So the attendance was? ........ Not 100% sure, but two days before we played Gillingham in a league match and clocked up a 4,169 crowd. I would have thought the attendance for the Vienna game would have been lower.

Well, this Vienna side I've not heard of has a stadium capacity of 5,000 according to google so the fan attendance wouldn't have been a surprise but the stadium size would have been!

Yeah, but back in the thirties their ground had a capacity of 85000.

Bump - and photo (Nice hoops, but the shorts...!) "The players of Queens Park Rangers Football Club shake hands with the Austrian Minister before their match against Austria's First Vienna FC at White City, London." From Bushman's Archives The move to the White City had become a financial disaster for the club and so in an effort to raise extra funds a match against top Austrian side,First Vienna. Staged on the afternoon of Monday, 30th Jan, 1933, at the White City Stadium on a pitch that had suffered from heavy frosts. Rangers were well beaten by First Vienna 3-0. Austrian Government official meets the players before the match. Left to right: Armstrong,Barrie,Goodier,Wyles,Collins,Hill. For more on the 1932-33 Season Click Here!
