There's a list of the fixtures that matter this season to us . Leicesters next 5-6 games probably tougher than ours. Burnley may only pick up 3 points from there next 7-8 games . Hull will be looking to pick up points in there next four, if we can keep close to them after the next four games there last nine much tougher than ours . Me must draw at Hull minimum. Saturday week it's WBA v Sunderland ... I think I'm at the stage where I would lean towards a WBA win or maybe draw. Sunderland v Hull 3/3 is another horrible game for us . At least the a sunderland game has made it interesting . I'm still optimistic we can finish above Leics and Burnley with there fixtures ,new need Hull to have four more dodgy games .

Love this thread har, makes good reading.☺ Amazingly villa had 10 points and were second after 4 games!. I think its 6 teams who are in the mix. 33/34 points could well be enough this season.

Good thread. Think it will be Leics and Hull and any one from the remaining four.

There's a list of the fixtures that matter this season to us . Our run in is tricky, Hull's , WBA's and Palace's probably even worse than ours if we can be level or higher than these three teams with four games to go it would be great. WBA probably the worse run in. Burnley, Leicester and Sunderland have easier run ins. Burnley play four of the bottom seven in their next four games . Then they play the top eight in the league on the spin . If we can stop them winning next weekend , stay close to them the following three games, we should be able to open up a nice gap after they play the top eight. Running out of games . Let's see what we get from Spurs Next Saturday when at Palace might have to all pray for a Sunderland v Villa draw When you look at Villa last 10 games , 6 of the top ten . Still achievable but running out of time 4 wins from 11 plus two draws. Can afford to lose five Liverpool , Man City , Chelsea probably but need something from others ..... Have to win either Spurs or Palace.
That way maximum we will be behind 17 th place on 14 th March is one point.

Shame Hull have about 5 points more than us , had that sending off not happened would have really confident of finishing above them if we got a draw.
That loss to Hull might prove pivotal .
Looking at there last ten games would say they have the worst. They have Leicester away which is when we play Palace there next nine fixtures are ... 6 of the top 7 or. 7 of the top 9 CHELSEA HOME SWANSEA AWAY SOUTHAMPTON AWAY LIVERPOOL HOME PALACE. AWAY ARSENAL HOME BURNLEY HOME SPURS AWAY MAN UTD HOME

I can't see us getting another point all season.
Even Leicester will finish above us.
The only bright light here is that most of these useless tossers will be gone once the season is over.
We probably never get back in the Prem now but what's the effing point if every time we get here we set new records for futility? And if we do come up next time I hope its with the kind of team Burnley has. Players of limited ability but prepared to give every last drop for the cause.

Tough for us alright. I would not fancy Hulls run in though! No agree, if they didnt beat Palace or Burnley, you couldnt see them getting another win this season. Burnley will be thinking they can overtake them quite easily, specially if they can just draw at Hull. Trouble for us is Hull have 6 points more than us and we cant even find a point. If we drew at Hull we would 1 pt more 23 and Hull two less 26. If we won at Hull we would be on 25 Hull would be on 25, then I would say we could finish above them. I dont want to blame individuals as its a team game but Barton's stupid Red card could well have cost us dearly. It also hindered us in midfield for three more matches. If we finish two points under Hull at the end of the season, letting them take six point off us would be a big factor. Its moments of craziness that effect seasons and Joey should really have learnt by now.

Todays win has left me very nervous, can't shake it. I was nicely settled to a long run in ordinary FA, then this spark. WBA have been very kind to us, over the decades. Thnking that settles me a bit. Their marking was dreadful today, although Zamorahs miracle lob wasn't defendable.

Hull are in serious trouble.
Jelavic injured, players suspended for red cards and a tough run in. I think they are going to drop.
Leicester have too much ground to make up and play too many teams around them who still need points to be safe. I think they've left it too late now to save themselves.
If we beat 'The Villa' tomorrow I firmly believe they go down. I think the loser of tomorrow's game pretty much is guaranteed to go down.
I get the feeling that tomorrow Villa are going to play 'not to lose'. We have to be positive tomorrow night and go for the win. We have nothing to lose now.
Play with no fear and good things can happen.

I can see us beating Newcastle, West Ham and maybe even Leicester away . 34 pounts not enough. Need to find couple of draws somewhere.
A win against Villa puts us in a favourable position specially Villa's next two games away at Spurs then Man City A Villa Draw sees us with a bit if hope still if we get 9 points from those three games and sneak one draw in the other three. A defeat will almost surely see us down now with that Sunderland result.

I think it's a must win, and was even before the Burnley and Sunderland results. I think Burnley could end up staying up anyways and we need to worry about ourselves and not others. As far as Sunderland goes, that fixture was likely to lead to a result, but they still could go down. Not all hope is gone if we draw, but it will put more pressure on us and keep Villa above us. Also as others have said, I think the loser goes down and the winner stays up, regardless of what other teams do.

A draw tonight really doesn't help either us or Villa.
Get at them early and their crowd will start getting anxious. That will transmit to their players.
The one thing Villa has which worries me is pace on the flanks. But Sinclair is out, which is a good thing for us as he's been in hot form lately.

If we beat Villa tonight we could send them on a slide and they have tough fixtures.
I'd love for Burnley to send Villa down on the last day regardless of whether we go down or not.
I think Burnley will stay up.

I think Burnley will stay up. I'd love to see us win tonight and beat the scum on the weekend. I think they're ripe for the taking. With the Prem almost sown up there isn't much for them to get motivated over. We on the other hand do. Win tonight and I can see us winning on Sunday.

Both of our schedules are fairly similar, Villa's might be a little tougher. I agree the winner tonight will get a boost that could keep them up and the loser can easily slide out of the league. I also think Chelsea might be a winnable game if we can get one tonight, they seem to be on a slide themselves and don't seem very motivated since the league is pretty much their's. But I don't want to get too carried away, tonight's game is what matters and it can make or break our season.

Har, how many points will keep us up? Im pulling my hair out going through the various permatations. One thing for sure, the 37 points we stayed up with a few years back will not be acheived by at least 4 teams.

Last season you would have stayed up on 34pts if you had a better goal difference than Cardiff, I think. 35 pts and a better GD may be enough this year. We just have to go out and try and get something from every match and win our home games.

One thing for sure, the 37 points we stayed up with a few years back will not be acheived by at least 4 teams. Agree it wont be the usual 37 this year. 36 points for sure . Maybe 35 Kilburn might just do it. WBA did stay up with 34 though but dont think will be enough. We need need 3 wins and a draw or three wins might just do it . Even if we lost Sunday we would have to beat West Ham, Newcastle and Leics all very winnable, specially with Fer back. Need to nick a point off Chelsea , Man C or Liv to allow a slip up. Our form against the top teams has been dire , 1 point from 33 . A point or two in the big games is needed.

I agree with 36, maybe 35. So three wins the bare minimum, but I think we will need something out Chelsea, Man C, and Liverpool for insurance. Plus you never know with the other three. I think West Ham is the safest bet, just because they have absolutely nothing to play for. Newcastle could get worried if they don't pick up points by then, and it will all depend if Leicester still has a chance for safety on the last day. Also, just curious harr, do you know when Fer is scheduled back?
