CHARLIE IS STAYING AND I'M SO HAPPY. We now have a full year to fully engage operation "Get Charlie to sign a new deal" This, this and this, with a heavy portion of this for dessert too. Not afraid to admit I'm pretty emotional over Austin staying. If he, Chery and Matty stay healthy and give it 100% there is absolutely no reason why we should be merely looking to survive.

From westlondonsport. It looks like Junior is staying. www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/football-wls-swansea-snub-chance-to-sign-qpr-manSwansea snub chance to sign Hoilett from QPRBy West London Sport 01/09/2015 Swansea City have rejected the chance to sign Junior Hoilett from QPR. West London Sport revealed on Sunday that Hoilett had been made available on a free transfer along with Armand Traore ahead of the transfer deadline. Hoilett, 25, wants to leave Loftus Road and Swansea previously showed some interest in the Canadian, as did a number of German clubs, but Rangers have been unable to offload him. Head coach Chris Ramsey, despite refusing to name Hoilett, hinted that he did not want to select him for QPR again following his display in the recent League Cup defeat at home to Carlisle. Hoilett has failed to impress since being signed from Blackburn in 2012 and has started just 47 league matches in his three years in west London. He was impressive in the first few matches of the 2013/2014 campaign, prompting speculation that he could be snapped up by another club. Hoilett has a £7m release clause in his contract and QPR would have accepted less, but no offers were made and both his form and market value have since deteriorated,

Nothing of substance. The WBA rumor seems to have died a death.

Is this the strongest squad EVER to grace the Championship (since the Championship was formed)?
Ignoring U21 players and Robinson (injured):
G: Green, Smithes RB: Perch LB: Yun, Konchesky, Traore CB: Onouhra, Angella, Hall, Hill DM: Sandro, Henry, Gobern, Diakite CM: Faurlin, Tozser, Doughty AM: Phillips, Fer, Chery, Luongo, Gladwin, Hoilett, Sutherland AM/F: Mackie, Emmanuel-Thomas F: Austin, Polter, Blackwood
Team v Forest? Green Perch, Onouhra, Angella, Yun Sandro, Faurlin Phillips, Fer, Chery Austin
Subs: Smithies, Hall, Konchesky, Henry or Toszer, Luongo, Gladwin or Mackie or JET, Polter
Wow! That's a better squad than we had in any of our last 5 years...probably

With the squad we hopefully will still have in a couple of hours time I can see some real debates on here about what team Ramsey should pick each week.
There will be some difficult choices I think.
Any chance we will get a surprise last minute right back or back up striker in?

The Mac perspective from getwestlondon www.getwestlondon.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/charlie-austin-stay-qpr-hoops-9970220?Charlie Austin to stay at QPR but Hoops risk losing striker for nothing next summer15:54, 1 SEPTEMBER 2015 BY MATT LEWIS Talismanic forward tweets his commitment to the cause and honours his R's contract Charlie Austin is to stay at QPR this season but the club are risking losing the striker for nothing next summer. The Hoops were braced for a flurry of late bids for the Englishman on deadline day but have received no firm offers in weeks. Crystal Palace and Leicester City are both understood to have seen bids of £12million rejected by the R’s as Chris Ramsey held out for his full £15million asking price. Newcastle, Tottenham and even Manchester United had been touted as possible destinations for a forward who proved himself at Premier League level last season. Austin banged in 18 goals in a struggling team as QPR were relegated and he has started the new campaign in fine form by hitting four goals in five games. R’s fans will be delighted to hear their talisman, who has this evening tweeted his commitment to the cause, will remain at the club as they seek a return to the top-flight. However, the prospect of seeing Austin walk away for free when his contract expires next year will fill them with dread and director of football Les Ferdinand will look to open negotiations over fresh terms. Meanwhile, Rangers have brought in Watford defender Gabriele Angella on a season-long loan to add cover at the back at Loftus Road. He said: "I want to help the club this season and do my best here - this is a new page in the book of my career. I just want to play and improve and show the fans what I can do." QPR are still waiting to discover if winger Matty Phillips is the subject of a late bid from a Premier League club and have been unable to offload Junior Hoilett or Armand Traore on free transfers.

From footballleagueworld. Good onya Neddy QPR defender rejects chance to return to Premier LeagueDate: 1st September 2015 at 4:12 pm Written by: Andrew Bell Queens Park Rangers defender Nedum Onouha has turned down the chance to join Premier League new boys Norwich City, according to West London Sport. It is reported that he rejected the move because he has no intention of leaving Loftus Road, where manager Chris Ramsey recently made him captain. With Steven Caulker already leaving the club this summer, Ramsey will have been reluctant to see his skipper leave, and he will be relieved to find out that he wants to stay in West London. Watford defender Gabriel Angella joined the club on loan today but the move will not signal the end of Onouha’s days at Rangers. Ramsey’s side were weak defensively last season but Onouha is seen as a crucial figure at the club as well as a popular figure with fans. The R’s currently sit in fourth position in the Sky Bet Championship after an impressive start to the season, with the side winning three times, drawing once and losing once. We have gambled a few hundred million in the last few season to try to get up and stay there so not selling Charlie is financially not a big thing within the greater scheme of things.
Anyway it can hardly be called a gamble because no one has offered that money and we have not turned it down. I'm back to the "it takes 2 to do a deal" theme.

CHARLIE IS STAYING AND I'M SO HAPPY. Still 90 minutes to go.... Spuds have apparently made a final offer this afternoon to West Brom for Berahino. If successful, Pullis may still come back with a last minute £25m bid for Charlie and Matty.... It ain't over 'til the fat lady sings...

From hereisthecity www.hitc.com/en-gb/2015/09/01/rodney-marsh-reacts-on-twitter-to-reports-austin-rejected-crysta/?Rodney Marsh reacts on Twitter to reports Austin rejected Crystal PalaceTim Poole @timpoolesport 13 minutes ago The Queens Park Rangers striker looks as though he will be staying at Loftus Road despite reported Crystal Palace interest. Rodney Marsh is full of praise for Charlie Austin's 'advisors' after reports broke that the QPR forward has rejected Crystal Palace on Deadline Day. Palace had appeared to be favourites to sign the 26-year-old from QPR but the striker rejected the Eagles at the 11th hour, according to the Independent. And QPR icon Marsh has praised 'whoever is advising' Austin - whose stay will no doubt be a huge boost for the R's. Marsh also agreed, however, that a stay will benefit Austin and his agent once he leaves QPR for free (through bigger signing-on fees). He seemed more interested in the fact Austin will be scoring for the R's rather than Crystal Palace, though. Some time after Marsh's tweet, Austin appeared to quash any further Crystal Palace speculation, confirming on Twitter he will remain at QPR for the rest of the Championship season. The 26-year-old could still leave Loftus Road if there is a major twist, of course, while a January exit will also be possible. But an arrangement that sees Austin leave QPR at the end of the season will be hugely beneficial for both him and the R's. Either that or the west London club keep him even then...

West Brom knocked back Spurs' 4th and final bid this window.
48 mins left and we can all relax and celebrate.
As for Charlie, I'll worry about him leaving for free next summer if and when that happens. Its a bridge we'll cross another day.
For now, though, Charlie and Matty staying is the best transfer window news for us in years and years. The buzz around the club now with the players and fans will be HUGE. The roar when his name gets called at Loftus Road on Saturday week is going to be deafening!
