The truth is that no one knows who's going to do what with their fixtures.
Sometimes a team looks dead and buried, has really tricky games and suddenly something twigs and they just put a run together right at the the death that saves them. We did that in our first season back in the Prem, beating Arsenal and Spurs at home in games no one expected us to win. Sunderland did it last season, sparking their survival with an unlikey win against Chelsea.
Other times a team just completely falls to pieces and goes on a downward spiral from which they never recover, despite having easier fixtures. That happened to Birmingham when they went down. To some extent Bolton too, who had games in hand on us and still managed to finish below us.
No one knows yet what is going to happen, which is why I'm not at the point of panic and hand wringing yet. I've seen enough seasons of football to know that nothing is ever decided in January and teams down the bottom will often pull out results from nowhere when their lives depend on it and games are running out.
I've also seen loads of people from all different clubs run those BBC predictors based on relegation run ins and no one has ever come remotely close to actually getting it right.
I genuinely have no idea what will happen in our remaining fixtures or whether we will stay up or go down. But, right now, I'll take no away points and being in 16th place over having away points and being rock bottom of the table on January 1st.
All I can ask at this point is that we are not in the bottom 3. If we stay where we are the rest of the season that will be all that matters.

Must say a little worried about today's Fixtures involving our rivals
Sunderland v Liverpool - Liverpool seem to have extra injuries, not a great team, quite easy see Sunderland getting a point or three.
Leicester v Villa . 3 games unbeaten Leicester, quite easily get a point or even beat Villa today . Then Leicester have Stoke at home next week, two nice games for them and a new striker ....
WBA V Hull - horrid game for us , one of them probably picking up three points, probably Pulis .
Palace v Spurs Spurs playing well but is this Pardews first home game ?
Lastly us away at Burnley If we get nothing today Burnley could be clear of us in a few weeks . Burnleys next four games. QPR H. PALACE H. SUNDERLAND A. WBA H We would all love four games like that , three at Home .

Fixtures irrelevant for us I fear.
Could be playing The Dog and Duck next but if it's away from home we'd find a way to lose.
Starting next weekend I'm going to start following the Championship. May as well get reacquainted with it in time for next season.

Our team and manager get sprayed with confusion powders before each match and stagger through them. Still, today, I thought, we came closest to an away point had Caulker put it in instead of heading over and much earlier, Chas, hit upright.

There's a list of the fixtures that matter this season to us . Our run in is tricky, Hull's , WBA's and Palace's probably even worse than ours if we can be level or higher than these three teams with four games to go it would be great. WBA probably the worse run in. Burnley, Leicester and Sunderland have easier run ins. Burnley play four of the bottom seven in their next four games . Then they play the top eight in the league on the spin . If we can stop them winning next weekend , stay close to them the following three games, we should be able to open up a nice gap after they play the top eight. These bottom ones keep facing each other ...Sunderland v Burnley when we play at Stoke . Then when we play Southampton ...Leics v Palace. Burnley v WBA Realistically now drawing against Southampton , Spurs and Arsenal will not keep us up , with the away form being so dire. This is exactly why I kept bleeting on that 18 points was nowhere near good enough with the fixtures we had in 2014 We needed 22-23 min . Whether you love Harry or hate him , his points tally is no better than Warnocks and his win ratio is no different to Warnock and Hughes ....

No one gets relegated in January, last time i checked we are 3 points off 12. Carry on with your bleeting if thas what you enjoy!.
Twists and turns a plenty before the end of the season, though we do need away points. That is bleeding obvious!.
No im not happy, but we have as much chance of staying up as the other 9 teams in a relegation battle.

We all have the same amount of games correct. They have home games against other bottom of the table teams, Everton apart we don't. Therefore our home games are far tougher and its home games you generally pick up more points from home or in our case all. If Redknapp gets us out of this it will be a miracle . Of course miracles can happen.

We've proved that we can't. Look at Palace yesterday going to Burnley and winning despite conceding twice, like us. This was a team that couldn't score goals for love or money 3 weeks ago yet can go 2 down away from home against a relegation rival and win. What have you seen in any of our away games this season that makes you think we can do that? We are in serious trouble mate and the longer the board dithers over retaining a manager who really can't be arsed any more is the more certain our relegation is. Genuinely believe the only chance we've got is getting a new man in who actually has fresh ideas and can actually change the club culture about games away from home. Because our only chance of staying up now is beating the teams around us again and now we play all of them on the road.

As i said, we are not down. Not by a long way. Change or keep the manager will make no difference, all down to the players now.
Maybe we should just give up now?.
I can remember having these same conversations when we stayed up last time.

Personally I don't think changing Manager will keep us up Now either, its probably too late, the window would be over, the games are tough and its asking too much for a new man . TF won't act anyway so it's irrelevant I guess. Don't give up ever, try to win every game now whoevers in charge . If it's Redknapp so be it but all I'm trying to say is he ain't done to great this season and with 30 million chucked in. We are no better a team points wise now or even worse than 2011 after spending millions.

