in the Championship, think he was out for 6 weeks. We struggled to score and might have the same problem? Hopefully Polter or JET will keep improving . We did leave it late getting defenders in and thought it might have affected us more than it has done. Credit where credits due and Les and CR have done pretty well I think . Good window for us Well done to everyone for adding to the thread, its not finished yet, loans can start in a week and Berahino might be free

Berahino throwing his toys out the pram and threatening to go on strike as we was not allowed to join spuds, Adebyor wants his contract paid up so he can go on a free, how different to our players that were supposedly targets for other clubs, all have them have been nothing but professional in their attitude and the way they have dealt with it well done to them all, i cant say anymore

Yes we have a very decent championship squad now. I would not worry about a Charlie injury too much. We are not sure about how Poulter would do as a replacement but more importantly we now have Chery, Fer, Louongo, Phillips at least who will be popping the goals as well. I think we may loan out a couple of players who have suddenly become "fringe" due to us keeping hold of our better players. We may also see a couple of loans come in for cover striker and right back the most likely. The atmosphere for the Forest game should be a bit special!

Not seen anything from Newcastle fans but I can guess. Something to do with bottling it? Newcastle fans are some of the biggest hypocrites out there. They'll scream blue murders if one of their player doesn't show loyalty but they can't understand when a player is loyal to another club rather than come to them.