Everton spent 28 million on a striker and are in a relegation battle. Leicester had 19million pound of striking talent on the bench yesterday and lost. Bottom of the legue as well. Hughes is doing okay isn't he. You think we are down, i don't.

Of course we talk about seven teams. How many years is that that Villa keep getting out of it.
How long will this Everton slump last ? They go to Crystal Palace AWAY next , if they lost that there next five fixtures are Liverpool H, CHELSEA A , Leics H , ARSENAL A , STOKE A

We need to dig deep for our next 1/2 dozen games .
Aswell as our next six or so games being tough ...
Leicester. ....MANU A. , PALACE H. , ARSENAL A , EVERTON. H , CHELSEA H , MAN CITY A
Burnley .... SUNDERLAND. A , WEST BROM H, MAN U. A,, CHELSEA. A ,SWANSEA H. , LIVERPOOL A , MAN C. H , SOUTHAMPTON A , SPURS H , ARSENAL. H
BURNLEY are basically playing the 8 of the leagues top 9 teams (minus West Ham ) - starting Man U away in 3 weeks ..
Let's hope Hull continue to play crap , because there run in like WBA s are far tougher ..

Think no one will dispute if we end up with less than 33 or 34 points we're down.
Question is whether 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40 will be the number we need to stay up...
And whether people think "Redknapp's Marauders" will get there

Doesnt sound much 6 wins from 16 games ... But so far we only have 5 wins from 22 games Then you can see the difficulty . Even more so when you consider no away win and who we played at home to get the 5 wins.

I think we need to get a result at Stoke. We have got to the stage where we cannot afford to lose away yet again. What worries me is the fact that we have been second best at every away game.

It's quite a monkey on our back - the sooner it's shifted, the better.
Thing is, our home form has been good because we've (generally) been playing lower teams at home so far and better teams away.
So our home form is likely to dip, while the away form probably improve (well it can't get any worse...).
Only thing is, the dip in home form will probably lose us more points than an upturn in away form may gain us - unless we improve across the board as a team.
Any bums beginning to squeak yet??

We know the games we are probably going to get our five - six wins from these 10 . STOKE, SUNDERLAND. HULL WBA PALACE VILLA LEICESTER away , SOUTHAMPTON, NEWCASTLE , WEST HAM , EVERTON home . Any point we can get from Liverpool , Man City or home to Chelsea , Spurs or Arsenal a bonus one .

We should still be able to keep up with Burnley and Leics thro Feb / March There fixtures are tough
Leicester. ....PALACE H. , ARSENAL A , EVERTON. H , CHELSEA H , MAN CITY A
Burnley .... WEST BROM H, MAN U. A,, CHELSEA. A ,SWANSEA H. , LIVERPOOL A , MAN C. H , SOUTHAMPTON A , SPURS H , ARSENAL. H

NEXT THREE FIXTURES QPR- SOUTHAMPTON (H) SUNDERLAND(A)) HULL (A) ARSENAL (H) SPURS (H) LEICESTER - PALACE (H) ARSENAL (A ), EVERTON. (A), CHELSEA (H)MAN CITY (A ) HULL - MAN CITY (A) VILLA (H) QPR (H) STOKE (A) SUNDERLAND (H) PALACE - LEICESTER ( A) NEWCASTLE (H) ARSENAL (H) WEST HAM (A) SOUTHAMPTON (A). WBA - BURNLEY (A) SWANSEA (H) SUNDERLAND (A) SOUTHAMPTON (H). VILLA (A) SUNDERLAND - SWANSEA (A) QPR (H) WBA (H) MAN U (A) HULL (A) BURNLEY - WEST BROM H, MAN U. A,, CHELSEA. A ,SWANSEA H. , LIVERPOOL A then Burnleys following 4 , MAN C. H , SOUTHAMPTON A , SPURS H , ARSENAL. H Ours tough , Leicesters tougher, Hull have relegation battles , Burnley after Saturday's game going to find it difficult to pick up any points for a while. I am going to say after the next 5 games (after Spurs) we will be 18th in the table . Burnley will be bottom, Then Leics then Leics 19 th , then QPR 18 th.. Burnley hopefully will be rooted to the table right thro March and will be a bit adrift of everybody and demoralised by the time they play there last six games after Arsenal game. Then we have ten games to get what we can, keeping above Leics and Burnley and go for Hull, WBA , Palace , Villa or Sunderland our nearest rival. Ideally we will we be a few points above Leics and Burnley with 5 - 6 games to go ! Then if we are close to Palace , Hull and WBA I reckon we can catch one of these as there last five - six games are a bit tougher than ours . That's my plan for survival

Iif we can't be well in front of Burnley with there next 8 games we deserve to go down . Burnley .... MAN U. A,, CHELSEA. A ,SWANSEA H. , LIVERPOOL A , MAN C. H , SOUTHAMPTON A , SPURS H , ARSENAL
Add though, a crap game on Tuesday's. HULL V VILLA. , guess draw is the best we can hope for.
